Even after the majority of The Dinner Squadron has moved out of the region, since the collapse of the coalition, The Initiative still remains to defend what assets they have against the advancing Russian forces comprised of Against ALL Authorities and Darkness of Despair.

Today marked one of these defences, of an R64 neo tower owned by INIT in the system of V1V-6F, NPC Stain. The details of this battle are explained below from each side of the conflict, with the outcome shown here.

Dark shines, INIT FC had posted this report here on kugu:

Another quick Skirmish in Stain – Rusrus have been reffing Init R64s in stain over the last few days. Vlade Randal, quite confident that nothing could possibly go wrong, dropped a handful of Dreads, Carriers and a mish mash of Sub Caps on a Init Tower in V1V-6f.

They cynoed in 3 minutes before the POS was due to exit reinforced. We quick formed bombers due to low numbers and cynoed in 500,000KM away from the 15 or so -A- dudes. Warping in on 20 we killed off most of their support pretty quickly, pointing Carriers and Dreads as best we could. Drones from the carriers killed quite a few Bombers, including myself….twice….derp. We focused a Rev that had entered siege and got him to low armor before he exited Siege to be repped by Vlade who had entered Triage.

We swapped to the Triage but couldn’t really break the tank. We tried regardless and soon a Hostile Cyno went up and the DD Chimera Fleet jumped in. We waited until they started warping and then warped up to the Cyno, killing Vlade’s Rapier and tackling the Chimera that was left to rep it. We primaried the Chimera as it was the only carrier left on the ping, spamming like a mad man on my point until i realised he was in Triage. Figuring it was another waste of time since we couldn’t break the Archon earlier we stayed on him trying to force the rest of the Chimeras to warp back to him. Strangely enough he started dropping like a sack of shit and wasn’t boosting. The Chimera Fleet landed but couldn’t rep him and 30 seconds later he died. Pro Triage Fit Mate.

We brought our blops in and got back to TG-, seeing no sub cap fleet formed for DD but 25 Capitals still shooting the pos we reformed, with better numbers, into a Rokh Fleet. We cynoed back on them at 30 and started going to town on Vlades Archon. Buddy list suddenly light up like a christmas tree as Hostile Supers and Titans logged in, along with Subs mass undocking from C9n Station to come save their Capitals. The Majority of Chimeras had jumped out just before our cyno was lit But there were still several dreads and carriers in our bubbles. We worked through them and any brave sub caps that warped in one by one to die on our sharpened BBQ sticks. Four more dead capitals later another hostile cyno went up 200km off us, our dictors warping and bubbling their Sub cap fleet as we tried to kill 1 more Dread. We herpderped abit and as the bubble popped on the dread he jumped out, in low armor.

We scattered off pos and went safe, burning to a Titan a few jumps out and Cynoing home.

GF -A- & Co.

Wylnann of -A- had this to say:

It started with a small capital group of which Dafarr Maul was FC, leaving from c9n to shoot down some init r64 tower. primary, we formed together with dd, but dd moved with their fleet an other direction. I think 10 caps, with an even number of support from a left direction v1v and started shooting the init pos. INIT came in with a small bomber group, trying to bomb the caps but not very successfully.

Whole cap fleet waited for incoming supercapblob, but instead, init brought in a rokhfleet. We had a short chaos, but after 2 minutes, dd canceled whatever they did and a rokhfleet was formed. We undocked with about 150 though unfortunately we had to take a midwaycyno, otherwise more caps would have probably lived. The support fleet jumped in and init moved out quickly. We’ve been able to tackle some slow init pilots, but not as much as we wanted.

Anyway, the pos was killed, mission accomplished. All in all, you can say we’ve been caught by surprise that init still fields so many ppl after they are going to leave and we did hold the field and place our own new tower.

The conclusion of the engagement is this mail, which marks the eventual loss of the field to the Russians even though they put up a valiant defence and managed to score a selection of 2 dreadnaught and 3 carrier kills for the trouble.

With INIT slowly losing ground to the Russians i wonder how long it will be until they fall before the onslaught.

All you have to do is tell Vlade Randal you want to set him up with a girl he would have given you the capitals for free.

You’re forgetting insurance payouts on dreads is a p.decent percentage. Taking your example of pure ship losses, the CFC would take a few years of Fountain moon income to pay back all of their losses, yet honestly they will have their SRP fund at or above its old level within 2 months… Or tomorrow if anyone in the game begins to trust them enough to rent from them.

        Obligatory -A- is still shit.

          Yea, in name only though.
They play dead whenever their space gets taken, then they retake it later. While they may be the oldest alliance, they still lose their space fairly often.

We’ll see if they retake N3 space or not.

I really don´t like it when ppl call new ³A “shit”. They gave us many “gutfights” in the past and don´t deserve that. But one is for sure: since -a- lost catch and went to Stain the last time, with most of the good players moving to DoD (or PL) it´s DoD who is the new Landlord in the Area, Not ³A.

Many new Players joined ³a. You need to prove that you deserve your Name and that you´re not just a Shadow from Darkness.

I guess you guys will have the chance soon. At least you have the better allies ;)

So long, and thanks for all the Fish

don´t confuse this -A- with the alliance which got booted out one year ago. -A-´s core players moved on to PL. or other places (DoD and such). This -A- has not much more in comon with the old -A- than its name.

well, init isn’t the typical sov holding alliance. their goal is it to get some nice fights. maybe they aren’t as strong as many other entities, but they can be a pain in the ass. taking catch and moons in stain from them still can be hurtful for anyone even in a time init has its eyes on another goal.

and when it comes to -a- (and in some way the russian player community) i admit their spirit to stand up every time they got beaten. there aren’t many alliances out there which can state the same. such spirit should be honored and rewarded.

During the first Reconquista INIT were T1 fit and died like insects under the boot. Now they’re in T2 fit and die a little slower.

But unfortunately, both then and now, the same problem – the wrong choice side. INIT throw for the second time. I was even a little bit sorry for them. Choose the right friends.

As for battle – she obviously does not pull on Br evenesw24 …. Amymuffmuff lovin wrong side …

So INIT. should have sided with the russians after the HBCs collapse? They were in it for the fights, which you guys gave them. I guess they hoped for a higher participation of their TDS allies. But even with INIT. bringing 80-90% of the pilots to TDS fleets some nice fights were had.

What would have been the alternative? INIT. joining -DD- and the rests of -A- and stomping the carebear infested south in a sov grindfest?

Everyone was a winner here (well except the carebear parts of TDS of course), the russians because this conflict gave them the possibility to reorganize, which they did very well. And Init. did have it´s GFs.

      Props to both sides.

Lets face it, while -A- used to be able to bounce back pretty good, this isn’t one of those times. The majority of the “good” -A- is now in -DD- who are good. Alliances like C0ven and -A- are just shadows of what they used to be, without -DD- (Gypsies i still love you) they wouldn’t get anywhere.

To the above comments, no we don’t expect to hold Stain, hence our announcement last week. But if people think they can Siege shit with 3 dreads and minimal support, well you’re sadly mistaken :)

-A- and DD would never accept INIT. as they dont forgive bandwagon alliances. Every time south was invaded INIT was one of the first to join the bandwagon, showing the lack of balls.

Wasn’t INIT blue to -A- the last time? Lets face it, in the fights we have have down “lack of balls” has never been an Initiative issue.

What I always find funny is the shitposters on these forums. Posters who are not even involved in the conflict calling out either Init. or our opponents.

Init. has always respected -A-, C0ven and DoD and what I can see from opponents posting the respect is mutual.

Even when in the HBC it was PL and Test shouting -A- was shit. Never Init. because Init. knew their qualities and how dangerous they were which was proven often again.

Tribe and Test didn’t think they were dangerous and lost an extremely large amount of battleships when trying to capture the Stain moons. Init. was more prepared.

For me, -A- stands for “-A-ristocracy”
Even if its not the powerhouse it used to be, its good their name is present on the map, as a reminder of good old times when warriors were rulers and carebears followed their commands.
Time for -A- now, to dance on TRIBE and TEST graves.
