The following battle report sums up pretty much what went on in the Stain region during the last week. It is written from a C0VEN perspective – so read up, enjoy the videos and feel free to add up in the comments.

Back in November, when we were still mostly fighting in Esoteria, Raiden. alliance launched a series of attacks on our high-end moon in T-8 (one of C0VEN’s home systems in Stain). After few unsuccessful attempts (like this one:, they finally managed to secure it on November 17th. As I mentioned before, we were a bit occupied at that point so we went with ol’good “we didn’t want that high-end anywayz” for a time being.

Reader should know that in the last few weeks, we strengthened ties and cooperation with our long time friends from BUFU, Desman Alliance and pwn-O-graphy, as well as made some new friends – ex-ROL alliances No value. and Enemy . Unknown. All that will prove instrumental in the following events.

In the meantime out future allies, Enemy . Unknown, lost one of their titans after DDing a Raiden. carrier that was repping the POS (

However, earlier this week, once we dealt with more pressing issues, we decided that enough is enough and started to attempt to regain what was ours (while getting good fights in the process). Raiden. was kind enough to time the POS for our mutual prime time (they being mostly UK TZ while we are mainly CE) so epic fights were bound to happen.

Day One: Sniper Nagas versus Zealots

Our first attempt on December 10th was, to put it in scientific terms, a major fuck up caused by a few personal mistakes, terrible choice of fleet setup, and very effective self-bubbling. We managed to swiftly lose about 6b in Tornados and Nagas (along with some pride). POS was repped and reinforced again (once victors left the field), setting up another battle for prime time on December 12th.

Day Two: AHACs versus Foxcats

But every cloud has a silver lining! This underperformance made our dear friends from Raiden. a bit overconfident. We, however, proceeded to fuck things up and failed at 1st grade math level and called the CTA 1 hour after POS came out of reinforced.

Raiden. had no problem of that sort and jumped in on time to camp us in station. However, that happened to be not so bad since we saw Raiden.’s setup (Navy Apocs with some T3 and triage carriers) and were able to adjust. Decision was made that No value and Enemy . Unknown, who were mostly already in space, will stick to LR Nagas while C0VEN, BUFU and PWN69 will fly get an Armor T3/AHAC fleet ready.

Raiden., not knowing about our timing fuck up and with morale boosted by their last victory, were merrily sitting on undock range with 5 triage carriers and about 35 Navy Apocs + some support. After A-Fucking-Forever™, we finally got everyone to log in and undocked with superior force, popped carriers but failed to bubble Apocs (who mostly managed to escape). While our AHAC’s were too tanky to get harmed, Raiden. managed to kill some Nagas when our No value and X-COM inc friends decided that sitting at 150km is for pussies and went in balls deep to use close range ammo. 😉 Also, due to all the time it took for us to undock, POS got repped once again before we managed to force Raiden. off the field. We obviously reinforced it once again (as well as bubbled it, trapping a titan inside to make sure that the next time they won’t pass without a major fight).

At that point it was 1-1 and both sides were obviously hungry for more good fights.

Day Three: AHACs versus Hellcats/Rokhs

POS was leaving reinforced at 18:56 ET (we checked 11 times 😛 ) so, after asking our friends for further assistance, we started to gather on a station. Sadly we had no intel on enemy setups until the very last moment so we stayed docked to keep our options open. At first we didn’t even know if the enemy would show up, but once we got reports about a fleet called “being dicks in the south”, we kinda knew that we are about to get blobbed. 😉 Still, up to about 18:50 we had no eyes on enemies other than a few Raiden. and TEST cynos in local.

Once POS came out of reinforced,  we got intel about 20+ Out of Sight. Tornados on their way to T-8 and saw Raiden. fleet ( 40+ Abaddons with Guardians and T3 support + about 70 people) jumping in and warping to the station. We had about 50 Nagas in space as well as 100 people docked up.

At that point we knew that TEST and PL were also coming (1st supers and carriers began to cyno in on the POS) but took a wild guess that they may not be 100% ready yet. FC ordered to jump into Armor T3/AHACs and 30 seconds later we were in space ready to brawl with Raiden.

Enemies were, however, more ready than we thought and a few seconds after our undock, TEST LR Rokh fleet cynoed in at optimal (40+ Rail Rokhs with another 40 tackers, logistics and battlecruisers, as well as a few scorpions). FC gave the order to not aggro but since we seemed to not get alphaed, we burn towards Raiden.’s BS fleet (we had to circle around station) while getting rid of tackle and few badly positioned Guardians. No value and Enemy . Unknown Nagas warped in a few seconds later and Raiden. ships started to pop quite quickly while our tank was more-or-less holding.

Our enemies seemed quite surprised by our undock and started calling for reinforcements. More and more carriers and motherships cynoed in on the POS but none of them showed up on grid yet. Out of Sight. were nowhere to be seen.

At this point our Armor fleet was pretty much on top of the Abaddons and TEST decided that they weren’t doing enough damage from the distance, so they switched to CR ammo and burned towards us. That quickly proved to be a good choice since our Zealots – target painted and webbed by numerous frigates – started to die one after another (those Vigils man… nerf plox). We weren’t idle either – almost all of Raiden.’s Guardians were dead so they decided to cut their losses and left the field leaving TEST Rokhs at 20-30 km away from us.

With Raiden. off the field, our ships pretty much stopped falling out of the sky while the TEST fleet got quickly bubbled, webbed and proceeded to die very, very quickly. They held the field for a few more minutes, burning away and clearing tackle. Finally, Out of Sight. showed up with 20 Tornados at 150-200km but at that point only 3 or 4 Rohks were left on field while others managed to warp out. They obviously weren’t able to do anything anymore and warped out after 1 or 2 shots.

While the fight was raging on, about 20 motherships and 40 slowcats got into the system but with most of the support fleet dead, they decided to not drop them on the grid. We obviously couldn’t field caps of our own to match those numbers so we decided to pass on attacking the POS yet again and stayed on the station waiting for carriers to show up there (which never happened) . Some people switched to a Noctis and we started to loot and salvage the field while writing “gf” in local and being at docking range.

We obviously got bored quite quickly and started to hunt those Tornadoes but were hardly successful and, after one of the attempts where we managed to bubble ourselves 200km from the POS and lost 2 Lokis to sentry drones for a price of 5 Tornados, we went back to the station.

On top of that, we got intel that the enemy was gathering another subcapital fleet (200 men, mostly Navy Apocs) to support their capitals so we called it a day.

Many thanks to BUFU, PWN69, Desman Alliance, Enemy . Unknown and No value, as well as our dear enemies from Raiden., TEST, PL and Out of Sight. for these wonderful evenings and epic fights. See you all in space soon!

All I know of Coven is that they only ever PvPed with neuts in stain cos they weren't good enough to join in any of the more important fights. As for the HBC getting a kicking from these nubs… well I look forward to whelping the HBC into the ground.

This is where you're wrong! They were good enough to join in "any of the more important fights", It's just that they were too good for that. After all, ganking people and doing missions in Stain is reserved only for the highest echelons of Eve elite!

What unfair fight? Looks to me like PL+pets pretty much won one fight but lost the other two, despite the numeric advantage.

As I said below (or above heh), won't be long before a cry goes out for help and PL starts hell camping another NPC station. Apparently that's hilarious and "gute fites".

Indeed – that POS is worth its volume in Technetium as a gf generator :)

Too bad this report is p. terrible and sometimes outright wrong (2nd battle was nothing like it). I wrote more detailed BR earlier, but then decided to not send it to EN24 and kept it for alliance use only, since we aren't big fans of chastbeating. Sadly one of our silly trolls decided to write this piece of wank :(

I guess I'll send that extended version and ask for an update.

PS. When it comes to that titan, they lost it few days before being blued by us if I'm not mistaken. Still something that should have been mentioned in text like that I guess.

Why didn't you include this complete fuckup in your three days of thunder report?

Your choice of ships against that fleet was one of the dumbest things I've seen for a long time, your support choice is idiotic, and the only thing that saved you from even more disgrace is the fact that you fought an even more moronic bunch – TRIBE.

I mean, if you lose to Tribal band, how bad can you be?

Actually, c0ven is not just Polish/Russian anymore, they merged with Romanian Legion which had Romanians and some english speaking dudes.

But the fact is, that c0ven are heroes. Fighting megapowers using tactics and outsmarting, it is a challenge that this game is offering. Of course very few people have the balls to accept such challenge, because being fag HBC member is so much easier.

I wish c0ve recaptures Esoteria one day, they deserved it back in 2009, they will deserve it again… unlike fags like INIT who gain space by switching sides.
