Wormhole warfare keeps proving a fertile ground for some of the most epic capital engagements, the lack of local and the assurance that an enemy cyno won’t loopside any fight with pesky super-capitals surely brings the best and the worst from w-space resident. Here is a write up from Aksu Dayyanum / DangerousoDavo, FC for Local Down in the J154733 fight.

During the day

Normal day in the hole scanning, a corpmate Nitrite went out roaming in dominix then came back after finding nothing, then he went AFK on a wormhole exit like a noob and got bumped 10km from the exit and attacked by legion and two proteus, he gets the legion to 10% armor when two guardians warp in and promptly dies.

At this point we had no clue what was going to happen later on in the day. We continue about our day to day things, scanning and stuff.

Few Hours Before the fight

I log in after I come back from work and a corp mate says that something’s happening in our WH a small gang is running about. We assumed they were roaming out of the null exit that spawned in a hole. the corp mate is cloaked on the exit to there hole in a sabre trying to bubble a tornado between warps but doesn’t get the opportunity.

After a couple of hours they don’t leave we start thinking this is weird. After another 2 people log in bringing us too 4 guys online we notice dscan picking up quite a few legions and lokis and some itty fives, at this point we think they must be escorting loot out or restocking stuff from somewhere in the chain. Not having the ships to fight off there gang (~2 guards 4 legions 3 lokis 2 proteus + assorted others) we just wait it out. a short while later and after seeing 2 itty fives an impel and other haulers I notice another tower and a forcefield on dscan and we all say wtf on comms I think we are being invaded. At this point we are looking for help, ideas, looking at the different in membership and people online we are resigned to defeat decided what ships to save in the carriers and log off in an attempt to save what we can and find a way out another day or find a way to bring a new POS in.

I have a friend (starfleetcommander) in VoC and saw he was online so I messaged him and asked for help and advice on the situation, he joined our comms and talked us through some things asking what we can field, and how help can get to us. However having zeo hole control this was proving difficult, we get word they are trying to collapse into us to send help and sleeper social club are doing the same there is a glimmer of hope. We send word out to all corp mates via facebook/mobile etc to login and help defend or get safe. We get 6 people online.

Below is a dscan a while before the fight.

The Fight

One Revelation and one Moros warped to our pos as someone says in local “I am the corp negotiator”, they siege and start killing the anchored energy neuts and other things (I was struggling to online them due to powergrid and not knowing what to offline and getting in a flap) we do what we can to hurt the dreads with a couple of POS gunners controlling some medium arty bats. During this we are figuring out exactly what we have and after consulting with starfleetcommander we start to believe we can take the fight, risk everything in an all or nothing fight. After we login four moros, two lokis, two archon and a bhaalgorn the hostile dreads come out of siege and start to align, seeing this we assume control of a POS warp disruption battery and point the revelation, this keeps the caps on the field, we warp our caps to another POS we have and align back to the besieged POS.

Following advice, we warp two archons at zero on the enemy dreads along with two lokis, this helps the lokis stay under the dreads guns and warp two moros at 10km and the other at 20km. We immediately work on the Moros trying to get him down fast, he starts melting. Just as the moros is dieing a Tech 3 fleet with guardian support and two anti-support bhaalgorns land on us. It is on, targets are being called, we make short work of the moros and start on the Revelation, he is about half armor by the time we get locks on the bhaalgorns with the dreads. We switch targets to blap the two bhaalgorns and they die fast with the combined webbing and painting power of the lokis (6 webs, 4 painters). After the Bhaalgorns go down we finish off the Revelation and start targeting guardians to break their logistics chain. Using the Bhaalgorn, I put 2 heavy neuts on each guadian which stops the reps. The guardians begin to dry up on cap. Suddenly another bhaalgorn warps in accompanied by an Anchon. We switch to the third Bhaalgorn and kill him before taking out the recently arrived Archon. We snagged two guardians as the rest exited the grid.

The battle is won and the day is saved. They exit our hole and after calming down, salvaging and taking a needed break from the massive adrenaline rush everyone just had, backed into a corner by an experience wormhole corporation trying to ransom our POS for 30Billion ISK and risking our cap fleet fighting outnumbered, all multi boxing. I was personally quad boxing a pos gunner, Bhaalgorn, Moros and a leadership alt at the time while FCing the fight.

It was very intense, definitely the best moments I have experience in my entire EVE Online career.

After the fight gfs were exchanged in local and I think we gained some respect for putting up a fight. We were 6 guys (9 ships fielded) fighting outnumbered against an experienced opponent and we came out with a win. However we do received an eerie warning, they plan on returning better prepared next time and with help from other wormhole alliances to remove us. While the battle was won, the war is apparently not over, unsure as to our next step we can just put one proverbial foot in front of the other and continue making ISK and roaming into null sec from exits we find, looking forward to what the future brings.

few error's in the way they pointed a dread out of seige, since all the nuets on tower and scrams was in-cap'd long before they logged in the first moros yet alone the 4th, both dreads popped in siege, clearly the instruction's form their friends saved their ass's, though perhaps they should consider that a public thread as such has only excited the need for some ass kicking of our own

I'm pretty sure i was logged in, in my moros while you were pewing the POS. And the two dreads definitely left siege and the rev was pointed by myself using a POS battery on my pos gunner alt, the dreads re-entered siege as we warped back onto grid.

yes we likely wouldn't have done so well without the great advice but it was a great fight. Like I said it was the best fight i have ever fought in, never mind FC'ed. Great Fight.

the narwhals ransomed TLC for a amount of 20b without losses (on the narwhal side, not sos much on the tlc side) and within a matter of hours.
as usual they fail miserably without hiring pro help, to much lol

TLC hiring help? really when did the alliance hire help? narwhals ransom was cause we had no pilots in our system as most had not returned from another siege. so your either miss informed but asset risk v good wh control ment we was'nt getting additonal pilots in system for that narwhals fight, so paying was sensible.

wel i have seen that TLC did cry for help when NoHo was holding down the capitals and TLC was not able to do any damage to them.
so they called Verge of Collaps.

sure, paying was sensible, youre c6 would have been burned to the ground otherwise.

@DubbaYooarr : thank you for correcting my typo, but that still does not change the fact TLC
        is full of fail.

The Archon was an amusing kill, but they seemed to be reshipping from it, the ones that really made me giggle were the T1 fit Bhaalgorns

This never happens, and contrary to what some may thing PL did not ruin null-sec by exploiting the hell out of this strategy.
