Raiden. also bringing the party to Delve/Querious residents – Raiden. vs DekCO

October 27th, L-6BE1 solar system of the Querious Region.

From reports, Raiden had dropped SBUs a few days prior and had returned to shoot the station. Initially, it seems the Delve residents tried to hit the Raiden. subcap fleet from range, but something weird happened. Deklein Coalition forces showed up. Raiden’s fleet was bubbled by Deklein Coalition while Delve continued battering them from range. L-6BE1 was a messy fight. It isn’t clear whether or not Deklein Coalition and Delve collaborated, but looking through the kills, it is pretty clear that they ignored each other for the most part and focused on killing their common nemesis, bobkennyitraiden. Nulli and some “Thundercats” corp (you aren’t in Razer anymore, no one cares) showed up with 2 people each to ninja in on killmails and catch stragglers. So, whether planned or not, the lines in L-6BE1 seemed to be drawn like this:
BR Doc

Both sides had almost equal numbers (the 13 caps/supers of Raiden only showed up after the field was clear). Raiden was Abbadon heavy, while Deklein Coalition brought a battlecruiser-heavy fleet and Delve fielded battleships and bombers. As has been the case for most of this year, PL was flying with Raiden and friends, more evidence that they are not actually “for hire” but simply part of the now sprawling coalition (everyone reset, my ***).

Raiden began moving off the station, out of the bubbles, as the Delve battleships took apart the weak or slow to react. Just as they got out of the bubbles, Deklein Coalition battlcruisers warped in almost on top of them. You have to give credit to Raiden logis who pulled off several miracles during the course of this battle but the sheer dps of the combined Delve/Deklein Coalition fleets (and likely switch to two or more primaries at the same time) began taking its toll. New bubbles dropped on the Raiden fleet, trapping it once more and ships begin dying. Well over characters in local combined with the sudden introduction of piles of drakes and their server-dreaded missile spam and the node was brought to its knees. Some rubber-banding and lagging modules was all it took to turn this fight into a slaughterfest for all sides.

A high lag situation should have favored the heavier buffer of the baddons, but several successful bombing runs put scattered damage across the Raiden fleet that was simply too much for the logis to keep up with. In the end, Raiden lost more isk, but were able to run the other fleets off the field. Supers and dreads were dropped, and the station was flipped, and the TCU was killed.

BoBKenzokuITRaidendot and the coalition of We-don't-have-a-massive-blue-list-double-the-size-of-the-old-NC (no, really, they don't) has reared its ugly, misshapen, failed-abortion head in Delve…are we really that surprised?

As well, in before the BoBKenzokuITRaidendot team of "didn't want that sov/station anyway, we're here for ~guid figths~" arrives.

Goons have by far the largest bluelist atm so the fact people in goons are complaining about others bluelist blows my mind. Stop you bitching, call on your pets, and fight back.

After the super nerf, the power will shift a bit between these two. DRF depends too much on super numbers.

        1) No, check your numbers…

        2) We're not hypocritical enough to say "We don't like blue, we don't want a massive blue list" then make a massive blue list and never reset anyone. We don't deny our blue list exists.

I believe CFC was attacked by the combine forces of the most of the DRF (white noise, raiden), NC.dot, evoke and PL. Your telling me that that bluelist isn't bigger?

The VAST majority of Bob/Ken/IT supers are in the corps that now are in Raiden. Sure, Raiden is run differently than Bob and isn't run by Molle. Raiden, however, has the same bittervet crew that controlled Delve and the surrounding area for years and holds the same prejudices as Bob of old. So, it shouldn't come as a surprise when people refer to it as the latest incarnation of Bob.

But but they brought the supers in after the fight!

Its not like their sub-cap pilots aren't competent and have to be held up by their capital-sperg backbone.

The supers didn't drop until after the fight. It was in the article. People seem to be commenting on this article without reading it, judging from many of the comments.

Was an epic fun fight 250 raiden and pl against 450 goons +pets (and others). Lag was bad so guardians could not lock quick enough. The goons did one of the best bombing runs i have ever seen, helped by a bad dictor on raidens side who bubbled most of the fleet. Station was captured as was the system.

Not mentioned: CFC bombing run towards the end that leaves a lot of Raiden Abaddons at low health. Then a few leftover MM bombers take the opportunity and bomb, killing 50+ Abaddons.

That's about as vague as you could put it, yes. Considering that it was by far the largest source of Abaddon kills in the fight, "oh yeah and there were some bombs that did some damage and were hard to rep" doesn't describe it very justly.

There weren't many details about the bombing run. Anywhere. Just "zomg, bombing run killed a bunch of Raiden battleships!" I send out requests for more info to diplos when I start writing an article. Sometimes I get "alliance policy to not talk about anything," sometimes I get real responses back in a reasonable time and the article is shaped by those responses. Sometimes I get a response back over a week later, too late to be part of an article that people would care to read. But often, I simply don't get a response. Most of the info comes from readers who post stuff in the drop box. So, either kick your diplos into providing info on fights in a reasonable time frame or start providing it yourself.

It's possible to ascertain some details without having someone tell you them. For example, from the eve-kill BR in the article, you can go to the first listed dead Abaddon and see that it was killed by bombs. Go to the first listed bomber on that kill, and then see the dozens of Abaddons and pods that it racked up in that fight. You can compare times (or look at the times on the BR doc) to get a sense of the timeline, too. You wouldn't be able to say that it was MM finishing off what the CFC bombers started, but you get numbers and times.

Additionally, I wasn't even at the fight and I knew this information. It wasn't exactly op-sec (people were crowing about it the next day on comms), so I'm surprised you didn't get this info from nearly anyone in either the CFC or MM.

PL continue to be ' for hire ' (at a rate nobody can afford) while helping their good buddies in DRF friends attempt a steamroll of another region for ' lulz ' and ' good fights ' .

Thats whats next. However since alot of delve is actually npc sov, it really is Good Fights for everybody. So not too bad after all.

Pretty wrong BR mister Bagehi. Let me quote a couple of errors here:
"but something weird happened. Deklein Coalition forces showed up"
"but looking through the kills, it is pretty clear that they ignored each other for the most part and focused on killing their common nemesis"
Team goon and team fail/MM/brick/whatevers waited on each other to arrive on the field. Goons entered first and didnt go straight for the fight but waited for the complete team blob to blot out the sun. Which brings me to quote number 2:
"Both sides had almost equal numbers"
450 goon/MM/others equals 200 raiden/PL. Although the endresult showed that this was rather true.
"A high lag situation should have favored the heavier buffer of the baddons,"
It did! That is why during the complete fight the endresult was 300 kills for 15 losses on part of the raiden/PL side.

Still kudo's for the wonderfull after-fight bombing run when everybody was relaxing, from team old-NC MM/goons. Which resulted in 4 times more kills as during the complete fight.

450 includes all the reshipped people. If you look through the list, a ton of pilots are listed as flying a BC and a bomber. The killboards list that as two people.

I did actually mention the turning point of the fight being the bombing runs. It should have favored the Abaddons, but then they got bombed. Logis can't rep everyone at the same time, so baddons died. First sentence, last paragraph.

There is the battle doctor report: http://dog-net.org/brdoc/?brid=1269
-Everyone who dropped in (except PL) had agreement to shoot only RDN
-Only capital fielded during battle was 4 bait dreads to get CFC interested, SC´s were only used to capture the station after the fight was over
-Blue side lost 10-20 ships while killing over 200 ships (and 80 pods) during the conventional fight
-Blue side lost 50+ abaddons in bombing runs after the fight was over

But dont let the facts discourage you from posting shit.

Congrats on the epic bombing run!

      1. Raiden didn't know that. I'm sure it was surprising for them to see CFC and Delve fighting on the same side, which is what I said.

      2. "(the 13 caps/supers of Raiden only showed up after the field was clear)." as quoted directly from the article.

      3. Looks like I got a bad killboard battle summary. Not sure when all those BC kills made it onto the board, but they were not there when I was writing this, unfortunately. Better: http://dog-net.org/brdoc/?brid=1322

      4. 63 Abaddons were killed by bombers, 71 total Abaddons killed. "but several successful bombing runs put scattered damage across the Raiden fleet that was simply too much for the logis to keep up with." as quoted from the article above.
