Someone decided that CCP hasn’t been getting enough attention on Tranquillity and there is need for more drama. As most readers already know, 6VDT-H (Fountain) is camped by the ClusterFuck coalition and all IT towers have been reinforced and rapecaged (for those that don´t know the term; it means setting up mobile warp disruptors, preferably T2 large ones just outside the tower shields so the bubbles covers the whole area inside, this prevents enemy supercapitals/capitals from jumping out and catches subcapitals outside the shield for easy ganks).

Today something odd happened, something which has never happened in the whole time of Eve since interdiction bubbles were introduced. Most of the bubbles in system were removed right after downtime by GM´s in system. This opportunity was promptly taken advantage of by IT supercapitals, of which at least two have been reported to have logged back in and jumped out of system. No explanation has been given so far.

Lead GM XXXXXXX here. We are investigating this matter but need some more info from you guys. Can you give us exact timestamps for when those bubbles were on-lined and by whom exactly please?

Please update with requested information and we will have this matter sorted out as soon as possible.

Best regards,

XXXX Game Master
EVE Online Customer Support

When asking a pilot in charge of the logistics setting up the bubbles in 6VDT he said, “wtf keeps timestamps on bubbles?” I hope there is a good explanation from CCP or declaration, that this is not allowed anymore. However the timing is very suspicious and makes many people believe, that the link between IT and CCP still hasn´t been cut.

Either way, this GM intervention clearly changes the rules landscape. The last thing we want to see is biased GM behaviour and sudden inconsistency in judgement and explanation of game mechanics. As what today is allowed, such as using warp disrupt bubbles, can be deemed exploit tomorrow.

This creates a rubber law to be exploited by anyone, and players have no idea what might await them.

When the IT bubbles were removed from a gatecamp, IT was told it was for intentionally producing lag. They had stacked something like 30 bubbles right on top of each other on a gate (not spread out for optimal coverage, but literally all next to each other(. PL petitioned, got the bubbles moved, IT was told not to stack bubbles like that.

Here, bubbles around supercap towers mysteriously unanchored during downtime, and 4 supercaps (2 titans, 2 SCs) that logged in immediately after downtime, and several hours before the IT formup, managed to jump out before the bubble situation could be remedied. The bubbles which failed had been in place for more than a day already. Bubbles did not fail around the station, subcap POSes, or stargates. Only the bubbles around the capital & supercapital POSes.

If it was an innocent glitch, it sure as hell couldn’t look much fishier.

So during that time, IT went and hit the station services, while goons/test/widot/nc went upstairs to their parents and cried because they thought IT had exploited

Are you a good one? Or do you just really hate IT? you should know then that interpritation of laws as well as the laws them selves are alwas subject to change. How an individual interperates the laws is most of what being a law is about, i.e. convincing the judge or jury that your sides interpretation is the corect one. This could very likley be a matter of a GM deciding that this instance violate one of the rules, and was unfair, which may very well set a new president for the rules of eve, but does not nessiarly mean unfair favoritism towards IT. If one GM was playing favorites, it also does not mean that CCP as a whole or even a majority does so.

What I do notice is the difference in attitude to said bugs.I never saw threadnaughts the likes of this when it came to the bugs that helped anyone else, seems to me these bugs are more of ‘golden egg’ for the Goons to bring up the properganda machine to brainwash more sheep into believing this conspiracy theory crap.

Whether CCP likes a group of players or not has nothing to do with what could be going on here.

In the past it has been proven that certain elements within CCP see it fit to give help to certain player entities ingame & that is crap.

It will put new people off from playing & it will be the last straw for a lot of people that went through the same sort of crap in the past.

IF the same thing is fond to be going on this time round then maybe its time for the people involved to lose all their sov holdings & assets (The GM involved gets sacked) to show the rest of the player base that this sort of special protection is not tolerated.

Anyway like many others if there is any more of this sort of crap I will be reconsidering whether continuing to play EVE is what I want to do. Whats the point of paying hard earned $$$$ so the GM’s can help certain entities cheat?

But if they left eve where would they go? they have no social lives, maybe they could go to WoW…wait, they have already been banned from that. So if they left eve their lives would be pointless

Its a pretty common co-occurrence that mobile disruption bubbles tend to offline straight after DT.
We have had it a few times doing the same against our Foes.

I suspect that DC/Goons etc were so surprised that this happened to them is more due to the fact that its a rear occasion where they have the ability to rapecage their adversaries over DT.
Take that as a cheap shot from a bitter IT vet if you wish, all I’m glad for is that I was able to take advantage of it and jump my carrier out.
Its a pity (and I’m kicking myself for lack of fore thought) that I didn’t take my 2 T3 and handful of T2 cruisers out of the stations.
Still the bright side. The CCP fail on Dreads meant I had removed those several weeks earlier. :) Still doesn’t mean they are useful for anything, but at least I can still refine and reclaim their mineral value.

  43. Greetings,

Lead GM Fktover here. We have investigated this matter and have found that the bubbles were causing excessive lag in system and not allowing players who had logged at the pos to log back in safely. For a short time the bubbles were disabled to allow those with problems to log in to leave the system. If you have any issues with this please do not hesitate to contact us about this matter.

    Best regards,

    1. Do you offer supercaps pilots to respawn in sobaseki (Lonetrek) when the number of players in 6VDT-H is too high?

Just report that pos with shit ton of object in it , even cans, ships whatever is creating a lag , in 30 minutes Gm can remove nearly everything except the ships and onlined pos modules.

Only use magic sentence “they are creating lag by deploying excessive number of cans/bubbles/ships” and gm come very fast to “remove lag” .

There is no Gm that can tell how many objects can be on grid, they always answer “there was to much” .

Unlike other CCP departments our logs do not show nothing and we are conducting a serious & efficient investigation into this great eve matter.
