More than ever the southern conflict is certainly a complex one encompassing several regions and involving almost 50 alliances, HED fell 2 days ago (we are working in a well documented chronicle of it, please be patient guize) for today we’ll visit the Immensea region for the on-going conflict between the Imperial Legion led “-A-TEAM” and the RACO forcers.

Order of Battle

-A-TEAM had begun splitting fleets in an attempt to break up the attacking forces as HED-GP began spiralling into laggy madness. With the fall of HED, RA and friends began using the same strategy, SBUing and reinforcing systems of the smaller alliances in the -A-TEAM. A late night Imperial Order, drake army, US TZ fleet was formed to defend a system coming out of reinforce as well as to remove the SBUs in RU-PT9, with a capital backup fleet on standby.

The fleet had just finished off the second SBU when intel reported a RACO (Red Alliance, Controlled Chaos, Red Legion, ECLIPSE, Waterboard, etc) Abbadon fleet inbound. The Imperial Order fleet formed up in R1-IMO on the gate to head off the RACO fleet. The RACO fleet showed up on the ingate at a tactical (150+km off the gate) and the Imperial Order FC called for the scouts to get a warpin on their fleet. After a little bouncing around, one of the scouts finally got a spot on the RACO fleet. The Imperial Order FC was telling the fleet to prepare to jump when the RACO fleet warped to the gate.

Not sure whether it was an arty or pulse Abaddon fleet, betting on it being a pulse Abaddon fleet, the Imperial Order FC pulled the fleet off the gate to sit 50+km off to make use of the slight range advantage drakes hold over pulse Abaddons. The Imperial Order FC called for the carriers to jump in as the RACO fleet jumped in. In the best of situations, these lead to lag, unfortunately for the Imperial Order FC, his client lagged out, leaving disarray with his fleet. This led to a handful of early kills for the incoming RACO fleet. It became evident that the RACO fleet was using arty-Abaddons, so the drakes had no range advantage, so the Imperial Order fleet warped on top of the RACO fleet in hopes of getting in under the tracking range of the RACO guns. It worked well enough for the balance to shift in favour of the Imperial Order fleet. Three Imperial Order super-carrier jumped in to help kill off as many RACO ships as possible before they could flee, netting a few more Abaddon kills before the RACO fleet jumped out.

With the field cleared, the subcap fleet returned to RU-PT9 to continue killing the SBUs, while the carriers repped the station. After killing another SBU, intel reports the RACO fleet is heading back for another round. The Imperial Order fleet safes up at a POS. One of Imperial Order carriers was slow on the uptake and didn’t get into shields on time, so the RACO fleet falls on it. They pound it a bit, but fail to bump it, so it made it back into the shields.

The Imperial Order FC decided to be a hero and left the POS shields with a few logi in hopes of baiting the RACO fleet back for a fight. RACO took him up on the offer and sends a rapier to prevent him from getting back into the shields before the Abaddons can begin working on his buffer. The Imperial Order fleet engages as the POS begins onlining. The RACO fleet loses a few more ships, then bug out as the POS begins shooting back. Both fleets head home, bloodied, but happy. Good fights all around.

Noir. Mercenary Group Perspective

After our first run of carriers got jumped to Tenerifis I noticed a
CTA fleet being linked by MulaSoldats for 03:00 calling for alpha
fleet. It was around 04:00 when i started considering going, and
SpotlessBlade from UshraKhan convinced me we could still make it. So
i polled vent and S1. people to go form up. Total of our fleet was 3
Drakes, 1 Scimitar, 1 Maelstrom, 1 Manticore went from KW- to T6J to
link up to a 70 large alpha IO fleet about 16 jumps away.

Once we hit T6J, literally within minutes, intel channel reported a 40
man hostile Hellcat style fleet with a whopping 8 guardians + multiple
Curse rolling in. NMG. scout picked them up and after some trouble
initially was able to locate them on dscan. He was putting intel in
the fleet chat so the FC re-positioned to R1-IMO, the adjacent sys on
the opposite side of where our tiny portion of the fleet was holding.
Scout gave them positional info, the reds decided to jump into the
Imperial Order guys, and we raced across the system to catch up (yes,
which meant we in turn jumped point blank into a bunch of abaddons)

Upon jumping in, shit was CRAZY. MulaSoldats was FCing frantically
and ships were dying left and right. RED/ECLIPSE logi was holding for
a while but through a combination of forcing Guardians off the field
and target switching some ships started to drop. We had a carrier and
numbers advantage but the hostiles had more logi and were fit to
counter us (Mostly Abaddons vs Mostly Drakes). At one point the Drake
I was flying got taken to 10% shields before enough reps landed to
stabilize me, despite frantic overheating. At some point supers were
involved on the friendly side cause there were some ECM bursts. Fight
went about 20 very fast paced minutes with almost no lag to speak of.
Allies took losses but not that many, i think it came out to around
70% efficiency for the Tenerifis locals.

Caught a couple stragglers while we looted, but that wasnt the best
part of this night.

After the field was clear, FC moved us over 1 system into IO’s
Immensea beachead of RU-PT9 to overwatch logi repairing an ihub and to
kill an SBU. Scouts report the same fleet that attacked earlier had
reshipped and rolled out to us whereas we had lost a lot of people to
logging and few of the dead reshipping (down to 45 total and only 4
logi). Now if the same fleet comes back, you figure they have some
backup in the wings so we’re all thinking “IT”S A TRAP!” on Noir.
vent. FC ordered us to a safe tower. The hostiles warped a Rapier to
the undefended small tower to try to bait, but when their fleet warped
in they didnt manage to kill anything before it got back into the
shield. They warped off in a disorganized fashion but blue couldnt
get tacklers outside the shield fast enough to catch anything.

Then the FC did the single ballsiest, Charlie Sheen-like thing I have
see all year in EVE. He baited the hostile rapier back to the POS by
having our 4 logi and a handful of ships outside the tower to shoot
it. He advises everyone not wanting to fight to log out and the rest
to orbit tower at 5k. He calls primaries. I am personally very
confused, thought maybe he forgot to order us outside the shield to
fight. I zoom out to see what was going on and

Shield disappeared. Our fleet, the allied caps and supers, all
exposed. I was like “o snap, spai!” but locked the broadcasted
primaries and started fighting cause it felt like a do or die moment.
However it was not a spai it was MulaSoldats being a crazy son of a
bitch: intentionally offlining and reonlining the tower to give us a
surprise 15 minute window to kick some ass. And kick ass we did. The
supers/caps jumped out as the shield went down and the sub caps opened
up with a righteous fury, killing 9 while losing a lone frigate before
they fled the field (some of them were forceably ejected by the pos
shield coming back online)

Over 6.5bil destroyed plus the SBU.

Agreed, the IO/WTF fights are quite fun being around 40-70 person fights. No need for mass blobs.

  2. "The Imperial Order fleet engaged as the POS began onlining."

To clarify, the FC *offlined the tower* once he baited the RACO fleet to the shields and started the online timer right after. Element of surprise worked well for IO as the gamble paid off big. Tower itself wasnt much help; no guns.

My corp joined IO a day ago. I haven't even had a chance to move out there yet so it is a hard sell to claim I have loyalties already.

As for HED-GP, there is a fair amount more information to sift through for that battle report than this fight. I'm not aware of the 1DH battle, so if you have info, please send it in.

5 days ago (facts man your a reporter work with them don't make them up) so i'll give you that loyalties are hard to sell your right, however you are ex nc so i take it thats why your hating on drf, i mean you did post that the ateam would draw a line in the sand in hed.

you would think the 1st system drf has taken from -a- would be one of the top articles for en24 to get out after all it's not every day -a- loses a system to hostiles

considering HED's last 2 timers went without a fight its really not worth much news.

          3. Bagehi

I was SC for a long time before NC and before that we flew with Russians for a while. Going back further, I flew in IAC (who AAA stabbed in the back, then crushed). Before that, I was with a bunch of people who are now scattered in NCdot, PL, and a few smaller alliances.

I pew pew for fun and keep it on a game level, because in almost any major fight, I'm going to end up shooting a couple people I know. So, no hate directed at anyone from me. I really don't like super blobs though and that is self evident when I write about them, but that has nothing to do with the people fielding them.

Ateam did draw a line in the sand. DRF stepped over the line.

… again there are a decent number of bc's but decent cap numbers as well.

as far as the IO kb's yea they suck and never work right, thats admitted everyones kb misses kills and losses though. also eve kill has IO at 70% nto 60

The DRF pets are delusional…the KB pulls automatically by API and can't be edited. If we were really doctoring the KB, then we would remove the stupid JF losses that are responsible for the low efficiency. Pull out the JF losses, and the efficiency is quite good.

For the important engagements this week in Omist with DRF pets, I0 has come out on top in all of them…yeah, HED is a bad situation with DRF blobbing three-digit SC fleets, but no shit.

            66-PMM: (64%)

I could go on but there's no point. Sure there's a lot of BC in fleets but unless they're called as a specialty fleet, pilots gonna bring what they feel most comfortable flying. That's null/low and you know it.

          5. Frodo the BOBit

There's still more BCs than anything else in those links. Kitchen sink fleets won't get you guys very far

Imperial Oorder have major internal problems
Very true and we are very aware of the problems but the rage it builds we can use during our target practice (read WTF en friends).

          – They will see alot of people leaving them within next 2 weeks
True inactive people/corps are being removed

          – They have recruited everyone they can to get numbers up
True but that is not the main reason

          – unfortunately the people have joined have seen how poor their killboard is and how bad they are doing
Well they might have confused our kb with somebody else.

          – I for one can validate that becuase IO have not got the brains to check corps history and realize that they have recruited some good friends of mine
Don't let the italians hear this.

          – They have amassed alot of noobs that much they have had to hire Noir
We didn't hire anyone we just bring a fight and gain respect

          – fortunately for us this will not affect our aims and IO will fail

TBH, I have no idea what you mean by "breaking your chain" We shot exclusively at BC's and BS's except for a scimi that was primaried once. August 18, 2011 at 3:17 pm Reply
    1. Parts

I can't speak for IO nor their FC's motives behind fleet comp. All I can tell you is what I've seen so far which dispels the assertion that IO is incapable of fielding anything other than BC's in significant numbers. They can field other, they do when called for (historically) and they have the skillpoint pool there to utilize them. Obviously every alliance has IBIS OF DOOM scrubs and whelpfleets but that fact doesn't nor shouldn't dictate large alliance fleet doctrine. Just isn't the case here.

Again, I'm just working off what I've seen in our short tenure alongside IO.
