The xDeath/IRC front has not cooled off.  xDeath spent a chunk of the last 24 hours gleefully blowing up sov structures.  The timers were obviously shifted to come out during late US timezone, a time when Russians would theoretically be doing things like working or doing that school thing.  With Internation Women’s Day (March 8th) out of the way, and all Russian mothers properly doted upon, it was time for xDeath and friends to pull some time off and put the hurt on IRC.  As a side note, I find it mildly amusing that xDeath launched an assault on the IRC while celebrating their version of Mother’s Day (though it seems to be a more important holiday over there than it is in the West).

Early into the morning of March 10th (Russian time), xDeath forces have been running around shooting things and dropping SBUs.  As IRC’s prime time began warming up yesterday, they began shooting SBUs and xDeath sov structures.  The IRC fleet was shooting an iHub while xDeath shot an IRC iHub.  It was a race to see who could finish their iHub off first.  IRC finished first and began moving their fleet into position to jump the xDeath fleet that was still working on the iHub in CBY8-J.  The capitals were in position, and the subcaps waited at the titan for a bridge.  It seems a handful of AAA bombers and a Damnation jumped into the heavily camped gate (your guess is as good as mine), and the command ship died spectacularly.

The cyno ship gets itself into position, cloaked up, in the midst of the xDeath fleet… and then disaster strikes.  The IRC titan gets disconnected.  With less than a minute before the iHub reinforces, the titan pilot scrambles to reboot and get back into the game.  The iHub reinforces, and the IRC FC decides to throw caution to the wind, and orders the cyno lit, and the capitals to jump in and engage.  With no bubblers, the xDeath fleet could have presumably escaped, but were still waiting out the triage timers.  The IRC subcaps, meanwhile, were burning for the engagement in the conventional way.  For a few minutes, there was that coveted dread on dread fleet action.  As the xDeath dreads came out of siege, they began jumping out, mindful that they were not bubbled down, but that situation could change at any minute.  About a dozen xDeath dreads managed to escape before the IRC subcaps jumped in and bubbled the few remaining capitals.  The first Moros died quickly under the blistering fire of 22 IRC dreads.

An AAA fleet also jumped into the system, led by Mukk, with Tier 3 BCs and logis as the second dread died.  For a twist, this second Moros had T2 trimarks (worth about a billion) on it and the pod had a full set of Slaves (add another 2 billion isk) making it a notable kill.  Meanwhile, the xDeath subcaps were engaged with the IRC subcaps.  From the look of how the fight unfolded from there, it was an even fight (dreads having been nerfed to the point they can’t do much of anything against subcaps).  For the next 15 minutes, the subcaps sparred.  A few attempts at bombing runs by both xDeath and AAA met with failure.  The xDeath FC called for the fleet to burn off and warp off.  With good fights in local, they left the system, having accomplished the task of reinforcing the iHub at the cost of two dreads and an expensive pod.

Battle Summary Doctor

The xDeath fleet headed home to take a short break, having been reinforcing structures for many hours by this point.  The xDeath fleet picked up roughly another 40 subcaps and more capitals before heading out again for more structure carnage.  US time zone was pushing into the late hours by this point, and Russian time zone was beginning to pick up.  The IRC fleet began standing down as the xDeath fleet jumped into E-BYOS for round two after the failed attempt to SBU the system the day before (we reported on that here).  This time, there was no resistance.  The xDeath fleet finished of a tower that had been previously reinforced, but as they were killing the modules, the scout on the station announced the IRC was undocking.  The xDeath FC called for the fleet to warp the the IRC station and engage the 40 man IRC fleet.  Horribly outnumbered, a few IRC ships died heroically before the remaining IRC ships warped out.

Eve-Kill Battle Summary

All in all, nothing terribly exciting, but it is definitely noteworthy that the fighting continues.  Five IRC systems are in final timers now and several more systems are SBU’d.  Meanwhile, xDeath towers in Osaa are reinforced and several systems in Outer Passage are SBU’d.  It is warming up to be an interesting weekend in the north.  Good fights to all involved!

Even though I don't like Oldma I would like to see IRC kick XD asses!

I don't know what XD are doing & personally I think RA can thank them for their lack of help during their recent demiss but for them to now go & start trying to take out yet another alliance makes me laugh.

How long will it be before the same thing happens as what they just did in the LXD/RA/SXD v -A-/Solar debacle?

it's great to see the russians killing or trying to kill each other off as it makes them a whole lot easier to defeat by others that are still yet to show their hands.

Otherwise there won't be anything left to "save us" from.

E-B SBUs dead, station repped, Legion managed to kill off our bubblers and extract their Nyx fleet but we did get our claws on 5 dreads, so we'll have to be content with that.

And now, after 9 hours of RFing xdeath structures, killing 1 TCU, repping 3-4 stations (our capitol included) and killing some capital ships… my client has crashed, all the things that use batteries are dead, and I. am. going. to. bed.

XIX is gasping for air and will be steam rolled from multiple directions. I doubt PL/NC have much motivation in propping up their pay masters after the RA collapse. How the tides have turned from a year ago when XIX were the masterminds in the biggest spaceholding coalition ever seen in EVE. Will be nice to see AAA put down the pain for those invasion contracts.

A couple corrections on this article:
    1) Gleefully blowing up structures is an interesting phase given nearly no structures have actually been blown up at this point.
    2) This fight did not take place in US prime, it took place after US prime and before RUS prime.
    3) Most timers are still first/second. The assertion that many systems are in final timer is flat incorrect.
    4) The fleet that had been reffing structures for hours was the IRC fleet. XD fleet was still fresh at this point and continued on to several other timers. XD has as many systems in ref as IRC does. Both sides are taking full advantage of prime time differences to flood each other with timers.

Actually at this point, xdeath may well have fewer RF'd systems. Their TCUs are starting to die, and those systems without TCUs are no longer technically reffed.

did not miss that one, thank god. It could've been even better though… it nearly escalated into an xdeath supercapital fleet funeral. Our supercaps were on standby slavering…

Alas, the XD HAC gang managed to kill off enough of our HICs and DICs for their Nyx fleet to escape, so the moment for epic escalation passed. Which is a real shame, since a series of bombing runs had pretty much killed off their fighters and fighter-bombers.

to help xdeathx in general I suppose, If you see a battlereport from earlier that day, xdeathx,'s AHACs got badly spanked and they needed more support for the capitals. xDeathX traditionally is close with goons, and Goons and us never liked each other very much. Good fights though! Goons are our main practice for bigger fleet warfare. i hope they like the practice too. so CFC would naturally be the XDeathx choice, of a nurse to help em walk. lately, I even like Goons better than xdeathx. at least goons have dignity and are brutal. xdeathx on the other side stirs up crap that somebody has to eat, and when it turns that it is them, they start throwing pet alliances against us, paying power-players to keep us at bay, or call anybody they can in general to wipe their asses after they shit themselves. It is repulsive, isnt it?

There are people in IRC that can join any alliance they please, but they stay here. CE is boiling of action. Being in IRC is about game attitude, not about being in the elite class of a computer game…pfft. So, trolls, get game, get life and shut up! Bring it on to see how horrible IRC is!

XD is learning a hard lesson about IRC right now… No one lives in Cobalt Edge long without Hardening The Fuck Up. Our skirmish fleets are sometimes questionable, but when it comes to sov-war we do not whinge, we do not feel pain, we do not get bored, we do not listen to your propaganda, we do not care how many times we die, and we always, *always* reship.

And while your pilots are running out of steam and running out of ships… we are just getting warmed up.

We are not some scrub renter alliance or pet. We have pride, identity, competent leadership and a big stack of supers we built because we didn't have anything else to do with all that drone goo.

You do not simply walk into Cobalt Edge.

You *certainly* do not simply walk *out*.

pff. Someone is always "moving back next door to" us. They so easily forget that the reason they're moving *back* is that they had to *leave*. Forgive me but after awhile "we're moving back next to you" starts to be yawn-worthy news.

I'm sorry, but if you think IRC's leadership is incompetent, you have no idea what is involved in living where we do. We're not just a PVP alliance, such alliances can't extract wealth from the dronelands, and they gradually rot over time if they try. We're a massive, complicated, seamless and redundantly reinforced logistics operation manned by specialists in every field. We are, in short, a nation.

No matter how long a person spends working for Blackwater, it will never make Blackwater their nation. When Blackwater has a rough month, it lays off employees. When Blackwater has a rough year, it collapses. PVP alliances are defined by their successes, and without underlying nationhood, they fall apart at the first speed bump, usually never to resurface.

IRC does not have the shiniest killboard. It's hard to maintain > 50% when you need industrialists to survive and rely on your member base actually extracting wealth from the region, rather than, say, the popular alternatives of RMT, botting and tech moons.

I'm sorry you couldn't cop it out here. I hope your less complicated new home is working out for you, and has all the padded corners you apparently need. If you do, indeed, move *back* next door to us, I'm sure we'll be obliged to welcome you home in style.

and why do you want IRC to loose members exactly? The fewer members we have the fewer to shoot for your roaming gangs. if you burn everything around yourself the only resistance you start getting is gate rats, and you have to fly half the damn universe to get one damn kill. IRC never touches alliances that roam our space although we can send some of them to low sec. What would be the point of it?!. They come to fight, we fight with changing success and everybody has fun. I in fact miss Morsus Mihi, they were fun to fight and well mannered players. never really enjoyed them being creamed chased by half EVE after NC fell apart. We actually enjoyed AAAs awesome fights latelly against RA and Co. i myself was linking your killboard, and you guys get a lot of respect in IRC. I think the resentment comes from IRC not being streamrolled by PL. Simple fact of the matter is PL didn't get paid to streamroll Cobalt, and some -A- pilots/leadership think that is unfair b/c of the amount of attention -A- has gotten from PL the last nine months.

-A- is just annoyed that xdeath jumped the gun before they were positioned to join in the carnage (they were, admittedly, a little busy at the time), so now they feel the need to portray themselves as some sort of mystical Deus ex Machina shadow-army waiting for the moment to kill-all-the-things, lest IRC walk away from this with more street cred than -A- thinks we deserve.

That said, Watercolor's right. We're quite fond of -A- now that you guys have taken a beatdown and gotten back up again. No need to pee in our cereal during a lovely war.

I don't think there is any diplomacy to be had here, LOD had a deal brokered by PL, and NCdot to help give LOD a fight chance by effectively taking IRC out of the war, and making it a one front war.

UAxdeath broke that deal, like I said, a deal brokered by merc's, and a merc is only as good as they're word, so i'd be surprised to see LOD getting any more help from them. Infact i'd be surprised to see them not hitting LOD assets themselves. Time will tell, but as far as the entites actually involed….. shadow members can always flip to solarwing thats about the only actual diplomacy I could see happen, and this is likly to happen alot in the next few weeks, but theres nobody coming to save LOD sov. holdings.

I think everyone can agree that opening a 2nd front by breaking a treaty put in place by entities that just saved them from the brink 2 months ago wasn't the most brilliant move Uaxdeath has ever made, and sadly his renters will pay for it by and large.

Nc. joined the war against legion and goons are coming to save legion. I must admit I did not expect that to happen.

It may seem like a quibbling matter, but legion bat-phoned goons/FA long before NC. joined the mix.

Well, there is some possibility that the renters will simply end up renting from someone else. IRC could use a cap-ship replacement program, after all, and in the absence of tech moons and botting, renters are actually an attractive alternative source of steady income.

In general it goes against IRC's modus operandi to have renters, but that's actually kinduf a sad thing since they'd be really good at organizing them, profiting from them, and providing for them. Effectively managing a rental empire requires precisely the sort of logistical capabilities that set IRC apart. There's potential in that sort of feudal system that has not been properly exploited to date, and IRC might be just the group to take it to the next level.

IRC won't be taking on renters, and also doesn't really want xDeath's space for themselves. Maybe They'll give some of it to Solar to pay off their debt from when Solar gave them CobLt Edge after xDeath got IRC kicked out of Etherium Reach.

XDeath is in trouble and this time PL and NCdot won't be rescuing them. Best case scenario for xDeath is Raiden starts to falter under goons attack and IRC is forced to pull back to focus more on a threat in Tenal. Not likely, though.

More likely is xDeath will be crashing on the Goons couch for awhile while they plot their eventual revenge.

IRC has good fleets and alot of good pilots. but they always choose the Kindergarden Stratedgy when engageing Aka. Attacking head on. And looseing half their forces in the first 5 mins. I flew with IRC for awhile and they didnt like the words tactics. (break fleet up come in from different angles to surround.

But half their FC's dont use the word Tactic's they think Head on collision is the only way to pew pew.
Get a small group of 10-15 bombers to go in with Void Bombs. Fire them in center of enemy fleet Logi pilots will be scrambling to get cap to their fleet send 5 bombers in after void is fired with damage bombs. then 1s later warp main fleet in.

Thats only a light weight noob tactic ive never seen them use. at all.

Sure had some good runs and all. The PL/xdeath war was. Silly russians. spending isk because they knew they where going to get raped.
Props to PL for 1 Shoting Frig fleets with Titans. :)

If you're going to void-bomb something in preparation for the arrival of your fleet upon another fleet with logistics support, may I recommend void-bombing the LOGISTICS SUPPORT? Unless a ship is actively engaged in combat *and uses cap for its guns* it is very hard to turn off hardeners with bombs. Passive regen, even from a zero'd capacitor, is generally enough to keep most of them running, and timing the damage bombs would be tricky since the hardeners don't just turn *off* they finish cycle first. You'd do a little more damage, but not a lot. Also wiping out the capacitor of their logistics has the beautiful side effect (you appear to be assuming those logis are either guardians or basis, as the others don't fit cap trans) of breaking their cap-pairing temporarily.

More tellingly (more indicative of your bomb-related ignorance), a full wave of damage bombs is 7-10 bombs, not 5 (depending on skills and ships used, 7 bombs if all 5s in racial ship = 8k damage vs 99.5% same-type resistance over 50 armor and 240 structure / 7.25 bombs therefore 8th bomb destroyed). Conversely the most void bombs you can (effectively) launch in one wave is 10 – they do 28 damage in their radius and they have the same EHP as damage bombs, but with no resistances… i.e. the 11th bomb is destroyed by its brothers. This is more than enough anyway, as that amounts for 18,000 capacitor, or over 2x the capacitor capacity of an un-modded Abaddon.

So really, if you're going to be launching fifteen void bombs, you should launch maybe 5 of them at the BS fleet, and 1 at the logis, then rinse-repeat over the course of the battle to come.

It's also fairly obvious you've never done any serious bombing. Expecting a fleet to sit still, untackled, through two waves of bombs and a fleet warp is really quite stupid.

This can be rectified by using one cloaky to arrange a warp-in for a dictor, though the dictor will usually die in the attempt. The void bombs would keep the MWDs turned off and prevent the fleet from leaving while you launch the second wave and warp your fleet in (at a different cloaky lined up so as to avoid the bubble and land at optimals).

So a more functional implementation of your suggested strategy might be as follows:

Position 2 warp-ins while the bombers are positioning – one over the fleet at optimal and one behind the fleet at 100km. Warp a dictor to the latter at 100km and the fleet to the former. send 5-6 void bombs at the BS fleet and 1 at the Logis, then repeat this action once more over the course of the fight, mixing in damage waves from time to time primarily so the enemy all spams "need shield/armor" and borks the broadcast history for the logis. Bubbled and without cap the enemy fleet wouldn't be going anywhere and you'd be free to pick them apart at will.

That might work out pretty well, assuming an enemy fleet was sitting still long enough for this to be set up… which basically never happens, because that would be f*cking retarded.

      But thanks for the pro-tip?

and now that I've actually read his wall-of-text, I gotta say, he's not a carebear. I dunno about his bombing history, but whoever posted that is a Logi pilot – note that bit about the borked broadcast history?

No one who hasn't flown large-fleet logistics and been bombed in the process would ever think to mention that, but broadcast spam kills more fleets than void bombs, I assure you.

Err, my math is off on two points, I was pooped and checked it hastily. It takes 7.25 bombs to destroy a damage bomb at all skills 5, so it's actually the 9th bomb that gets destroyed, not the 8th, since the bomb doesn't damage itself.

Therefore it's 8+ bombs for a full wave, not 7+

Similarly the 12th void bomb, not the 11th, is destroyed – so 11 is a full wave. To which corrections I say overwhelmingly "Meh. Whatever. Point stands."

I am making a lot of gunshells for structure destruction. There will be blood in the north now. I dont know in what mind xd decided to attack exactly us, after we got so much resentment for them due to past history, and they had a peace deal brokered by the mercs that we were adhering to. They broke the deal and completely discredited PLs and Nc.s main business. And all this attack on our sovereignty was done when xDx are having enough troubles to the south with -A- and allies!!!!???
xD must have gotten a deadwish!
I dont think they have a remote chance to make it intact out of this now.

Legion of xdeath as an alliance will almost certainly survive, LOD proper will get thier assest out well thier pets put up a meat shield for them. The corps in alliances like shadows, bloodbound, cluster of rebirth, and voodoo will probably end up taking large losses in membership and assets well LOD moves assets out of the region to regroup.

All the other pets/renters seem stable atm. But with the LOD's assault on Cobalt hulted w/o even taking one system, and TCU killmails becoming common place on Solar/-A-/IRC killboards… I think it's fair to say it's time to evacuate.

Not like IRC is the top of the EVEs pvp, but we fought xD's renter fleets number of times and poor things cant really handle our CTAs. Unless the legion FCs (i hope they have some) rally them and put some structure in the mess. SOLAR is back into the meat-grinder too, they have fewer numbers but are very motivated to kick some xD's ass :),and SOLAR must be one of the toughest alliances in EVE that I know.

I've got about the same number of ships to lose as you…haven't even lost one yet! Closest I came was when AAA temp blue'd us for the dread bash. That last bombing run took my shield tempest down to about 20% armor, but I was still alive. Needless to say that Tempest is running on borrowed time.

Targets will not be a problem. It would appear that xDeath was under orders by the goons to attack IRC to keep IRC from helping Raiden. in the North.

Whoops. Big Mistake. Big, BIG Mistake.

Killboards show this weekends activity results. Razor repelled in the North. Goons (and pets) helping xDeath in the East saving baby Titans. Goons getting hit in Delklein by NC. Shadows losing sov rapidly through force and abandonment.

Apparently the goonies decided to not wait for any potential titan nerfs to kick things off. Let's revisit this in 6 months to see how well it worked out for them. My bet is that xDeath will run to Delklein to help defend Goon space, ultimately leading to another all encompassing 0.0 war.

Assuming this isn't a outright troll, and that's one BIG assumption; if tech is planned to get nerfed and the Mittani has inside info as to when and how, does that mean Goons are effectively milking their space as much as possible before purposefully taking on the rest of EVE knowing full well that they soon "won't want that space anyway?"

            THE END IS COMING!

How can you tell if you are a fail alliance ??
when most of your fights you have to call in help to fight IRC. For an alliance that is said to be the ultimate in fail why is it that XDeath one of the great alliances,in urgent need to call upon not one not 2 but 7 or 8 alliances to fight and to protect their space from IRC. A war UAxDEATH did not even have to worry about with the nip that came to pass because of PL and NCdot being paid to protect them.… and… nice job bombers!! good thing the bombers from goonswarm was there to save you. But yet to this i ask WHERE IS XDEATH???? oh wait i forgot XDeath does not fight wars they starts them then hire people to fight them for him. All i can say is PATHETIC. But really 8 or 9 alliances fighting for you and you do not hardly show up to fights really i thought XDeath was stronger than that. Lets go goonies and all you others lets spend our isk to protect someone who sits like a fat cat and does nothing to get his danty little paws dirty. Remeber our isk is your isk to burn UAxDEATH. So now that UAxDEATH has stabbed PL and NCdot in the back what are there plans for goonies and company. Only time will tell.
