Hi Riverini,

The CFC uses 10mn AB Tengus (PL Fit), not 100mn AB Tengus.

He was also kind enough to submit the following videos depicting de carnage:

Alphafleet Perspective:

Cool stuff.

lol Well done CFC finally learnt how to fly Tengus, althoug garanteed 90% of them will be T1 fit with lv3 Subsystems.
At the same time though 1500+ blobs of Tengus & Meals is going to be impossible to counter unless NC. BL. PL. Evoke + more team up,all those noobs cannot be beat with just a couple of quality pvp alliances now.
    Sad day for Eve =(

Yes, because goons are all terrible at this game, can barely fly rifters, only PVE, control half the map, manipulate all the markets, don't have any supers, have half the supers in the game, don't have any isk, control all the technetium, are hated by CCP, and control CCP.

I'm going to have to invest in a tinfoil hat one of these days to understand the logic of the goon-tinfoil-hattery, because the tinfoil all seems contradictory.

Yes 95% of cfc is terrible, they usually speaking get raped against decent alliances unless they have more than 3 to 1 odds, that's been proven time an again, but what will never change is the fact that they have strength through numbers not quality of pilots. You can give a noob a 150mill sp pilot, but will not be able to take the noob out of the equation, you put that scrub up against a dude in PL. NC. BL. Etc with half the skill points an that scrub will get raped. This is generally speaking for the huge majority of cfc pilots.

No big surprise there, you're a Goon. Makes perfect sense to me, let me spell it out for you.

Who would win in a cruiser fight:
a 3 years deep player playing on a 2 month old character,
            or
a 2 months deep player playing on a 3 year old character?

If you chose the 2 months deep player I'm afraid it suggests that you don't have the first clue on how to actually fly any of your ships.

The 1 month old player playing on a 1 month old character.

            Oh, sorry. I stand corrected:

The one thousands 1 month old players playing one thousands 1 month old character.

What you ~elitepvp~ I'm-better-than-you-so-I-should-win fail to understand is that this is a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG. You pull out the Massively Multiplayer from the equation, requiring every pilot of yours to have 50M SP, a personal carrier and a couple jewing alts, and you will always be curbstomped by the thousand idiots steamrolling your elite skills.

You are too few to compete. This game is about massive numbers. Your (objectively superior) skills are no match for the real goal of the endgame: huge battles with huge numbers, filling the icelandic pockets.

A balanced cruiser fight may be something for the Alliance Tournament, but if you look for it in a (truly) MMORPG, then your analyst did a dirt poor job.

Goonswarm Leadership is not stupid. It has been several years now and their playerbase has enough 15-20 mil SP toons now to support running these kinds of fleets. They have used perma MWD drake fleets until their playerbase could use tengus. They used Alpha Canes until their playerbase could use Alpha Maels. Goonswarm is a very clever opponent. You can never underestimate what their leadership is cooking up. Their leadership are the chess masters, their FCs the Kings and Queens, their grunts the pawns.
It seems now their grunts are no longer the pawns, but the bishops and knights. Soon, we may see their entire fleets based around another more complex doctrine ( sentry carriers perhaps ) but they have shown an almost linear progression in terms of their fleet doctrines from my experience fighting them.

This thought pattern is the exact thought pattern that leads to defeat for those who fight goons. You're remembering the goons of 2007/2008 and not the goons of today. Sure back in the day Goons were noobs, and counted on noob fleet doctrines to win fights, but today Goons have just as many skillpoints at the core as any other alliance. What sets Goons apart though is the constant influx of noobie pilots to keep the lower mid-end sp pilots there for when the vets burnout. Alliances like NCdot/PL and the like slowly burn through the higher vet pilots and their fleets over the course of months/years shrink until the alliance die from lack of participation.

there are different ways to "win" this game. one is to have a very good leadership, dont dont piss off your grunts and your allys and let new players in. this way you are able to form big blobs and keep them motivated. this is what goons do.

goons let in lot of (highly motivated) noobs. they are the ones who login and form full fleets in 10minutes after a jabber ping. not the old bitter vets. i cant understand whats wrong in beeing a new player. why do ppl thinknew players are not worth to participate in what this game is all about: pvp ?

if alliances are whining that they are not able to form big blobs they should think about their social skills, their deplomatics and their attitude towards newer players. you should not blame anyone but yourselfes if you are too 1337 to have fun in this game.

Of course, Non-Invasive-Pact = Butt-buddies, like the non-GSF CFC alliances.

Right now there are the following groups:
        1: CFC (GSF and Pets)
        2: PL + Test
        3: Solar Fleet
        4: NC. + BL + Evoke
        5: AAA + ROL
6: S2N? (They might go with AAA though)
        7: Misc. New North-Eastern Alliances

Those are the big groups that you hear about a lot. Notice how PL and Test are crashing on Nulli's couch, yea, they can fight by themselves. They dont need 500 drakes to win, or tengus as the case may now be.

People talk as if flying a max skilled Tengu is hard. From 0 to sitting in a Tengu is 70ish days. From there to being decent is another 30 or so days. Since most people are not starting at 0 flying an ok Tengu with level 4 subs is probably a month or so at most. Organization is the hard part and Goons are nothing if not organized. Forming 5 full fleets and actually being able to use them effectively requires organization regardless of what people think of the CFC.

Indeed it was smart of Mittani to bring the other tech alliances together. It creates a mutual support network, it gives the appearance of not hoarding (all) the Tech, and they get to set the prices. If you are non-OTECH would you sell your tech at 50% or 25% of what they are asking? No cause you would makes less isk, so you set your price the same.

I find it tiresome to see so many Goonswarm entitled articles that should actualy be CFC. Goonswarm sure get a lot of praise for CFC actions, lets just look at the fleet comp of the above battle.

    Pilot Numbers :

    AlliancePilots%
    Fatal Ascension9234%
    Goonswarm Federation8130%

    Tengu breakdown.

    AlliancePilots%
    Goonswarm Federation2937%

FA, who get ragged on a lot, provided more people but Goonswarm clearly provided the most tengu pilots but still only a meagre 37% – i would have listed the other alliances but this chat box wouldnt post the message with them all.

When people realise that Goonswarm are nothing without the CFC and in turn the CFC is nothing without Goonswarm, it will be a glorious day in eve.

A drake costs like 80-90 million isk to fit and rig.
A Tengu costs like 600 million.

Goons are going to be careful with this fleet concept at first, because one 25 tengu reimbursments is one tech moon. An entire Tengu Fleet Whelped, that would be a heavy loss, plus the massive shitposting that would follow would cripple morale.

Goons have the combination of a leader that can motivate large numbers of players to follow their every command, and have the brains to think and take advantage of parts of the game.

Honestly if it was just Goons it would be fine and fun, its the supper-pubbie-swagger-shitposting-pets that piss me off.

Tengus are amazing ships, but considering that a single tengu loss is equal to 10 drake kills if not faction fitted, would it be a wise move to field in massive fleets where alpha is king?

But I suppose perhaps when you have a whole fleet of them you'll pretty much curbstomp the same number of lower class ships.

Cost doesn't really matter, to be frank. Especially when you're making tens of billions a month just from tech moons. And if the FW exploit is true, goons may have 100% SRP for them, so the ISK argument is kind of moot. The SP loss is also moot, as in one week, you can have your skills back up again to where they were.

It would matter in a long, drawn out conflict but goons can easily cover day-to-day tengu losses in eve's current climate.

Instead of posting 2 articles on how goons finally started flying tech 3's can you please try to find us some information on what is going on in the East and write an article about that?

Well if you Eve News would write about it you would know there is a major war going on over there between Solar and friends vs Nc./Evoke which all started with that nc. carrier welp that they also didn't post about.

What you lookin' at? You all a bunch of fuckin' assholes. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." So… what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There's a bad guy comin' through! Better get outta his way!
