Confirming the rumors we poasted a few days ago, Morsus Mihi finally anounces severe changes on their structure with the biggest whopper being several corps (HIRR, FUSEN, Macabre Votum @ 11:20) setting sail for new tides, while other are still deciding what to do.

Check out the recording and be advised, this is not meant for those with teary eyes…

While I don't have a horse in this race I gotta think Eve in worse off as a game with their passing. Hopefully I'm wrong.

You have a valid point. It's now either be a part of CFC, or the napfest that is the former DRF – and that really is it. Seems a lot of alliances out there are beneath most Eve players… but it's winter now. Maybe we'll see a new power rise to take their place. We can but dream.

They strike me as the sort of guys that enjoy PVP too much to want to kick the DRF out of their space, or Goons there. At least we won't have to worry about Molle coming back!

            Hypothetical Situation:
Molle comes back makes and alliance called "Ape Shit" the 4th or 5th incarnation of BOB, weather you count raiden. They ass rape all AAA, Goons and DRF, then failscade due to internal issues after having gratuitous amounts of fun

-A- and friends are still a valid power, at least in the south. Not a universal power, mind you, but their influence is well known, as RA and WN. can attest to.

        1. Former NC

I'm not disputing -A- as a power, far from it. I don't however think they're seen in the public eye as "the cool kids" judging from the huge amount of negrep I see some comments getting. Hence the "beneath some people" remark; it's not cool to like -A- and it's far easier to knock them. But they're still here, right? Haven't been disbanded by traitors/spys, haven't fallen victim to boredom, haven't lost out to low morale and if memory serves me right they lost all their sov and still somehow came back from that devastating blow.

Hence also, why I believe it'll take a newer power to rise up and dethrone those higher up on the food chain – people like -A- are having too much fun doing their own thing, why should they rid Eve of the tyranny of the superblocs? It'll be a new somebody who's fed up with the current way things are, and will take the situation into their own hands.

-A- are having fun docking up and whining about ~blobs~ when a fight is brought to them? I guess you have to be a special kind of masochist to find that fun.

Lol. The moons were distributed pretty evenly amongst the 10 or so MM corps, and they did what they pleased with it. Being the bears that we are, a lot of it went into infrastructure and ship replacement. You don't have to believe it, but I've seen the income-expenditure statements.

Vuk's RMT-ing stuff is a common refrain when you can't really come up with other shit, but really, our predicament has less glamorous roots =P

Heh what a disappointing meeting. A lot of people wanted to know some of the why's, but I guess with the dice cast it didn't make sense to air one's dirty laundry..

    For all it's worth:

    – MV has been in a power struggle with Vuk for a while, with TJ and Jamus leading the charge. MM will miss the MV FCs who make up half it's FC bench. Though perhaps not Jamus' retarded EFT-warriored fleet fits =P

    – FUSEN were MM's fairweather friends. They joined at the height of MM's glory days, and are leaving now to join … NCdot. The irony of it all is overwhelming, but I guess one can't blame Cheeba for looking out for his corp. Their recently leaked corp recording was quite telling.

    – hirr's…. awol? Maybe moving on with MV will help them, maybe it won't. They don't really matter in any real way anyway.

Of those staying, it's not clear what's gonna happen. The general consensus seems to be more of a "new campaign to be announced soon! (TM)" holding pattern, which really is pissing the grunts off. The half of them that are not leaving dutifully moved to Curse.. and then all this shit hit the fan. Of those staying, it makes for an interesting mix.

    – Vuk's 4S is understandably going through an identity crisis. Maybe Vuk was actually weeping, which is why he made up all that shit about his mic not working.. =P

    – TGRAD, well, they have heart, but there is only so much you can do with a corp of predominantly 5M SP toons from the Uni (No Poetic, this is NOT your cue to make a smartass comment)

    – OI, FSR, Arrow – not really hearing much from them. Probably in a holding pattern..

    – Shiva has Master Akira, so they should be fine.

    – And finally WSHOT – boy did these guys have it rough. The timing wasn't the best for them, suffice it to say.. But they are good at their pee-vee-pee so this might be their chance to prove themselves.

    1. 4S is doing fine. We are considering our options and strengthening our bond as a corp.

Well, for the corp who gave probably best FCes in MM/NC in past years i feel they certainly contributed much till the end. Which ever alliance gets their supercap fleet will get jackpot too beides their big logistics and membership base.

I wouldn't say TGRADs predominantly consists of 5 M SP toons. On the contrary, many members have been playing for a long time and are very active.

In fact, TGrads has a large number of capital pilots, many pilots who have been playing the game for 5, 6 years, and lots of experienced pilots. They do accept pilots with lower SP from eve uni, but the majority of pilots are experienced null or low sec pvp'ers.

As someone fucked over by MM up north, I bid thee farewell – and it has to be said, with no ill feeling. It was a pleasure to have been a part of the NC with you guys while it lasted(much fun and BFF had with our brosefs over in MM!), I just honestly wish your leadership had made a proper go of keeping shit together and not bent over backwards at the first sign of trouble.
And I don't just mean abandoning the meatshield that is Vale/Geminate, Fortress Tribute was meant to be exactly that, and in the end there wasn't even a fight put up against NCDOT and friends.

I will not look back on you as a bunch of good guys led from one disaster to another by illiterate leaders, but as a bunch of good guys who didn't have to let us have their space and tech moons, and always let us join in their fleets for yet another GF in local.

"Fortress Tribute was meant to be exactly that, and in the end there wasn't even a fight put up against NCDOT and friends"

That fortress was built for a different era, it just couldn't stand up to the numbers of supercaps we faced. Everyone wanted to keep fighting, but it was simply senseless to throw more fleets at what we faced. To give you an idea when I was evacing stuff from UMI-KK after the pull out decision 80 supers jumped in, seiged it and left in less than 10 minute, then I was able to go right back to evacing. There were no subcaps at all, no other fleets, nothing we could harass, just those unstoppable supers relentessly taking any unjammed system. The main 4-5 days we evaced we had a protection fleet rolling through primetimes that rarely had anything to fight 'sides that super blob

Yes we shoulda had our own 100 supers still at that point of the war, we shoulda had enough depth to manage the capital losses as the DRF advanced through Gem and Vale, but we didn't and by that point the fortress counted for nothing

Just another casualty in Eve's long, slow road into shit-hole status. 0.0 has nothing left for the average player, and with falling numbers in all major alliances, MM is just another footnote in CCP's destruction of eve the game, and the creation of eve the botting paradise.

If they would stop making high sec a place where you can make a extremely higher amount of isk this game would be better. No reason for a safe and secure area to be making more isk then a dangerous one because then there is no reason to be in the dangerous area and that is what we are seeing.

    3. Keep in mind that MM has some quality corp and members. The problem and big reason for their downfall is their leadership. As mentioned, you have semi-active bitter vets who are really out of touch with what's going on calling all the shots, and they're not necessarily the right calls being made. This has been going on in MM for about a year now. While I don't agree with their leadership, I like their members and enjoyed flying with them. I was hoping the Delve time and move to Curse would be enough to prop them back up to their old glory days, but seems all it did was hardened the leadership in their positions. It's too bad, but this crash came from the top down.

What goes around comes around. This was inevitable. The worst part is the regular players got screwed over. While leadership with all their dozens of alts had fun with the moon-goo. Now because the leadership doesnt want to accept change they just disband the alliance and try to join another alliance so they can once again try to profit. If an alliance fails, its because of the corps and their leadership. They would be as worse in another alliance as they would be in the current. It simply shows they dont have enoff backbone to improve the situation. Look at old corps from the old NC not many corps survived or are now in NPC/Empire.

reason for RAWR not making the changes needed was because all the guys in charge were bitter vets who don't play eve anymore, but they couldn't let newer fresher faces make decisions.

anything mentioned on forums would get trolled by inactive vets who didn't have perspective on current events.

so it was a case of having their cake and eating it too, just didn't work

We all know the real reason behind MM disbanding.

Its not their leadership rarely logging in and playing jabber-online all day.
Its not their members growing fat and lazy, selling the weapons of their own demise to their enemies.
Its not their failure to mount significant resistance to any form of aggression in the past year.

Its Goons. Goons are the reason MM is dead!
