The fight

With the sides set the night started off with a bang. Despite Solar Fleet being allied with Black legion and Black Legion being allied to Provi-Block for the night, Solar Fleet and Provi-Block were still red to each other. The Night began when the Solar eagle fleet warped to the i-hub and began to brawl it out with the Provi-block Support fleet. After some initial losses on both sides Goonswarm Federation de-cloaked and dropped the first bombs of the evening, taking out a nice chunk of the Provi-Block Support fleet.

Just as the Provi-Block support fleet is forced to warp off, the Insidious Empire and Pandemic legion forces arrived on field and began to brawl it out with Solar. Solar is quickly forced off field due to the enemy forces vastly outnumbering them. A few seconds later Black legion arrived on grid. As Black legion landed, The Insidious Empire fleet warped off and then re-entered the grid just below Black legion’s main fleet in an attempt to sandwich Black legion between their fleet and Pandemic legions’. Solar fleet warped back onto field just behind Pandemic Legions’ forces and thus the brawl began. As Black legion and Pandemic legion targeted each other’s Support ships, Insidious Empire alpha’d off some Black legion tengu’s. Northern Coalition. then de-cloaked and bombed the Solar forces, grabbing some nice kills.

As the bombs connected to the main solar fleet, the main Provi-Block fleet arrived on grid, launched their sentry’s and began to engage Solar fleet, when disaster strikes for the Provi-Block forces.

After loosing their fleet to a bomb run from Nulli Secunda on the previous night (Killmails), you would expect the Provi-Block fleet not to make the same mistake again right? Unfortunately not.

As quickly as they had landed on grid, they were removed from it, courtesy of the CFC Bomber’s. After only 1 bomb run the CFC had managed to take out 200+ Sentry ships and logistic’s from Provi-Block, (25b isk) effectively wiping them off field for the evening.

As the stragglers of Provi-Block’s main sentry fleet warped off, their T3 Bc fleet warped onto field and began sniping the Insidious Empire fleet. Black legion seeing their temporary allies precarious position decided to execute order 66 and began to target the t3 Bc’s of Provi-Block. After seeing their friends turn on them the Provi-Block T3 Bc fleet warped off field and Black legion quickly got back to popping PL support ships.

The non-bombing CFC forces landed on grid and began executing any stragglers they saw, while Solar fleet continued to decimate the Unthinkable forces on grid. After continued brawling with each side loosing roughly the same, New Provi-Block members Rooks and Kings showed up and much to the surprise of everyone, did not pipebomb for once. Instead they did a normal bombing run, which caused a few casualties to the Pandemic legion and Insidious Empire forces.

After a few more minutes of skirmishing the Provi-Block T3 Bc fleet warped back on grid and began to snipe from afar (this time far away from Black legion.) Black legion and Solar Fleet swapped their focus to the Nulli Secunda Ishtar fleet that landed on grid and after a successful bombing run on their drones the Ishtars warped off, loosing a few of their brothers in arms in the process. The CFC bombers had restocked on bombs by this point and so warped back onto grid and launched a salvo of Shrapnel bombs at Solar fleet, taking out a few eagles and pods.

Upon seeing the Razor fleet in a precarious position, the Northern Coalition. bombers de-cloaked and manage to get the vast majority of Razor’s Talwar fleet caught in their fiery explosions. Of Sound Mind and Noir Mercenary Group proceeded to de-cloak and bomb off any stragglers from the Razor fleet. The majority of the CFC forces decided this was as good of time as any to leave and so off they went. Pandemic legion also decided to dis-engage as without their support ships the enemy Tengu’s were simply warping off grid before their missiles could impact. The Provi-Block T3 Bc fleet then warped back onto grid and Black legion again killed a few of them off before Provi-Block were forced to warp off. The Brawling kept going on with Insidious Empires’ strength beginning to wane as they were sandwiched between Black legion and Solar fleet, when Stainwagon bombers de-cloaked and launched bombs into the middle of the Insidious Empire fleet. They manage to grab a few kills and do some nice damage to the whole fleet while at it. As some of the CFC forces return to the field, Black legion decided they had enough for the evening and began heading home.

The Nulli Secunda fleet then managed to get a good warp in on the Solar fleet and quickly removed their Scimitar’s off field. The Solar fleet now logi-less decided to make a hasty retreat home. The Nulli secunda fleet now alone with the CFC forces began to engage when their last remaining set of sentry’s got bombed off field and so they were forced to dis-engage and head home. Left alone on the field the CFC forces began to kill off any stragglers they saw and loot the battlefield. A Provi-block frigate fleet warped in on them, in an attempt to salvage (literally) anything they could from this disastrous night. They found the CFC there and were forced off grid by the CFC forces. The CFC forces warped off field and head home after a few minutes of looting, Cargo holds and killboards full. The Provi-Block Frigate fleet warped back onto field a few minutes later and began looting, when a reshipped Insidious Empire Brutix fleet engaged them, killing every last frigate.

Provi-Block responded by forming a Sentry Bc/Bs fleet and engaged the Insidious Empire forces. After brawling it out with Insidious Empire for a few minutes the Provi-Block fleet attempted to save any ships remaining but they were quickly surrounded by bubbles and put out of their misery. Left alone on the battlefield Insidious Empire began looting and Salvaging anything left. Provi-Block warped in some bombers and took out a few Insidious Empire Brutix’s forcing Insidious Empire off field.

Overall a fun night for all but certainly a loss for Provi-Block. Unlike the ERVK-P fight that happened a few weeks back, this fight was over a key system in Providence. Unable to defend this key system one can only wonder how they are planning to change their strategies to secure victory. Or will CVA go into high sec until their attackers get bored and then come back to reclaim their homeland as they have done before?

I believe they only continue to exist for reasons of shooting fish in a barrel for other alliances and that no one really wants that space.

I do also recall CVI losing space to -A- a number of years ago. Are you talking total time controlling space or since they got it back?

How many stations and therefor how much HP would need to be chewed through to take provi? Throw into that the fact the region is terrible and there is your reason for the long life.

But without either of those reasons listed above, the main one is they bring fights, why would anyone kill off a entity they know they can get good small scale low risk fights from? provi at the minute is the only interesting thing happening in nullsec.

I wonder if provi-block might drop their obsession with a stupid Sentry-drone doctrine, which is unpopular with provi line-members and seems to just die to bombers over and over again.
It saddens me to see my old alliance get welped all the time, however poor old provi-block doesn’t have a chance when virtially every alliance in nullsec is attacking Providence because their to risk adverse to attack each other.
Once Providence is conquered, the blue donut is complete and null-sec will be far worse for it.

Well the sentry doctine isn’t that bad against bombs as long as we don’t sit there and try to take a 4-5 wave bombrun. Also we’re just too bad at pvp to effectively fly a non-sentry doctrine because people would fail to follow primaries. And we keep the sentry doctrine cheap (vexors/prophs) so we can die over and over.

I personally wouldn’t mind seeing the sentry doctrine die, even if it means we’re even worse than we are now

If you purged ever idiot found to be fitting sebos to their ships on ops (there are lots) provi would suddenly become much better at pvp.

Ur an idiot if ur thinking like that, ur not the pvper then if u don’t see the good purpose of the sentrie docktrine. U can join that faggot right above u with that shitty whining ass that got buthurtted so many times with our not expencive but so much effective sentries doctrine. The best thing that could happen is just THAT. Have u noticed how everyone else started slowly getting the drone ships like ishtars to fight against our sentries doctrine? Pay more attentrion to it or go and leave provi if u don’t like it. Provi guys will never leave and will fight over and over and over again 100 times if it means to defende the provi just like we always do.

          4. Swamp Donkey

There’s no need for fleets of Ishtars when a dozen bombers will usually do the trick
Still, your smacktalk amuses me. if provibears and miners could PvP as well as they smacktalk, then perhaps Providence wouldn’t keep getting picked on all the time.

Create a coalition level group and then it becomes as alliance is now and an even larger non recognized group forms. Alliances already operate as corporations were intended and coalitions as alliances.

Been playing eve for years most of it PVP alliances and i can say that the fight for 9uy over a week period was the most fun pvp i have had. Partly because it was so fast paced, none of this stupid camping for hours crap. Within a span of four hours we had 1600 ships , 3 or 4 different sides all swarming around blowing each other up, pure chaos.

Thank you PROVIBLOCK and all the PL pets and 3rd parties for bringing it. sure cva is old and has many enemies but with fights like this they have plenty of luv too. hats off to all of the FCs who make things happen win or lose! oh…where was sound mind? all i saw was ali aras hiding in a station …. did all those parties attack proviblock for some white knighting? didnt PL learn its lesson with mintchiplol? or was this just for fun fights? i mean ali aras and her gang sound pretty bitter about all this, they need to lighten up.
