Busy afternoon for ROMANIAN-LEGION as they jumped into NRT4-U (Stain) and shot everything on sight. Being a NPC region, the only things to be reinforced were Staging/Production POSes put up by Stain residents, these were RF’d last Fridays and their timers were slated to come out during Sunday afternoon.

Yesterday ROMANIAN-LEGION formed up a fleet at a titan and bridged it into the first of these PoSes to come out of reinforcement, the fleet was an odd 100+ battleships, predominantly Abbadons sprinkled with many other flavors of racial Battleships (hence the RagCat name), Guardians provided the backup for this fleet as they began shooting the PoS.

The defenders reaction didn’t took long to kick-in as Out of Sight. [OoS.] alliance began calling for numbers and staged at the system’s NPC outpost.

ROMANIAN-LEGION then got the call of the undocking Out of Sight. fleet, composed mostly of Drakes and Scimitars, which RL proceeded to bubble-up. As the RagCats warped-in to the station, the OoS. fleet decided to engage, not taking into consideration the fact of being faced with a short range fleet, Out of Sight. was quickly decimated, those lucky enough to be able to dock-up went trough this “hell” one more time as the FC tried to force their way out of the sieged NPC outpost. Getting the message, the Our of Sight. fleet disbanded and local dropped quickly.

The ROMANIAN-LEGION returned to shoot the afore-mentioned PoS which went down without further eventualities, after which the ROMANIAN-LEGION scouts noticed the existence of another PoS, this time inhabited by an Out of Sight. Avatar class Titan, the fleet warp in and start grinding it. The Avatar tried to Doomsday the fleet, but after being repeatedly bumped by the ROMANIAN-LEGION fleet, they avoided this (actually this was a tactical error from the RL FC behalf). Apart from this and a couple of bombing raids the rest of the reinforcement went in quickly, after which ROMANIAN-LEGION returned to their Period Basis home.

What have we learned

Lesson learned for the Out of Sight. Fleet Commander.
– Never try to mass undock a fleet unless you goal is to crash the node, specially if they are at range (and they will)

For the ROMANIAN-LEGION Fleet Commander
– Losing a battleship is always a good trade-off against an opportunity to kill a titan, bumping it back into shields was maybe a bit shortsighted.

How much ISK do we need to send you to get you to stop calling fleets by the 'cat' moniker?

If you REALLY didn't want him to editorialize, or play with gimmicks, you could just get this info by sitting on evekill and spamming F5…. But deep down you like it, so here you are.

The article was a bit choppy but it was an enjoyable fight from the RL side. One thing to note, after the initial engagement an ROL pilot jumped in two JF's but failed to jump them out before the RL fleet aligned and warped back the the tower they were sieging. Out of Sight then managed to kill one of the JF's before being thrashed again by the RL fleet. This caused both sides to turn positive isk efficiency from the fight.

  9. The RL fc made a very good decision as the oh so friendly Raiden supercap blob was ready to hotdrop any supers engaged in killing the avatar. But then again – I was there – you were not.
