A video was send via drop-box about the fight we had just battle reported an hour ago which described the events that happened this past Sunday at the DL1C-E solar system of the Tribute region.

Raw Intel

I guess you can make a more convincing battle report from the info provided.

DL1C-E was the system in question. FC was Vee.

Eve-Kill Battle Summary <- the Fight. Goons and friends downed 2 super carriers and a few carriers + abandon fleet. We could have bail once the full supercap blob dropped around the end of the video but stayed committed to kill that wyvern. This doesn't bode well for NC./Radian. once the winter expansion hits. Youtube <----fight video and a good idea what a DC/goon fleet is like. Should show what happened as I wasn't there...Oh and the guy filming it gets out in his pod!!!!!!!! Fucking hero that dude...

Another Battlereport:

So there we were. A broadcast went up that one of the Goon systems was under attack by Northern Coalition. Under the command of Mister Vee a welpfleet was formed and within 10 min. we had an entirely full fleet sitting on a Titan, ready to go.

We were jumped into YLS8-J with over 300 hostiles in local and works to the Sovereignty Blockade Unit and started to kill it. As expected, the Northern coalition warped a large Abaddon fleet on top of us and we went to work. After killing over 8 billion ISK worth of shiny battleships for a negligible loss of welpcanes, NC dropped supers and titans on our fleet. We GTFO to a safe pos, then sat there while NC reinforced it. It took them almost an hour (fail). In the meantime there was entirely second round of people who had died in the first fights reforming and friendly space to jump back in when available. In this manner, even though we lost a lot of our ships, they were pretty much instantly replaced and our fleet was at full strength going into round two.

After the system had been entirely reinforced, including the goon Tower, NC split up and went in several directions. A good chunk of the NC fleet of sub capitals went to DL1C-E and Mister Vee decided to chase them. We caught and bubbled about six or seven Abaddons, and killed them quickly. While we were doing so, the other fleet pretty much landed on us at optimal in not enough numbers to really do anything severely bad to our fleet other than pop a few hurricanes. Then shit got real.

First, NC warped in about 15 triaging carriers to try to save their doomed Abaddon fleet. We started melting them, one at a time. I’m not entirely sure whether the super carrier warped in on us or jumped in on us, because I was concentrating on something else and I do recall seeing a Cyno pop up and then instantly get nuked by our fleet, but however it happened suddenly there was a Hel on field. The call for primary when out, and the next thing you know there were 200 swarming welpcanes neuting the crap out of the Hel and burning it into armor so fast it was unreal. Start to finish, the Hel went down in something like 3 min. Our scouts reported a massive super blob forming a system away; they were quite mad. Next thing you know, another cyno goes up and suddenly there were supers and titans everywhere. Mister Vee called for a primary on the Wyvern even though our fleet was quickly melting, and we were down under 200 welpcanes. It didn’t matter, we started ripping through the Wyvern’s shields. To be honest, few of us thought that we were going to take him down, as he was getting capital reps and ECM bursting was playing havoc with our DPS. But no, there it was, 4 minutes after we started shooting him, the Wyvern died, the second super carrier of the day to die to 50M ISK Hurricanes. Mister Vee called “every man for himself, get the hell out if you can” and we scattered as best as we could, most of us dying to blobs of drones from the remaining supers on the field.

But who fucking cares? The battle report is still trickling in, but as of writing this in round one we did over 8.5 billion ISK of damage for less than 2 billion lost, and in the second round we did an impressive 66 billion ISK worth of damage for less than 2 billion loss, nothing more expensive than a command ship. Welpfleet proved its theory today, doing exactly what it was designed to do, and doing so in great style. Even if we lost the entire fleet, the most we would’ve lost would have been around 13 billion ISK; far less than the cost of even one of the super carriers that we killed today.

It was a great day in the Clusterfuck.

Do you really think the winter expansion will change anything, we are already working for any change that might come.

Well, I guess the Welpfleet just proved any SC-nerf to be unneccessary. Supers can easily be countered by throwing a fuckton of cheap shit their way.
      What a surprise!

It's not really a counter because you need to have a lot more pilots than the other side to make it effective.

And probably only goons can bring a bigger blob than DRF

to kill a carrier u need many and to kill a super you need a bit more…its balanced….seems AAA cry babyes are getting the nerf expansion even thought its not needed….

I know. I was being a wee bit sarcastic.

Now think about this: what if nobody can counter Goon Welpfleets? Is it OK then to scream for a nerf of…well, goons? Canes? Big numbers? Just like everybody does now with SCs?
We're at "bigger numbers always win" all over again – be it Canes or SCs.

Quite. People have been crying for a blob nerf for ages. Particularly people who have less people flying with them than their enemies do.

As for the whole "bigger numbers always win" bit, it depends very much on what victory conditions constitute "winning". You could say that both sides achieved their objectives – Raiden. etc held the field and succeeded in their structure shoot, and Goons killed two supercarriers with some regular carriers thrown in for taste.

That's the cool thing about EvE, you can define your own objectives in the sandbox.

The one thing you have to appreciate about the Goons is that they have always been consitent about the "swarm" in their name – clouds of titsi flies nipping a buffalo to death. The ships change, but the tactic stays the same…

Nah. Goons won't try to have an ePeen contest with DRF. They've proven that they're too much of pussies to pull those out. They know they'd lose if the full force of DRF showed up on their front porch, not to mention the player cap per system limits the large scale fights so much. CCP really needs to start buffing their servers.

We shouldn't have to fill out a form saying we're going to attack this system. How many CCP members are in Goons, -A-, or DRF? I mean, seriously…

Why do NCDOT / Raiden / WN fanboys (basically the new NC) allways reasure themselfs by saying the DRF will have their back? RA, XDeathX and SolarFleet are NOT your allies any more.. you would do good to remember that. They may come and bail your asses out if shit hits the fans but… GSF&CO allready prooved to you that they are a threat that you take lightly.
Allways remember, the winter is comming…. soooner than you may hope.

I love how people think a super CAPITAL nerf is only going to affect super CARRIERS, and not the entire supercap line(which is both titans and supercarriers).

I guess its a very easy mistake if you aren't a native english speaker.

Actually, I've already heard what most of the nerf is about. EN24 summed it up, but there is a catch to it. The implants are bein' nerfed, slaves won't give you the full benefit as it would for a sub-cap. I believe slaves give 53% more armor with High-Grades, well you'll only get half.

The only people effected by Supercap nerf, will be Raiden. They don't know how to PvP with Subcaps, and you can't say "DRF Got its ass kicked" when it was only a % of DRF. IF WN, RA, SF, LoD, and others were all there. Then yes, you could say "DRF" got its ass kicked.

with titans on the field, it doesn't really matter. Welpfleet hurricanes are already to the point where they take near-full damage from battleship guns. The fleet doctrine depends on controlling the range of the engagement as well

your liek one of those retards who thinks that fitting an MWD to a logistics is a bad idea cause it inflates your sig radius.

Please grow a brain, moving at 1300m/s+ more than makes up for the increase in sig radius, and BS guns can track canes pretty wel already (well depends on the guns but most don't o too bad at tracking BC's)

The whole point is to get under teh batleship guns, and get transversal up, becuase abaddon particularly, have a bad falloff, meaning that if it is out of optimal or you can't track it the damge is severely reduced.

isnt the idea of the mwd to get in range? since welp canes use autocannons and neuts so they have to be in range. also really nice to get out of bubbles

sig radius, and speed, the 2 reasons why, also logistics, becuase tempests are harder to move around in HUGE numbers than hurricanes, i.e. can fit 10 canes in a carier as apposed to 2 tempests.

I need to admit though I hate Goons…great job – good FC – good fleet members.

This is one single proof why we dont need a SC nerf at all.

The I-win button as you call it is not the SC itself! Its the sandbox and the situation that DRF can drop the most of them. Thats all…get over it and play the damn game as it is meant to be played!!

SC must not be nerfed – just nerf the ability to drop them that easy and fast by every little crappy ship. Change game mechanics for the cyno needed for a super to jump in..easy as that.

If it would take at least 5 or better 10 minutes to get supers on the field we would get rid of solo hotdrops, low sec PL hotdrops and of course the hated regular I-Win hotdrop as defenders would get the ability to kill the "super-cyno" first…means if you want to drop supers you better have a decent support fleet with you.

Nerfing supers is just the wrong way as super caps loose their meaning of being a S U P E R caps!!!

Killing 1 or 2 Supers in a fleet of 50+ with Canes is really great, though we saw in that vid that Goon need to suicide a full fleet to achieve it.

Wonder how things would go if fighting in DRF space … you will never be able to fill enough canes in a system considering current game performance to do significant damage to a SC blob and hold the field to kill sov structures. -> Super blob wins anyway

your bad, if you dont' have 400 screaming retards in battlecruisers supers win every time, and last i checked almost no alliance, aside from goons, can muster 400 screaming retards in several minutes at short notice, hell alot struggle to get 50 at short notice, so yeah, they still need nerfing becuase the numbers that goons pulled were just unreasnoable for any other force in eve to duplicate.
