So, I heard someone asking for reports on things that didn’t happen in Delve/Querious.  After some digging through piles of Delve-related propoganda and random battles over the last few days, I found something.

J160311 is a C2 worm hole.  No effects.  Fairly boring as far as worm holes go.  Until a hundred people showed up in the system to crush the inhabitants, leading to two fleets going toe to toe and the death of around 20b isk worth of ships.

One side (Elesium Empire, Exhale, and SRS – hereafter referred to as team EES) brought geddons, baddons, megas, domis, various Amarr navy ships, and a pile of Legions, all supported by a handful of guardians. The other side (Quixotic Hegemony and some friends) brought a bit of a kitchen sink fleet of three armor carriers, tengus, legions, proteii, a maelstrom and raven, falcons, drakes, armor canes, guardians, thrashers… you get the picture, a little bit of everything. Not only did they have a kitchen sink, but they also had fewer numbers. However, three carriers go a long way to balancing a fight like this.

Initially, the falcons were playing havoc with the EES fleet, and the carriers were easily able to keep armor tanked ships alive. EES began splitting fire as it became apparent that the carriers were on the ball, and basically threw them off their game. EES melted the other fleet quickly after that.

They were kind enough to provide a video of the slaughter:

  1. carriers, they go a LONG way in logi and extra DPS on target :)

Yes, they do for thirty seconds until they're concentrated by neuts en masse. After the engagement both sides agreed to a ceasefire, primarily because continuing wormhole invasions after Monday sucks when the siege started late Thursday. Gotta love how a WH-related thread got turned into "this is irrelevant to 0.0 srs bzns" in 30 seconds.

agreed. Before this battle we had to siege 2 towers, one for 8 hours. Without capital support, well defended poses are just bitch.

We worked hard to get this engagement 😛

That's right. Abandon your concern for KB stats, KB efficiency and who won or lost the isk war. All that really matters is that people brought a fight and had fun.

Goons only have a bomber wing in Delve so far. Everything that has been posted is mostly about PL, Test, Nulli, and -A-. With the exception of the Goon FW thing last week, we really haven't talked about Goons for quite a while. I think they've just been carebearing it up since Raiden left the north.

        1. It won't be long until Goons come pouring forth. I for one highly doubt that they've forgotten -A-'s last trip north… Besides, there ain't no other direction for them to go in.

    5. Maybe, one day, you will realize that there are places in EVE where PVP does not mean 'bring a minimum of 200 equally fit ships and alpha each target on grid until either you or the other side runs out of ships' .

The last 0.0 alliance who learned that lesson was erased from WH space only a few days after they announced that they will take it over, and they didn't even face the strongest wormhole PVP alliances. (even though Exhale is probaby up there in the top 5)

The video was actually not so interesting, but it sounds like everyone had a good time. Way to go Fly Reckless crew! Also kudos to the Exhale et al crew for the patience and strategy it must have taken to bring that big a fleet into a C2.

No one notices that SRS left the wormhole afterwards, despite winning the battle. We can assume then that when we were cta'd to assist these wormhole blues, we did our job in protecting them. We lost the fight, but we won the war.

Was a great weekend of pew. Best time I've had in EVE in a LONG time. Both sides had losses all weekend long, small engagements on holes leading up to that party at the end. Both sides did a great job all weekend. POS gunning for hours straight was a blast. Fleets for the finally were about the same size, numbers wise. There's was the superior fleet that day. You'll all hear about it on FlyReckless soon enough.

And I can say that even the guys that were totally wiped out felt like they came out on top, just from the fun that was had.

Thanks to everyone in SRS, QH, and RvB for making the weekend an unexpectedly adventurous one for all!

besides I keep hearing talk of how these BIG alliances have lots of low skilled pilots, but huge numbers and good FCs, Just because a group is smaller, doesn't make them scrubs.

Meh whatever, I like it all, just don't know why there are people that come and complain that every article on here isn't newsworthy or is about scrubs .. don't effing read it then .. geeZ.
