To begin from the beginning and learn about RA’s move to Delve and the start of hostilities, you might consider reading Part 1.

In the following set of articles, I aim to outline the course of the conflicts in Delve over the last two months, and then offer my interpretation of the current conflict between Pandemic Legion, TEST and S2N (Nulli Secunda).

I have made every effort to write with a minimum of bias. Honest. *innocent face*.

Delve War Update: The D-FENCE holds its Ground – Grim outlook for Red Alliance

Despite a solid start with some early victories, Red Alliance find themselves gradually losing the war for Delve against Nulli due to Nulli’s more even timezone coverage, wider range of fleet comps and possibly FC ability. But RA has a far superior supercapital fleet which has so far been held in reserve. They have to choose between losing Delve but keeping the supers safe, or going all-in and deploying supers.

They didn’t have to choose, as it turned out.

Everyone’s favourite alliance comes knocking

Pandemic Legion, noticing the new conflict in what was becoming a relatively stable universe, deployed to KFIE in NPC Delve. KFIE is in range of both NOL-M9 (RA’s staging system) and C3N-3S (Nulli’s staging system) as well as most of Delve, allowing them to act as a third party. Which roughly translates as dropping Rokhs onto anyone loitering with intent. PL’s move to Delve was announced as being in the interests of gudfites, and presumably super kills. In Elise’s rhetoric, “to add spice to an otherwise dull dynamic”. They killed an RA Nyx and a 9 man Nulli dread fleet in fairly short order.

The Eastern Front Collapses

Thanks to intelligence assets, they were aware of the password to a POS used by RA for titan bridging. RA and Nulli were set for a showdown at the final timer of the HM-XR2 station. PL waited for RA to bridge their subcap fleet out of NOL-M9, then bridged in a tempest fleet and began bumping an RA titan. Two titans were bumped out and killed by a combination of neuting tempests and three suicide dreads. RA dropped a respectably sized super fleet in an attempt to save the titans, but were ultimately unsuccessful. Nulli had made the assumption they would have supers on standby for the HM-XR2 timer, but there was a noticeable lag between the titans coming under attack and the deployment of the super fleet. The cause for this is not known.

While the titans came under fire, Nulli and RA had been engaged in Alpha Maels and Abaddons respectively, as well as supporting bomber fleets on both sides. RA attempted to recall their subcap fleet from the battle which was still ongoing in HM-XR2 leading to heavy losses. Nulli had an additional proteus fleet on its maiden voyage which provided comprehensive heavy tackle, making RA unable to withdraw without loosing significant numbers of Abaddons.

In a single day, RA lost two titans and 5 carriers to PL as well as a station, 3 carriers and close to 100 abaddons to Nulli.

The effect on Red Alliance was dramatic. RA leadership ordered all supercapitals to log off and withdraw from Delve. With the presence of PL, using a supercapital fleet no longer seemed a possibility. That left them fighting a subcap war against Nulli, which they had until that point been gradually losing. Shortly after the HMX- catastrophe, RA leadership announced a withdrawal from Delve to Querious. Since RA and Nulli were, at least in theory, part of the same bloc the war terms (which you may remember from part 1) included the loser being permitted to keep certain areas of space. Nulli, having recently expanded into Romanian Legions space and with a leadership very aware of the effect shooting large structures which don’t shoot back for long periods of time has on an alliance upheld the terms. At a very leisurely and unhurried pace, they began the process of taking back the sov which had been transferred to RA in the initial deal.

But with the removal of RA, PL were no longer a third party – they were direct opponents. So begins a war much more fiercely fought.. Amusingly, both sides could accurately claim to be the underdog.

So, here we are another cliffhanger until I publish part 3 of what promises to be one of the most intense wars of 2012.

First link is all the current NATO members. So basically we have north-america and europe.
Second link is the world map with the respective militairy budgets.
Last link shows you the world population.
Now, let's see. USA and Europe make up for about 70% of the entire militairy budget worldwide. China is 100b+ but no real statistics known about that. China says…sounds like the old USSR with their 5-year plans…right before the collapsed and all statistics turned out to be false.
So, world population wise it is spread a bit more even. But let's just say south ameria and africa declare war on europe. I don't think we have to discuss the outcome do we?
Now, to link this all back to your reply. Oh wow, 90% of the people in the world who matter are also allies in real life! OH DEAR GOD?!?! Would that mean it is perfectly natural and wise to have allies?

Stop whining about how everybody is blue to everybody. It has been like that for as long as I can remember. Still large wars are fought.

Otherwise everything you write will be considered to have a rediculous amount of swing cause any backlash cause of obvious bias doesnt land in ur lap bro.

Two articles about Delve and still not a single line about this… and the previous article "“The Legion” War Update – Delve Sucks." was pure PL propaganda.

Idea for an interesting question: Who will hire PL now ?

IMHO PL doesnt deploy supers in delve for a very good reason… Though there buddy buddy with test, test in true honest form is still apart of the cfc and will broadcast pl supers deployed in delve, especially those that can be taken. Fact remains that pl knows that they extended the prowess of there super cap fleet and knows the moment they engage with it there numero uno for getting them welped… Eve is keenly watching pl and almost all there super pilots are watch listed… Its a matter of time to where they deploy there supers and welp again. Suggestion? Rely on tactics and be the PL of old and not this fail embaressment that you currently are now.

Nobody cares about that because any given Sunday that fight would have gone in the other direction. If PL bridges in subcap support and jumps in supers we'd be looking a lot of dead HUN supers.

They have resorted to using supers and blap-dreads when losing versus BS fleets and they cloaky camp c2n like they were NOIR. hahah. much laughs indeed.

far cry from the alliance that used to go solo versus the entire NC and come out on top.

There is big talk within the PL grunts, rank and file types, to pull the fuck out of Delve and save face. Sure, its a stain in the panties, but like all things in Eve, it will be washed and forgotten within a year. The leadership wants to stay, but they know this will have the threat of making their beloved PL namesake dragged through the mud and blood of war in a "not" so favorable way.

Time will tell soon enough, but if PL doesn't start pulling off some extremely awesome shit in the next few weeks, the whole of Eve is going to start casting "Go back to WOW" and "I hear Jita is nice this time of year" comments, and many more that I don't want to meme here on this site out of respect.

Oh yeah, even -A- is laughing at you guys, and that's a cut right in the nut for sure. Soon, even IRC will punk PL up, then followed by Raiden. and BoB/Kenzuku<sp>/IT/whatever the fuck they are now. The future will be interesting, but for PL and the fact that they are relying so much on TEST as a back up will not end well. PL as pets, who would have thought it?

The current version of PL is nothing of what she was a year ago. I don't know if it is the Super and Titan nerf, or just a bunch of peeps getting sick of the same old thing. They really lack content as an alliance. Deploy, shoot shit, maybe take SOV for lol's, retreat back to low sec, rinse and repeat. Fun, I think not. That is the death nail for their membership, that is why they can't get participation in fleets. Even comm's has almost no activity.

PL will stay in delve until Habit finally passes waffles on the killboards or they give up.
BTW for being a "dieing" alliance PL sure does keep filling up their killboards, Waffles (PL recruiting corp) is number 12, all PL corps are in the top 20, goota scroll quite a ways down to find a nulli corp.
      just saying, he mad broes.

PL got hit where it hurt > their RTM operations. The leadership cant rtm their personal tech moons anymore. Thats why they dont rly bother anymore dragging down the alliance like this. Its a general demotivation of eve (wheres shawhoo? and his 15 trillion is alt?). He told me personaly that he was saving up isk to buy a new house and quit eve when there was enough isk. He was almost there untill he got banhammerd…

RA is just full of bears. They fight once a week and if they cant bear they log in their alts in the renter allainces in the drone regions. They are Farmer Russians. Delploy next to their carebear grounds and they vanish like wodkabottle in a homeless shelter…
