Intrepid Crossing has been pretty busy in the Oasa region. Daring commenters were right when they mentioned they would prove crucial to whichever side they were to chose in the SOLAR/XIX war. We give them the credit of being at least a “head-ache” for Legion of xXDEATHXx.

Here is an alliance update sent to us, it deals mostly of recent events and the inclusion of Pandemic Legion into the whole Russian Civil war equation:

Oasa war updates

3 weeks ago we reset standings with xxDeath and attacked Oasa. Everyone was excited to finally be able to use caps and supers in combat, they made the job fast and easy. xxDeath renters were running for the hills dropping sov in a few systems, we only met a small opposition. IRC corporations were tasked with securing different areas, driving renters away, claiming sov, deploying safe POSs – everything was done exceptionally well. Within 1 week we had half the region secured and a few more stations in reinforced.

Oasa residents Strange Brew allied with us and reset xxDeath also. It was harder for them because xxDeath bridges were right in their constellation. We helped them with a few timers, they helped us with a few fleets – building up a solid partnership. Solar was doing great too. They kept xxDeath capital system in constant reinforced state. Every battle they had they won, when they couldn’t win they were staying safe.

Then, Pandemic Legion came. Everyone is aware what kind of alliance PL is – very smart, strong pvp side, biggest in Eve supercapital blob, expensive and effective subcaps. In addition to PL, NC. came – to cover the timezone gaps or just for some kills – I don’t know. With their help, xxDeath started pushing back. Stakes went higher on both sides, Solar looked for allies and found A and Gypsy Band; xxDeath enlisted Red Alliance and all of their pets. It became a battle of coalitions.

When PL came in, we insisted our caps and supers stay docked up/logged off at all times. This is for a good reason. Everyone knows how good PL is with finding, bumping, bubbling and hot dropping. We only had 1 supercapital loss – which is great, considering what we are up against. Let’s keep it that way. We unfortunately lost a few rorquals and carriers and some other expensive stuff. Everyone who owns a ship equipped with jump drive needs to learn a few simple rules:
– watch intel channel at all times
– never jump into a system without a scout
– never jump into a system with red or neutral in local, even if their bio says it’s an IRC alt
– never jump into a system when PL is reported within 1-2 jumps
– never rat in a carrier when PL is close by
– safest jump for dockable ships is directly to station, to a manual cyno

With all their might, PL and NC. didn’t accomplish much so far apart from stopping our offensive. Several of our Oasa stations went through the reinforced timers and got saved, thanks to people constantly fleeting up to kill SBUs. They did kill a supercapital production POS which is unfortunate but happens in war times. They made a big push last weekend to reinforce every single station system in Solar space – that amounted to nothing, Solar and allies saved all of them. Today all our Oasa stations as well as Solar stations got reinforced again. The fight goes on.

One thing to remember is that PL are mercenaries hired by xxDeath. Noone kows the length of contract, rumor says it’s 2-3 weeks which costs xxDeath 60 bil a week. There is no way we’d be able to stop PL. But think about it – every week we manage to push back a little, we kill 60 bil in xxDeath’s wallet. More than we would ever be able to kill in ships. Once xxDeath stops paying, contract ends – they are dead in the water. xxDeath keeps getting weaker. Did you notice yesterday xxDeath had to call on pets to help reinforce our stations? Half of the caps in xxDeath fleet were Bloodbound, 90% of the SBUs deployed were PL, NC. or Bloodbound.

So, what to expect now?

First – many fleets to help Solar. They have alot more on the line than we do. We have set blue standings With Gypsy Band and few other alliances in our coalition, others get set to blue for big fights and reset after. Avoid shooting neutrals when you are in coalition size fights.

Second – lots of station defense and SBU killing, lots of unplanned ops. Our Oasa stations got reinforced again; if PL and NC. are busy somewhere else we may be able to save them yet again. And if not – that means our allies are free to save their stations while PL is busy with us. We need to do it smart. PL learns very fast. They found a counter to us stealing SBUs (dictor bubble and a nyx with officer smartbombs on top of it), and counter to us killing SBUs with bombers (they dispatch a couple frigate killer tech3’s as soon as they get an attack mail). Our turn to come up with a counter to them

Third – roaming. We need to keep pressure on xxDeath pets. Dotlan is a great tool – look at the map for ridiculous number of NPC kills. Put a cloaky in there – you just killed xxDeath’s income for a day, and possibly drove off more renters. Look for hot spots

This is not the time to relax and make isk (though everyone needs to balance their losses with income). Everyone needs to be more proactive in finding things to do that would help our cause. Don’t wait for official FC or HC to start something. This is the time where ordinary people who step up and do things get promoted. This is the time that makes it very clear who is in IRC for their own benefit and who is genuine about making our alliance succeed. If there is no ops planned, it doesn’t mean there will be no ops. Everyone should be ready to join fleets (or lead fleets) any time they are online and there is something to do.

As always, if you got any questions or concernes – talk to anyone on ts with HC tag and they will point you to the right direction. Generally, Oldma handles politics and alliance direction, Axexut – combat stuff, Wiseoak – corporation matters, Takhion – POSs and industry, Tessa Yor – logistics, Deadeye One – capital channels.

lol – could IRC's early accomplishments be more dated? No talk of the battle over ww-ovq which failed? IRC's Oasa advance was stymied over two weeks ago, before Co2, PL and NC. came on board and only recently Bloodbound redeploying into the area. Now with the constant threat of PL and NC. hotdrops on any sized IRC fleet (or ship), and larger and more consistent Shadow/Bloodbound/Co2 fleets operating in the area, Oasa has become a mop up operation. While it makes for a good soundbite to the IRC troops in the field, they can't be all that impressed with their rolling of miners and ratters in a region dominated by previously unorganized renters. In the end, IRC will eventually be rolled back to await whatever fate is headed towards them from all directions. Still waiting for Oldma's buzzard full of BPO's to get caught again trying to escape. But quite likely his assets were already sitting safely in lowsec on the day they were telling their members that PL entering the fray was a short-term contract.

        Conclusions are:
IRC can't fight PL on std alpha or SC fight -no surprise
IRC fights guerrila style and to the death, often looses – means they have heart and are not pussies; a distinction from xdeath any day of the weak.
IRC suicide often – no surprise, you can make all the ships you want with that drone rat shit in CE
IRC allied with respectable fighters and can hold their head high = Yes
I have a lot of respect for PL but I have to ask "doesn`t it suck to fight for cowardly, botting loosers like XDeath? PLEASE LEAVE THAT HUGE ALLIANCE TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES AND YOU WILL SEE IRC AND SOLAR WIPE THEM OFF THE MAP IN 1 MONTH.

Morale in IRC is really high. And I say that even AFTER the face-stomp PL delivered to E-BY after flipping the station in W5-V today. We are once again facing overwhelming odds, and rather than cower, whine, or finger point, folks are going balls to the wall taking on all fights. I'm quite proud to be a part of this alliance, and proud to be on the side of Solar. Our Russian allies are relentless warriors, an that makes this war all the more fun.

And that's really the bottom line: we are having fun. Hell, we're even having fun replying our stations

No one knows where things will go from here. But we are building closer ties while helping write the next story we'll be telling new members a year from now.

Best thing you can do is stop them for a while. Beware though, they'll be back to try some lemming later, and if you screw up, you might get rolled dude.

IRC gets stomped by blobs all the time, the fact that PL was hired to stomp them once again probly just makes them bond more then ypur avg. GSF blob.

IRC has faced worse before so calling that they might disband is kinda crap. They are shit but they are also much better than before overal than ever before, in numbers and constant fleets. i have seen some bad losses but they bring their fare share to the fight. i would consider IRC is to solar what FA is to goons.

both shit alliance but compare to a lot of other alliance they are not bad.

It's only a matter of time now till LOD loses it's space, the blood is in the water, and even if PL somehow manages to remove all of solars sov. they will keep hitting LOD from NPC space.

If you know you history the only reason LOD has sov. is b/c of solar, only reason they have manage to hold sov. is b/c of solar, and solar will be LOD's downfall, it's only a matter of time.

If you were to say something like "IRC is an awful PvP alliance, and everytime we engage them they wipe thier fleet", people would probably think to themselves "looks like this guy knows what he's talking about", b/c the general consensus in the community is IRC is an awful PvP alliance.
When you say something like "IRC won't engage us, all they ever do is blueball us!, people that read that think to themselves…"Why on earth wouldn't IRC engage some renter alliance when they pretty much suicide fleets into my alliance all the time….. What the hell is this carebear alliance pubbie talking about?". B/c the general consencus in the community is… If you fly to cobalt, you'll get a fight.

how did the ww- battle fail… from where I was sitting IRC nuked 16 caps and several supers. Out of all of the xIx renters those guys were cool as shit.

On another Note: in the history of the game 90% of anyone against PL … the anyone logs, sits in stations/poses, or tries to bribe there way out. IRC at least gets into ships and fights. It would be easier if titans didn't lock like frigates … but all things being equal, it is still fun fights. We took OASA once we will do it again. XiX is going to lose, and lose big, and when they look to there Goon Ali and say help … the Goons will do what they have ALWAYS done and NOT show up for the fights…. No honor pussy's ….

I have my coat hanger ready for the next xIx titan abortion …. better secure your titan cookers as the doctor is ready to see you now …

    IRC has the right attitude.

Long term XIX is dead meat. One can only hold out so long entirely propped up by foreign mercs.

    * Ensure your assets are safe.
    * Put up a strong intelligence defense as best as possible working with allies.
    * Most importantly, give no fuck about stations, sov. Ultimately, you will get it back and be better, stronger and more unified as an alliance for the struggle.

I know that some renter corps ran or did not fight back but my Corp felt that we must decked the system we live in. We were out numbered at least 2 – 1 but my corp put lots of carriers on the line to fight and basicly were meat shields. One of our members took a cap loss came back out in a bs, lost that and came out again. Yes we are renters but I know for sure that my Corp are not pussies. IRC are people I don't know but they put up a fight and I respect them for that. But just remember before PL came we defended ww-and we are still going out to pvp.
