Yesterday we showed a video in which the new warp speed were showcased for the frigates, today Bam Stroker (awesome username) posted a video which shows a side by side comparison on both the current and the new warp acceleration mechanics and let me tell you the results are a total eye opener of what’s to come for Rubicon.

Check the video here.

I have a feeling at 10% Tidi it will be just like the video but 10x slower :)

First off, bam stroker, great name, next i’m so glad i trained ceptors 5 the other week, ratting anything is gonna be fucked.

Que hoards of roaming ceptor gangs through nullsec and page after page of nullbear tears on the eveo forums.

    Love it.

People who complain carebears have too much time to react to neuts in local/gather free instant intel and therefore want it removed? I believe your argument is now invalid :)

Training interceptors on my main now.

Crap!! You are making me realize, this change is a nerf to the “remove local” requests we often see on the forums.

Ha, loving this. also, light dicters warp faster as well. Are we gonna see more Inertia stabbed carebears? probably. Is it gonna make a difference when when light tackle warp that god damn quick? hell. no.

Love this change. Forcing people who don’t want to fight to pew pew 2003.

        > Implying anyone in their right mind, even an isk crazed carebear, would fit warp stabs.

Nobody will fit warp stabs unless it is a hauler, their range/scanres nerf are too severe for a carebear to fit even one.

          “…Inertia stabs…”

the only drawback is that they increase sig radius. And yes. I do believe that we’ll see carebears fit them, as well as nanos, on their multi-billion ISK ratting battleship. And hell, mayabe warp stabs as well. Drone boats tend to not really need lock range or any locks at all really. That or they’ll actually fit them like a PVP ship and kill the tackle before they warp off, but that’s gonna be a 1:1000000 occurrence.

You go ahead and try to plink an interceptor in a battleship, even if it is “PVP” fit.

            Oh istabs, my bad.

Yea istabs maybe, but they’re effect is fairly minor given the loss of DPS/application.

Unlikely, carebears got a mining barge buff and they STILL fly untanked fits and get ganked.
Can’t fix stupid unfortunately. Or poor reading comprehension haha

Are they improving the align time on the cepters also? Not only does it warp faster, the left side is clearly getting into warp earlier, and leaving grid before the right side.

I’m pretty sure that every aspect of the warp is getting faster depending on the ship.. takes a lot less time to enter warp.. get to max warp speed.. and exit warp as well.

IIRC, align times won’t be affected. And as far as I can tell from the scraps of speed panel in the video, in both cases warp itself starts more or less at the same time. It’s the acceleration when already in warp that is drastically different and makes the left one leave grid earlier than the right one, which is still speeding up in-warp.

what ccp said is that the align time will NOT be affected, only the acceleration from the point your warp starts

Excellent imo, belt/anom killers still have to scan their targets. Ratters best be aligned and on the game or die.

This is exactly what this game needs. Everything in this game takes too god fucking damn long to do anything and the pvp aspect every raves about happens in 3 god damn minutes. Nothing like waiting/staging for 5 hours to have a whopping 5 minutes of action.

I can think of many other ways to make this game much more interesting. Will not post though.

If they put this the game will be messed a lot , carebears will suffer less , the big ally will suffer more when anywone with a 1 month alt can virtually jump in any system even if is bubled ( since it is nullified) and open cyno for hotdrop / counterdrop lolol have fun

Oh the tears…the tears…coming from interceptor pilots :))).
Imagine a nicely placed BS full of smartbombs beside the gate …ofc cloacked so the scout can go ahead an give the go…then when you have them on the scanner,de-cloack and pop an entire fleet of ceptors :)))) mwahaahhahaha.
