A very strange things can still happen in Eve Universe. Once enemies till death, Curatores Veritas Alliance (CVA) happily accepted Against All Authorities (AAA) support in taking northern part of Catch from The Initiative. and their associates.

CVA conquered sofar the whole NNLX-K (Catch) constellation, which is right nest to their space in Providence. AAA makes a smart move by utilizing the space they really didnĀ“t need and building a buffer zone between them and Ev0ke., NCDOT and Not Found. coalition. CVA gets a strong ally that can help them to start reconquesting their lost territories.

The biggest problem is CVA lack of other allies and also their low active versus the size of the alliance. Housing many long time veterans, its maximum potential seem to be around 60-70 men fleets with several supercapitals. Despite this, CVA shows as one hell of resistant and consistent enemy, having the same goals and targeting the same region for years now. No moving goals or else.

Seeing AAA and CVA supercapitals together would be impossible only few weeks ago. It proves, that there are no infinite enemies in Eve and that every alliance leader has to be quit flexible and pragmatical in his approach.

AAA doesn't house the failed Minmatar RP alliance anymore. There's no RP reason to fight them.

Well if roleplayers always play according to what's practical and logical, then it seems to me they are then just normal players who chuck "Amarr Victor" in local. I respect RP where people do things that is sub-optimal for their ease of play but they do it anyway because they are in character.

But I'm not a roleplayer myself, so I'm probably barking up the wrong tree.

Might be a good idea to have a think about what sort of thing the 'slaver lord' Amarrian race would not do. 'realpolitik' is very Amarrian. In general Amarrians aint as nice as the ones in CVA.

Look at history, CVA didn't pick a fight with AAA …. LFA did. AAA always offered CVA a truce in exchange for a promise that CVA would never backstab AAA.

CVA did not take that offer. Maybe Aralis was a bit too cocky for his own good (nooo, that would never happen…)

    1. CVA maneuvered LFA to initiate the first phase of expanding. Spearhead.

AAA offered CVA a return to pre conflict conditions. Nothing more, nothing less.

Aralis was caught between a rock and a hard place. CVA had to – in his view – start operating on the realpolitik level of other spaceholding alliances, in spite of its status and that of Providence up to that point. He made a plan, it failed. It happens.

I don't know why this myth refuses to die. CVA have stated publicly numerous times they supported and okayed LFA to "spearhead" the invasion. The only thing open to debate is the timing.

This is actually not fully truth. AAA and CVA agreed to a truce half way into the war, but the next day AAA just continued its attack on POSs.

Remember when CVA got hacked, and lost all it’s space? AAA stood by them and made damn sure that no one took away their favorite game preserve. As mentioned above, -A- even offered to let CVA hit the reset button AFTER the invasion. How often does THAT happen in EVE?

Once UK left the picture, CVA and AAA had no reason to hate each other. Thus, they work together to reestablish the old status quo, or as close as they can get. Hardly a surprise for anyone who knows anything about either alliance.

"Maybe Aralis was a bit too cocky for his own good (nooo, that would never happen…) "

On the other hand, at least we in AAA know that Aralis will stick to his guns and his group will not disband at the first sign of pressure. When a group loses its space and everything seems hopeless and its members still stick around, THAT is a reliable core.

Aralis wasnt leading CVA at that time when the whole Catch invasion debacle happened. Lonewolfnight was the executor of the alliance and had been for close to half a year. He had a medal and lengthy posts fetish but leadership wise total zero.

LFA was itching for more territory and had their leadership pursue the matter alot in private vt and other medium convoes with Lonewolfnight. Aralis that stubborn goat would never have agreed to that shit but Lonewolfnight was way more pliable. So when shit finally happened CVA had to stand behind their allies LFA because the holder agreement bound CVA aswell to protect it's "pets". From the pov of regular grunt this whole shit came as wtf out of the blue surprise.

After the D-GTMI massacre Aralis wrestled control back from Lone with majority of corp leaders vote. It all got served to members as Lone had "real life" issues and other bullcrap. I never thought I would see a character assasination in such context or rather character suicide. So nowadays Lone is nothing more than an rarely seen ceo of a dead corp of alts and inactives and manages cva's web assets.

There never has been much of a grudge or anything between CVA and AAA ever. Manny though had alot of bone to pick with CVA, no matter what he says, due to some embarrassments before he joined AAA.

We had some planned catch the flag fights with CVA years back so there was never any "hate" between AAA and CVA.
A respected enemy and one helluva roaming grounds in Provi back in the day.
But it was utterly unthinkable to allow LFA expand into Catch and the "return to sanity" offer was made on several occasions, in secret to anyone in CVA leadership even after D-G.
But Arails flat out denied it.

Awesome… CVA needed -A- to shot an undefended TCU?

INIT. left catch/tenerifis/immensea couple of weeks ago when DRF first showed up in immensea. The space is literally abandoned and free for everyone.

So, why is this so-called newsportal still reporting every single system that switched ownership? Who are you, Mr. van Hood? A carebear journalist, that is bored with doing L2 missions and making up stories from dotlan/verite maps? Go, get out for the interesting stories…

And yes I'm somewhat related to Init. On the other hand, I'm right.

The main FCC in AAA today, Makalu, was the main FC of CVA back then. Maybe that could be the reason why they can trust each other? It all comes down to the people involved.
