A Fateful VY-866 Night

GoonSwarm Federation and FA/Razor sent a fleet each into Intrepid Crossing to take a Tech moon. It sounds like they easily defended one of their own and got bored. IRC were took completely by suprise… as where some Goons.

But then again you can never tell if this was part of a plan or not. From what I can tell goons attacked the moon but then went on a hunt and where raped by an IRC CTA IN VY-866. Once TiDi hit a respectable level due to reinforcements The IRC called it of and gangs of SB’s attempted to attack. After that everything died down. Nothing interesting.

Intrepid Crossing Point of View

We received word of a Razor gang gathering in A1RR-M (Tenal) so we got a Home Defense fleet together. We jump bridged to HB-5L3 and fell back to VY-866 (Cobalt Edge) and set up camp on the gate. The enemy fleet came through to HB-5L3 and ganked one of our Carriers who despite numerous warnings on alliance as well as a local spike decided to take his carrier out of the station, he was left to his ignorance and was destroyed rather quickly.

The fleet eventually decided to jump through and engage us.

We started by making quick work of nine or so of their Scimitars and then moving onto their drakes with a number of Hictors/Dictors thrown into the mix after some time they decided to cut their lossses and try to escape with some of their ships intact.

Good fight all round…

good performances by all involved.

The rest of CFC was in Jita at that time, killing freighters.

Not true, this was before Burn Jita and what about the successful defence of the CSAA, that was an even bigger blood bath for the CFC.

I stand corrected my apologies, there was no Goons in that fleet, it was Razor and FA only, though I do recall the Goon campers coming back in force on Sunday.

target broadcasted fire at it simple… call targets vs goons and their prepping the targets before you've even started hitting..

Goons and their pets always seem to have spies on IRC comms… so we started not calling out the targets on comms anymore to help with them having the advanced warning of who the next targets will be.

    3. Hi there

Not calling out targets is a good tactic if if you know the enemy has spys on your comms actually.

      Wrong.

      1. Russians don't get called but they do get broadcast (it's the Cyrillics, you see)
      2. No time wasted sliding down the list looking for a name (that's usually mispronounced) that might be dead by the time you get to where they would have been if they were still alive – just click on the broadcast and there's your target.
      3. Reduced dependency on voice comms – the average grunt can pretty much ignore it.

ok not interested in the fight but interesting to see this corp come back

Apex Overplayed Coalition- fleeting 17, not bad for a come back.

if anyone cares to remember apex ardent coalition that started that fucked up alliance called nem3sis, seems the german wing restarted the corp and about time.

now they just need to fucking leave FA for something better.

so you missed the part where the IRC fleet then wiped the field of 15 out of the 18 logi (according to the killboard) that CFC brought and rofl-stomped the rest of their fleet…

wow this is news? this happened like a week ago.

    IRC tactics:

We will just sit on this gate at optimals with battleships and bombers agianst drakes.
    We wont jump through
You have to jump through into us who are set up.
Its so we can atleast maybe manage to win.

then we hurfblurf how we beat them drakes down with battleships.

How about you just STFU and GTFO.

Well done IRC, hope to see you guys again soon. :)

You guys have no honour, we came to your space looking for a honour fight, and everyone knows that the defending fleet in an honour fight always has to jump into the attacking force, thats just how it is…..just shows how dishonrable IRC really is, us guys in the CFC are used to this kinda stuff from everyone, and if the greater eve community knows whats good for them they will submit to the CFC, and play by our rules… Or else…

I was there via irc, cosmo isn't the most competent fc, for instance waiting until they decloaked to start shooting, and taking too long to broadcast targets. Anyways we have cloaky fag goon gangs permanent camping out jump bridge routes, and the goons are complaining about tactics, HTFU already.

Hmm Go figure, Target caller waits for logi to uncloak and kills them off first while losing 1 drake in the beginning of the fight. Logi's die and targets are getting killed so fast that it is hard to keep up on target calling. What I see in the video is a very good gate defense that completely owned the aggressors.
It would seem to me from all the post here that Goon's were a little upset that there was very limited info being given away in comm's and in a fair fight when they cannot cheat by listening in they whine like a bunch of little girls.

      Well done I.R.C

Cosmo's voice irks some people but not others. I think it's a matter of geography. Most of the Euros in IRC seem to have more trouble than the Americans, and those from northeastern US seem least likely to care. Personally, I think he sounds a little like Joe Pesci, which is a lot better sounding than Urkle / DBRB.
