This is a good example of the usefulness of fraps as this story’s claims wouldn’t be able to be confirmed otherwise, HUN Reloaded dropped it like it’s hot on a The Remnant Legion fleet which had taken the bait from a cyno-carrier they put on, it took them an hour to get it but nevertheless a good catch for them. It all happened in the Irmalin solar system of the Khanid region.

Here is the original order or battle according to our source:

The Hun Reloaded partially come from Khanid and still have some roots there, so after some annoying ppl (BOAE INC) moved into the area, and started to drop supers left and right, we were prepared to trap some of their supers. We started from Delve, tried to hotdrop something in 1-SMEB area, but no success.

We went to range of the target system by foot then, and wait for the opportunity. After about an hour, they warped on our bait carriers, landed 30km off with 2 Chimeras, 1 Archon and 2 Nyx. Our carrier opened a cyno and the fleet was bridged in. We started to hit their carriers first, but the 2 chimera was managed to escape due to the lack of tackling, so we started to work on the archon, which probably went to triage but its died very fast anyway.

HICs spread points on the 2 Nyxes, and started to hit primaries. About in half armor the first Nyx was started to self destructing and exploded before reach structure. The secound nyx was self destructed in early armor, and exploded in half armor. One of the pilot was podded, they had T2 fit from loot history.

With the bridging home we catched a poor hurricane only, then head home.

Here is the proof sent by the HUN Reloaded guys, the first Nyx self-destructs at 08:40.

The funnest thing about this story is I was on BOAE public room when they said they were joining this alliance and I told them it was a pretty bad idea, just from what you can see that has happened to the SOB that came from RAGE corps. So I am pretty happy right now, serve them right ;p. Ofc I did not predict that this would happen but I do not mind claiming so ;pp

I understand t why they self-destruct but personally don't like people doing it and ccp should allow killmails when someone self-destruct if say all shields are taken out. They should have just taken the rape and smiled. Because its the risk you take when you yourself hotdrop others, that it can happen to you.

So props to Huns for a successful trap.

    1. The Whole self destruct issue should be addressed by CCP, if anyone finds itself in the same situation a image capture of the wreck + loot log + pod killmail is always welcomed.

I don't mind the self-destruct tool, since its used in many other ways but when you get caught out, I think people should get a kill-mail. I would even say keep the timer that you have to wait before it self-destruct but if you loose all your shields then the self-destruct is stopped, so it forces the reds to bring a even bigger fleet to do the job correctly. This would make a fairer system thats more balanced that the current system.

Or removing supers and Titans from destructing at all.

Because I think we all agree that it was a good trap and they deserved a kill mail from it.

I agree that the self-destruct thing is crappy but it is part of the game and the fact that said player loses a ship as punishment. Fortunately, not many people do this I hope.

    2. Huh?

What does SOB/RAGE have to do with RMT? And then more specifically, what does HUN catching on to what BOAE was doing in the area have to do with their decision to join the alliance?

I don't know much about the situation, but a quick scan of alliance histories shows that RMT is all ex-WIDOT except for BOAE

My point about SOB was, SOB as an alliance are failing, they rushed to create an alliance and made some stupid mistakes, their already loosing corps. I also predict that will happen to these guys alliance also. Because they might get to 1000+ members but they are all NC corp, large and mostly inactive compared to what the claim to have. They won't fleet any decent numbers.

even Wrecking Shots never joined these guys and they have a proven track record of a lot of supers. overall Remnant Legion will fail.

        1. SOB is failing because it was made up of bad RAGE corps that were responsible for RAGE being terrible, that then for some reason thought they could grab sov in Red Alliance's backyard while it was deployed in the north. No one was surprised when they got their teeth kicked in, and not many players will stick around after losing all their sov twice in the span of a month.

As for RMT, I think they'll be alright. Lyonesse and NoX are solid corps with good leadership, and I'd bet solid money that those two corp's leadership (Bobbeh and Adame specifically) are running the show.

It should be a requirement for a supercap pilot to have the balls to admit when theyre beat and take it like a man.

from what ive heard on the grape vine HUN had used an exploit to get their fleet in by drifting a cyno into their POS as well as drifting their repping carrier into the POS while in triage.

so yah props to HUN for game exploits.

    1. o'rly?

Come on, look at the video, they are on the edge of a pos besides the Titan initially. Once they jump, again, they are outside of a POS. How stupid would be of them to fraps/publish the kill if they were using exploits? They set the trap, the 2 SCs fell for it and tried to save face by self-destructing. Too bad it was all being recorded. Truth is, they tried to pull a PL-style hot-drop on a 'noob' carrier and got their asses handed to them.

    onSelfDestruct = new function() { mailKillmailTo(allInvolved.Sort(damagedone)[0])}

i preatty much think if they where organized and the carriers wouldv sacrificed on the field, the 2 nyx couldv survived (by delloging)… this video is 12 mins long … at least 1 nyx wouldv escaped… dumb call from pilots/fc("scatter in all directions to save your own ass" command was given?!?!)

you seemed to have missed the part where the carrier floated inside the pos shield and thus using a game exploit to light the cyno for the titan bridge.

    Trust me.. i was there.

the vid clearly shows the cyno practically on the very edge of the POS shields, with a carrier inside the shield.
So yes they did post a vid that can be contested as to showing the use of exploits, but as no overview info shows where the cyno is and what ships are near it its hard to say for certain. im pretty sure the 2 nyx pilots would have had the time to put together overviews to show whats going on on that field and screenshot it before self-destructing.

either way it looks dodgy :/

Actually one of the carrier was in triage and because it and the speed it was went in to the shields, but not that one opened the cyno. (archon was went in to ff, pilot failed to stop before start triage repping the mods) The cyno thanatos was out of ff till the end of cyno and sent fighters.

If u watch the video u will see that thanatos is outside.
