ClusterFuck coalition with NC elements has used Saturday to massively reinforce IT infrastructure over whole Fountain. Under the leadership of RAWR FC Imperian, 30 plus various towers, IHUBS and outposts have been reinforced for the first or second timers. No defenders have shown up.

For the Fountain residents it means the last train is coming probably to pick them up. For IT, we don´t know. But after recent events and after losing thousand+ of members lately, if they couldn´t turn the tide before, they won´t be for sure now. The interesting part could be – how is gonna be the pie divided between all the entities.

Warfare in Eve is fascinating. I really thought that IT could drag out the Fountain campaign for months but as Mittani said in his latest article, it's all psychological. Obviously IT and Fountain pets have lost the will to resist and now a whole region implodes.

If Clusterfuck had to rape cage systems, one at a time ala 6VD, it would be very difficult to take Fountain. It took 5-6 days of total commitment to take 2 station systems, 6VD and 7BX. This effort if needed to be ongoing, would burn out most alliances. Locking down 6VD meant that the majority of active Clusterfuck pilots didn't do anything for a week except log in and chill – I've got to say that it's a boring exercise.

I guess the thing that attackers forget is the effect of "burnout" on the enemy, sure we were bored, but we were winning, whereas failing to stop 6VD falling obviously gutted IT and pets and now the campaign moves into a mop up phase.

I wonder what IT fan bois like Storm have to say now.

    1. People don’t seem to get the effect of the hell camp of 6vdt, sure we would have liked to get some SC killmails but no one will ever log in if there is a chance to get tackled and killed. The point was to show to the standard IT member who had committed half of his personal resources into 6vdt that the alliance wasn’t willing to fight for him the way he was willing to fight for the alliance. It was a gamble that paid off. IT is now dead and we have no real enemies left.

      1. The camp, though often made fun of and characterized as something unnecessary, the Camp on 6VDT will go down as the straw the broke the camel's back.

The proverbial camel's back was broken long before 6vdt siege. It was broken before pnqy or even before goons invaded fountain. The camel's back was broken when IT chose to defend INIT instead of backing AAA. Lots of people in IT viewed AAA as "buddies next door" and killing them was wrong.

That important decision was also *apparently* made without CEO consultation. The internal strife then caused the alliance to disintegrate. If IT had the same motivation and leadership drive it had at the beginning of its campaign vs. PL in Fountain, Goons would have had no chance.

Additionally, as I've said long before, it was a big mistake for IT to attack Ev0ke and friends. Ev0ke was a great buffer vs. goons. Lots of GF could have happened if IT supported Ev0ke vs. CF and NC.

Anyway people, enjoy the great peace in 0.0. The NC+CF have 1/2 of eve and the Russians the other half. Get your macros out!

It's not boring when you have great discussions going on in voice chat and some of the most disturbing images being linked in chat.

Makes for an oddly good time.

Good comment, but you're missing the value of 6VDT.

It wasn't to take 6VDT. It was a demonstration. "We can beat you, all day, every day". IT called many formups initially and either called them off or died in a fire. Naturally this further reduced the turnout at subsequent formups.

Today, they have none. Only the Huns are giving organized resistance. As far as I can tell BLAST seem to be leading IT pilots more than the other way around.

To reiterate: 6VDT wasn't about military strategy. There were valid counters available to IT. The play was that they were dysfunctional enough not to attempt them. That they didn't attempt them was a clear message to the IT membership that their alliance is broken.

You are a wee bit clueless about EVE sov warfare.
Everyone knows that sov warefare in general can be boring, can be frustrating. I will tell you the secret: the main driving point of 0.0 warfare is not a pew-pew. It’s all about changing the EVE, achieving global and local goals.
You think it’s boring to perform 23/7 camp? Not at all when you know that your enemy is locked down inside the system, feels helpless and defeated. Mittani is 100% correct when he says it’s all about psychological warfare.
In the EVE you don’t kill people. The only thing that you can kill is a will to fight.

While it may have been boring for subcap pilots, capitals were active every day shooting POS and taking down infrastructure and were able to move about without the need to have subcaps on the field.

In retrospect you're right that IT was finished before the Fountain campaign, but from the perspective of Clusterfuck grunts, we had no idea how bad it was for IT. They were managing 200 ship fleets with cap support in their tz, every time we'd reinforce something they'd undo the damage and vice versa.

Honestly Fountain could have been held if IT had kept their nerve, the NC hot drop on their supers for me was the turning point, that's when they decided to stop committing their cap fleet. How stupid, they have supers to burn but use them as though they are the most precious resource in the game. What is the point of having them if they stay docked? Even though we were at a massive super disadvantage, IT's refusal to use them negated their only game winning advantage.

Plus don't forget with PL in our backyard that also seemed like a potential disaster for us. PL have destroyed many other alliance's campaigns. Clusterfucks decision to sacrifice CSAAs and refuse to return to Deklein, showed to me that PL is primarily successful if the tears from care bears override military objectives.

      Mostly This ^^

Dark-Rising leaving Fountain collapsed the IT JB network into the region. DC and Co. did an excellent job of taking advantage of this to get a foothold in the region. IT couldn't (wouldn't) get from Catch to Fountain before PNQY was in final timer and when they got there were out-numbered, out-FC'd, and out-manuevered at virtually every turn. IT wouldnt use the supers because of the threat of NC doing just what they finally did (negating any advantage they might have had). You dont have to be on the field to affect the outcome.

With Finfleet and X13 refusing to get involved and then finally leaving, the alliance leader moving, and other RL commitments taking precedence, there was noone capable/willing to step forward to lead the alliance.

I asked in another article why it was taking DC so long to take Fountain. You have now figured out the answer; you could have done this weeks ago.

IT has been dead for longer than that.

      1. My Thought

The reason IT lost and is now going to fold is because of one battle and one decision. The battle was when PNQ came out of it's last timer and the decision was for IT to field Armor HACs. Goons only had 200 more people then IT in that battle but what won it for them was the Alpha off their Maelstroms. If IT had been in Maelstroms also and used the 20 Titans they had in 6VDT they would of saved PNQ and Goons would never of gotten their foothold in Fountain. If you will remember at this time PL was still in Venal and the NC couldn't of brought their Supers to help Goons against IT's Supers.

Err, Dark-Rising leaving did not kill the JB network. IT only needed to anchor a POS with a mod on it, and a small mod at that. The sov remained.

AFAIK, Dark left because the alliance was disintegrating and they didn't want to be the ones getting hit in the ass by that swinging door.

I find it interesting that the Goons are attempting to cause friction within the NC by telling some elements that they are not wanted in the area yet using others to give help.

It's actually a classic way of causing rift's within entities that are not 100% stable anyway. Chatter has been heard within a couple of the NC entities about how unhappy they are with the way it is all being carried out.

So will the NC fall for that tactic from a group of people that have proven before just how untrustworthy they can be, even towards the NC.

Is there turmoil on the horizon for the NC & the many creations of the Goon alliances time will tell….

Nope. If you look at the influence map from long ago MM and RZR have always been. The NC doesn't do drama. Were just simple carebears. I'm in MM and I do think that 0.0 could get a little weird with 3 entities, but that just means we win the game. Everyone else fails. I do think more NPC 0.0 should be added so that other smaller entities can get a foothold because they will never be able to just go out to 0.0 on there own in real sov holding space. Still NC/DC/CF are the sex and always will be. Remember that eve.
