Check out this awesome after effect made warp effect, it kind of reminds me to the Star Trek one sans the gay glitter they added on the second one.

Looks awesome, until you realize that you’d have no time whatsoever to see where hostiles warp off to.

In the first new star trek movie, they used a similar warp, the Narada had this UI which tracked the warp direction, which would of course be needed for something like this:

Or they could make the glow from the engines last longer kind of like a laser pointed guide to the direction they warped, also similar to some warp effects in star trek. Also that would fix the thing CMIV pointed out below

In Rubicon for certain ships / fits, this is actually the case. If you get a warp speed of around 10 AU/s or more, it can be very difficult to see where someone warped to. With 20AU/s, it’s pretty similar to what you see in this vid.

If warp and other effects both looked and sounded this cool, I would turn EVE’s sound back on after having it turned off from 5 years ago.

Star Trek or not, warping will probably look more like that than what we see in EVE.
