bridge

Embarrassment reigns as Goons offer a bridge for a defeated Test fleet, reports of some TEST who self destructed rather than have the egg on their face.

“The quick and the dead” pretty much posted on Kugu what happened:

It was vily’s mega fleet versus canaris’ ahacs and prophecies on PNQY station as it came out of shield reinforce. The two n3st fleets cyno’ed in, bounced to a spot above station, then warped to 0 on the mega’s. Vily warped to a bounce on-grid as n3st landed when suddenly THE BOATMAN and his bombers decloaked…only they had been dragged into n3st’s late bubble and we’re now bombing ahacs at 0. rip

Vily warped us back to station, 60-70km’s above the ahac fleet as the prophecy fleet bounced and warped on top of us. We had a proper brawl here, with the mega’s trying to pull range as they volleyed prophecies. This part of the fight is a bit fuzzy for me because I was constantly bouncing in my web loki trying to drop jams. (FUCK ALL ECM FOREVER ONLY 12 KILLMAILS) I know we kept pulling range and I think we managed to kite out their sentries while damping the drone assist as it turned one sided pretty quick. BL dropped blap dreads at the very end of the fight and we killed a lot of stragglers as they panic warped so it really wasn’t as one-sided as the killboards show. We chased and killed a few stragglers through the R3W-RP2-PNQY circle. The survivors ended up back in a pos. Vily then struck a deal with Canaris to bridge the remaining n3st home. Goons are very bitter about this olive branch.

Here is the latest kills for PNQY:

Unfortunately, without drastic changes TEST will lose fountain and maybe delve .

Was still a hostile takeover. Its a technicality but true, Fountain won’t be “record time” but it won’t be a slow grind.

Ncdot/PL/N3 retake of a few regions in a matter of a less than a day. That’s a record wich cfc will never brake even though they are twice if not more there size.

Never has to. CFC is not that stupid to let incompetent people run their renting empire 😉 Your ‘achievement’ only proves N3/PL/NCdot’s incompetence …

Also it’s not ‘retake’ it’s simply ‘take’, never went through a reinforced cycle … just a matter of planting TCU’s and killing a bunch of inert structures (other people’s TCU) … really fail to see the accomplishment here …

The accomplishment is having 2 separate fleets flipping stations from full to 0 in 8 minutes and killing multiple hostile tcu in a lot of the systems without letting any online. Even if you don’t count that, in the time it took you to take 20 systems in fountain we took 40+ and 10 stations.

            July 24, 2013 at 5:24 pm
          2. LOL

But it’s still shooting inert structures, right? I mean … no fight, no timers, no nada, right? We actually fought for the 20 systems we TOOK (se … we are allowed to use that term as it involved a greater effort from our end to get them than shooting structures or simply erecting …. structures).

If I remember correctly you already lost 2 regions to us CFC (Tribute & Vale), about to loose Fountain and who knows perhaps Querious as well. (Now we can argue all day that Fountain it’s not technically yours but still … you are defending it, right?) Or … this does not count as an accomplishment … ?

You didn’t fight for jack shit when you’ve taken 20 systems
In fountain. You significantly out blobbed your opponents.
Nest (tip my hat off to you) decided instead of being like a goon and blue balling because they have equal or significantly more numbers, lets see what we can do, let’s see what carnage we can create, let’s have fun regardless.
This is one of many differences between the two, wich is why many level headed observers respect the heart Nest show regardless of the Persian blobs numbers.

I respect the hell out of the fight N3’s been putting up. It’s a lot harder to respect TEST’s performance when they’re the ones setting the timers, and they’re the ones only marginally showing up. If this is their strong TZ, then where are their numbers? Where’s the will to fight?

And when I say I don’t respect TEST, don’t get me wrong, I mean the higher-ups. Hearing the internal bullshit they’re pulling against their own, now, it just deepens that lack of respect. Your average line grunt for TEST is no different than the rest of us line grunts – he’ll fight until his heart breaks if you give him reason, if you give him the means. Who’s failing to motivate the troops? Who’s delivering shit SotAs that sound like nobody’s bothered to think about their words in advance, or bothered to do even a marginal level of research or composition? Who decided early on to throw faction battleships into a meatgrinder without having the long-term financial wherewithal to keep their SRP afloat?

So yeah, I’ll respect N3. But don’t go talking about respecting N3ST – the ass-end of the team hasn’t earned it.

Solar Fleet: 2042 Solar Wing: 1149 total: 3191
And then you can factor in that all of the timers were in their prime time and not ours so no it wasn’t the “entire N3 Coalition + PL” it was us and PL. Get your facts straight.

Well what do you think will happen. Ncdot/PL deployed Engadget with alliance tourne in PLs case and for both the retake of East from solar rats.
Goons like they do thrive when outnumbering their opponents significantly but dwindle and get raped when things are more or less even.
So the loss of sov for Test comes of no surprise since cfc would of had to have done absolutely everything wrong to not have taken sov with the odds they have.
I tip my hat to mittens not because he’s good for the game or good for the future of eve online, it’s quite the contrary there, but mittens did well to buy
/ minipulate the greedy into aligning them selves with cfc who already is the biggest blob more or less anyway. BL . And solar being bought are but of examples of this.

While cfc are rich and are united, even though they are retarded it will be almost impossible to defeat them until there’s a unified coalition on the same wave length to finally put them in the place.
Fountain should be that calling card, but too much has already gone wrong.
CFCs jump bridge network has not been disrupted, there northern. Orders have not been disrupted apart from a meager amount in venal. This allows the whole herd of special needs carebears to blob as they are doing now. A single focused blob shit that is able to overwhelm the more skilled. This is what has been done wrong.
If cfc started losing needed space in the north and income and Nest/PL/Ncdot could hold fountain and start to grind it back. Cfc player base would start to dip in low morale, and eventually cfc would need to have a for e try to hold the north. This is where cfc is weak when they are not a single blob.

This is exactly the “Logic” that has cost so many of Test’s friends so much in the past. You cannot break Goon morale by giving them shit to do.

You morons are going to have to break the cycle of bullshit before you finally understand how to beat them.
As long as you keep telling yourself that the very alliance who kills far more than every other group, consistently month after month, just wants a “big blue doughnut”, you are doomed to keep getting your ass handed to you.

Black Legion has finally figured out the game. When they are not earning some tasty ISK to kill you, they are roosters. They wait for their target to be otherwise engaged, then they attack, spurring the shit out of your ankles and zipping away before you can turn around and respond. It serves the purpose of getting some nice kills AND denying the victim an enjoyable fight.

This is, by the way, exactly what Solar should be doing to N3. If Solar simply makes N3’s space unrentable, N3 will fold.

Forget Test. They are finished. The entire Eve community now knows what the Goons already knew. Test is filled with a bunch of moody little girls who won’t even fight for their own space if they feel like they are loosing. Any of Test’s allies who are not taking this opportunity to take Test’s moons are stupid. Soon all of Test shiny things will belong to someone else. Why not you?

Wow, you’re kind of a faggot.

TEST’s major error of the war was not making more of a major push to retake 4-EP and J5A before they rolled into Sov3, which allowed Goons to establish a beachhead deep in Fountain. Had we placed more of a priority on retaking (or at least resetting) those systems, then we probably would have been able to hold off Goons for longer than we did.

And while we concede that because of that strategic blunder we’re probably going to lose Fountain, that doesn’t mean we’re not still fighting for the major parts of it and getting what fights we can. And it doesn’t mean that we’re “dead.” Anyone that thinks that is welcome to come poke at us and find out just how “dead” we are.

Right now, we’re waiting on our leadership for our next move. Depending on if Goons decide to come after Delve, we may defend it, or they may let us stay there. Some of us have realized that “not having enough numbers to challenge sov warfare” translates wonderfully into “We’ve got a pretty good size small gang let’s go fuck with the alliances in Aridia.” If we don’t keep Delve, we can always go and help our PL/S2N bros kick Solar in the nuts.

Even though TEST may lose Fountain, you’re a goddamn fool if you think TEST is dead.

And to Vily, thanks for the bridge. Tip of the hat.

TEST’s blunder was backstabbing Goonswarm in the first place.

The same goes for solar, if they were not greedy stubborn fucks they could have invaded and again… Earned far more isk than they will here and now. Plus this would have been the end of cfc cancer and the rich picking in the north would be for many new and old alliances.

Actually, even after 4-EP had a jump bridge, the reinforcement of several JBs and cyno beacons in Pure Blind, Fade, and Cloud Ring would have seriously hurt Goon logistics and made it hard for them to get the amount of ships and mods to 4-EP to be able to push further or for that matter hold 4-EP itself.

You are not fighting for major parts of anything. Every battle report shows a handful of Test and a much larger number of Nulli and friends.

And for the record, you are, in fact, dead as an alliance. As I write this, there are several discussions going on and offers being made to carve you up between your benefactors.

You are about to become a lot smaller, and any corp left under the Test alliance banner will be nothing but ratters and farmers.

As for the guys who suicided rather than take the ’embarrassment’… uhm… a bunch of the N3ST fleet were doing the suicide timer version of Russian Roulette while they waited. People in both fleets were. The two or three guys who blew up happened well in advance of the titan entering system.

On other news, NCdot will soon be Querious’sless if CFC want’s that region. Don’t bet your money on them, they lost a few regions to CFC before, why is this time any different?

Yea they will start their 6 week grind all over again and for some reason you think we don’t expect it. We reversed everything they did and more in a week. For some reason you also think that we don’t know fountain will most likely fall but that isn’t going to stop us from trying and slowing you down.

Bombers took Centaur & Pegasus constelations

but sure Supers makes it faster

But i have a question for you.

What do you think happens when NC goes back to fountain?
will Solar magicaly quit hitting your home front? NO

lets face it your fighting a two front war. if you deploy to fountain your home is harrassed and Fountain fall slower

if you don’t deploy to fountain it will be rolled up in a few weeks

Its a lose lose situation the only thing N3 & PL is getting from deploying to Fountain is fights…. (or lack of them if CFC goes back to bombers and structure grinding)

Dunno, reading that less than excited NC. update, I wouldn’t be so sure your line members or alliance leadership are all that excited about supporting TEST. Reading between the lines, it looked more like “Start winning on your own and we might send a few bros to help out, otherwise we’re gonna sit on our fat renter empire and make ISK.”

I won’t be terribly surprised if we don’t see large N3 numbers… well ever again in Fountain. I could be wrong, but it seems like their raging hardon for Goons has been replaced by a more sober realization that owning lots of space that some Russians think is theirs means you get to constantly fight for it.

Archibald Hornby, an NCdot/N3 FC spent a couple hours last night forming up/standing down and sitting on a titan in their staging system. I dont know if any fleet ever left Karan. Seems like the wind is leaving N3 sails as well.

What a contrast from the TMC article. One ridiculous sentence by the author about the battle supported only by a random (and poorly written) BR copied from kugu mentioning a sweeping bitterness quickly refuted in the comments section.

I’d gladly wait 10 more minutes for an article to appear so that it can be properly written with maybe a paragraph of interesting information. This is like hearing about something from a spastic teenager that’s legitimately interesting, but you just want the kid to go away so you can go find out what really happened.

Before the fountain war, ROGUE was blue to RZR (and possibly SMA but I’m not sure on that one), but neutral to the rest of the CFC. Having a common enemy, N3, they came to help in fountain and are now temp blue with all of CFC, but are not a CFC member.

Rogue is NOT blue to cfc, as a member of the cfc we have taking small fleets into their space just to mess with them. They are Neutral to us.

I don’t think goons are as bitter as this post makes it out to be. Some sure, but this post gives off the impression that most, or all goons are pissed about this and that’s not accurate; at all.

Our job was done and so was Test’s. It was late and who the hell wants to hell camp a pos of like 30 dudes? Most of the fleet wanted to leave, we couldn’t just packup and leave Test there, so it was decided (and a good one at that) that Vily would bridge the enemy home. Not only did it allow everyone to go home, but also allowed those dudes to reship and come back after DT.

This isn’t the first time the victor of a battle bridged the losing enemy a ride home. And I for one hope the same curiosity happens to the next fleet I’m in that loses -it’s inevitable- especially if we’re 8+ jumps from home through very contested territory.

PS: The Test ships that self-destructed did so way before the Titan even got there. Most likely due to the belief that we were camping them.

None of us are bitter. I was in the fleet, we were laughing about it. The closest to ‘bitter’ we got was a sarcastic ‘oh, they get a ride home and we have to take gates?!?’ – but even that was joking. We were 4 jumps out – after taking the wrong gate. Bitter? No. Just tired as fuck.

This is just one more person stating the obvious. TEST failed its members horribly. Trying to fight the CFC and not attempting a form of diplomacy that could have merged the two has now allowed stronger alliances to become friendly with their members. Now TEST is full of internal spies. There are times to fight and there are times when it is in your best interest to avoid conflict at all cost. In this situation, TEST believed in others to save them, groups and alliances who really couldn’t care less about TEST or how it ends up. TEST could right now be in the CFC and building rather than hoping someone will provide them a new home. Wake up TEST. Swallow your pride and either evacuate or start a line of diplomacy with the CFC and GoonSwarm that will save yourself a lot more grief. I don’t think TEST is that smart though. I am betting that the leadership will allow butt-hurt members to lead them over the cliff. And that really is the bottom line, no one is leading.

Everyone in TEST is angry and the leadership which should have cool heads in this situation appear to be letting things take their own course because at this point to actually take bold steps and lead means butting heads with the most vocal angry TEST membership. A leader’s place is to take charge and lead. TEST needs new leadership or their leaders need to set ACHIEVABLE goals that will benefit their members long term. Fountain is lost, that is no longer an achievable goal for TEST. They took a shot at the CFC, that failed, now how do you plan to end this? The CFC can go on like this for years with the reserves they have. TEST can not.
