The Day IT stood Still
IT – The Alliance formely known as Band of Brothers (BoB)
Argentina – Long term CEO of Reikoku RKK
Ciryath Al’Darion – FinFleet leadership member.
The Supremacy (refered as The Sup) – X13 leadership in charge of FC command
Political turmoil stirs from within IT alliance leadership as two leading corporations have issued a five point ultimatum to the rest of the IT alliance leadership. The meeting of X13 corporation coincided with a day of major losses for IT in Fountain, which pushed things over the edge.

Within the IT Forums, X13 and FinFleet CEOs have stood against the directorate demanding a total overhaull of the IT managerial culture. The post in question, which was leaked to Kugutsumen, shows a long and somewhat tiresome accusative rant highlighting the latest shortfalls from IT alliance as a whole.

FinFleet and X13 are assets of great importance to IT alliance not just because of their current super-capital fleet capabilities (possibly the biggest super-capital holders in game per-capita corp-wise), but also they are regarded by many outside IT as the only competent corps left active in IT Alliance.

The leak comes to us with no introduction, or background surrounding the last two months of internal within IT. It is mentioned in the leak that just within the last 20 days a count of 22 super-capitals have been constructed by X13/Fin. The leak goes on to talk about SirMolle’s trip to America, changes made during the appointment of a new delegate team to run IT (CEO’s close to Molle), how issues escalated during the forum discussion and the results of the heavy handed decision making by the team delegated by him during his trip.
For the past two months we have felt that we have been held at gunpoint, being forced to slowly swallow all the shit being tossed around, knowing that we are unable to act. Reasons unknown to us, you assumed we would forgive, forget and let everything be. You assumed wrong. Within the last 20 days we (FINFL and X13) have completed 22 additional supercapital hulls, and the final two titans came out today. The tables have turned, and the gun is now in our hand, pointing at your frontal lobe as we have nothing to lose.

It has now been roughly two months since Gay Mitch decided his level of importance gave him the right to order Molle to shut down the first FC based leadership channel. Only a handful of corporations stood beside Molle. For us, this was the turning point. This alliance lost the only binding force it had when the authority of Molle was being questioned. This on its own leaves this alliance in a position where it will not be able to function as it needs to.

The agreement was made that the FC team would have a second go at leading the alliance, this time without all of the emo rage and CEO drama. Supremacy from X13 was set to lead it, and whilst Molle was still stationed in Sweden, everything went extremely well. During the first Fountain campaign against NCdot and co, structured op schedules, euro-us time zone interaction and actual thinking and planning enabled us to have our first major capital fight victory and supercapital kills since Kings operation against PL. The attendance numbers for combat operations were skyrocketing, there was a clear, simple and effective structure on how things were arranged. People loved it.

You, my dear fellow CEOs did not. Behind the scenes, meddling between disgruntled but useless CEOs started. They felt like candy that they never even had to begin with had been taken from them. So you struck, with Argentina holding the torch high with others peaking behind his shoulders giggling. Whilst Molle was sitting in the airport leaving to the states, you decided it was the perfect time to strike. Legendary posts such as the one from Argentina to the FC team leader (who had been appointed directly by Molle) – “Don’t let the door hit your ass on your way out”. Such an classy line, Argentina. This combined with such petty demands such as “I want minutes from every meeting, delivered to me on my TZ, so I can change and decide what I want or what my corp shall do.”, an interesting and peculiar demand from the same person who said “I realize some people have more time for reading backlogs than I do, but my opinion on backlogs is simple ‘fuck that’ I have better thigns to do with my day”.
In regards to the delegation of powers from SirMolle to the CEO delegation and the subsequent shunning of leadership FC channels, it is mentioned that it effectively diminished the leverage from active FC into IT’s decision making process and subjecting them into IT’s CEO approval, having a direct impact on the overall alliance performance, which is shown in this series of convos:

Argentina – CEO of Reikoku:

The Sup, I expect you to keep minutes of the meetings (or have someone else keep them) and post those minutes for CEOs to see. 24 hours later, go on ahead and act on those minutes, taking into account whatever comments you have found.

The Sup:

That is simply not gonna happen!

I suggest that the new team leader should be one of the ACTIVE ceo’s in this alliance. Cause I am simply not gonna spend all my evening battling in fleets and then on the forums and IRC afterwards. All I hear is whine atm.

Argentina:

If this is prompting you to quit because you are incapable of asking someone else to take minutes, have them posted and wait for 24 hours, then please don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Ciryath Al’Darion:

Are you this blind? The things the new FC team has been able to do have been the best for the alliance since forever. There hasn’t been a succesfull hotdrop done by IT ever before against our hostiles. Even during later bob days hotdrops were shit that someone did to us. Now that we have dedicated team you want to push them back to doing dull things, make eve like 2nd job.

You dont want them to drown into shitty details just because you live on different tz. You want this to happen, send one of your euro guys to attend and provide you minutes. I’m pretty sure there is someone in your corp that is able to write stuff down and email it to you.

PS. Maybe there is a difference here, some are trying to push the alliance into being better, while some are interested only of how their corp wallet looks like.

The “Catch”

One of the main complaints of the leak is directed at events and operations during the Catch campaign. There was low if any commitment from Reikoku corporation in the deployment of super-capital ships, giving no reason of why they refused even when SirMolle requested.
So whilst Molle was sitting on a plane to the states, with approval from this forum, you decided to fuck everything up. This forum took over the leadership of this alliance from Molle. Beforehand, Molle had done all the demanding work of getting people in place, sorting plans, winning wars and all that goes with that. None of you had the balls or capability to do so, but wanted to grasp for the power regardless.

When we set out on the Catch campaign there was lackluster support from half of the CEOs. This combined with the absolute refusal from RKK to move any supercapitals over without even being willing to give any reason for withholding them, even when directly asked by Molle was the final nail the coffin. We would have no war in Fountain and Initiative would not be dead if you had not undermined the FCs leadership capacity. Even knowing we did not have the numbers to push through Catch fast enough the membership loved it. Supercapitals were successfully used daily by competent FCs and there was a good, firm FC structure.
A “Fountain” of Headaches

Things did not got any better once the move from Catch to Fountain was made, which takes us up to present. The dissenting corporations blame the leadership for the shortcomings of the whole coalition from the first operation, the defense of PNQ and then for a continued series of amateur mistakes throughout the whole campaign.

Fleet participation seemed to be affected by this, with members going even to the extreme of simply “not logging in.”
When we returned from Catch to Fountain, all of the old FC leadership structure was pushed away and you took control with the results we can now see. From the first operation, the defence of PNQ, the campaign has made constant amateur mistakes in planning, FCing and continuation. This has been caused by your arrogance and an unrelenting thirst for power whilst being unable to deliver anything of use, not even starting and leading just a small fleet.

The only people who are losing out are the members of this alliance, those who are dedicated to a point where so many of them still log in even though the poor leadership leaves little but frustration for them. It has been loss after loss, all of you incapable of doing anything. The members hate it to the point of not wanting to log in, as evidenced by dwindling participation numbers.

The painful result of all this has been seen over the past two months. This forum has led the war with horrible results. Fleet sizes are down substantially and we are losing stations. There is very little co-ordination happening between FCs, members or CEOs. All the personalities able to lead our members ingame are gone or have been stripped of any power they had. You were told by us and by Molle that this was the pathway to total failure. But, you decided not to listen. You decided not to take any action. You sided with other power hungry CEOs in this forum with the belief you could sort this out. You could not.

The only ones who can are those who are there daily in front of our guys, who are competent and willing to put the effort forth. Everything is like it was told here, none of you have posted any ops, none of you have planned anything. You are just sitting in a ring thinking you are all powerful and important. You are not.

A minority of you have stood there with the members. Dying with them, winning battles, losing battles or in a very small number of cases, leading them. For the past two months we have painfully watched this forum lead, with results comparable only to the historical examples set by Fountain Alliance or Ascendant Frontier. That is how low our performance has gone during leadership of this forum.
After praising the participation of a small minority of the alliance member base, they delivering the final shocker:

The Five Point ultimatum on IT alliance: listed and commented on bellow

1. The full restoration of the FC leadership structure. Furthermore, every CEO will be stripped of their power to lead the alliance. All decisions regarding ingame alliance matters are given to the fleet commanders who will sort out a leader for campaigns amongst themselves if Molle is unavailable. This leader can then decide their own FC team for the campaign.

You can send your representatives who are alliance FC level, but nobody who is not active in leading fleets will have a say in anything regarding the operations of this alliance. This includes politics, combat or policies. The role of the CEO should simply be to care about your own corporation and ensure that your corporation participates in alliance operations and in ensuring the wellbeing of this alliance via your own FCs. If you wish to alter alliance politics, you can do so through your FCs in the leadership channel. The CEO title is just an internal corporation title from now on.

This first point is interesting and fitting, they are basically running out the leadership from the seat at gun point, from almost every level of the alliance. The second paragraph reveals that for anyone to enact any possible change in the alliance, it would require active FC’ing to have some leverage on the called “FC ally leadership”, calling for an absolute meritocracy on alliance level.

2. The bloat within this alliance absolutely must go. No more situations where it is tolerated that a corporation has absolutely ridiculous numbers of characters that never show up on the field. All special rights for there to be an “empire side” section of a corporation and such are ridiculous. Only people who are active and in fleets can have their alts in your corps. We don’t care how important some oldschool figures are for you or whatever other excuse you might have for bloated numbers, cut it down. We are perhaps an alliance of 3,000, not an alliance of 6,000.

This part is interesting and revealing too. IT alliance often boast of having the largest memberbase with over +5600 members, yet there is a call to “cut the fat and just leave the good stuff”, renouncing that 50% of the alliance is either inactive or ineffective.

3. Every corporation will think of the alliance first, corporation second when achieving goals. If you cannot provide alliance level FCs who are capable and willing to lead, you will be without a say until you get such people in your corp.

Self explanatory, “no scratch not snatch”

4. The alliance culture needs to change. We are currently acting like this is a family-values alliance, where every joke, every word, every act is taken extremely seriously and must be politically correct. You can’t curse in fleets, you can’t laugh or have fun. This is how ASCN was, this is how every failed alliance in EVE has been. Politically correct, self-righteous assholes. This has to change, fun and laughter has to return.

BOB was not like this. BOB was about being good in this game, being arrogant about it and laughing about that arrogance when we meet. It was fun to be the badasses of EVE, it was a reason to play. What is the reason to play for IT? IT, Parental advisory required, someone might say a bad word or *gasp* make an inappropriate joke! There is nothing fun, cool or interesting in these values. We do not play a PVP game to be a “family friendly, casuals supported” act. We should play it for the killing, winning and laughs.

Despite the seriousness of posts such as these, it is important to remember that this is just a game, and we are leading people who when they play EVE have the primary goal of having fun.

We reach the true genesis of all this, a total displeasure with the current alliance management within IT, notably within their own culture. As my personal column mentioned, IT members have long been held as a silent participants of EVE. The Mitanni once mentioned about the dangers of being this “close” to the outside of New Eden, even going to on mention “how things were when BOB was around” which am sure is a phrase that is the bane of IT alliance. It is sort of sad when one alliance CEO needs to reminds other people how Eve sometimes is taken too seriously.

I remember being in an NC fleet when someone said on comms “EVE online is the kind of game that gets more fun when you take it seriously, only to be ruined once you start taking it too seriously”, since some people are misled to think that the more seriously you take Eve Online the more fun it gets, which is never the case. I just can’t imagine how people can pay for a game where you need to “endure” what’s said in the 4th point yet I know the great majority of people will agree on this once they do a proper reality check.

5. X13 and FinFleet are unable to continue any sort of relationship with the current CEO of RKK. They can internally vote if they wish to support Argentina and in such a case we will be resigning from this alliance.

We will give 48 hours for these terms to be agreed upon. If these points cannot be agreed upon, it is unfortunate that both FinFleet and x13 will be forced to part ways with this alliance.

Basically the “die has been cast”, an ultimatum issued and am sure that the great majority of both X13 and FinFleet assets are in empire already, I had a tip which I dismissed as a troll last week when there was heavy movement of super capitals out of IT space, it was about X13 bailing IT to join Deklein Coalition. To be honest, it was laughable until now, and whilst i’m not confirming it, I would like to point out how extreme things can get if the situation was to escalate from this point onwards.

An alliance can’t be restructured in 48 hours unless your name happens to be either Haargorth Amarr or Kartoon, so one could take this as a mere “formality” preparing either an instigation campaign for civil war, brewing grunt unrest or just leaving the alliance in a dramatic fashion.

Either way if these two corporations finally decide to leave the alliance, IT will have been dealt a great blow, not just because of the Super Capital force it will be losing, but because it would probably lead to a situation were the last to leave is the one who pays the bill.

One thing is for sure, a mighty empire may crumble to pressure from the outside, but the cracks usually start appearing from within… their forums.

So, this proves, that the whole success of the Goons campaign, simply is based on Finfleet and x13’s lack of particioation / strike against the leadership of the IT alliance. So maybe Goons morale gets a crack at this news 😀

I fought many times in various alliances helping IT/BOB, even in the past I was in Finfleet. I remember the old Chimera Pact days.

Needless to say, IT/BOB never did appreciate it’s allies like it should have, and thus as it has accepted a plethora of corporations in you have everyone wanting to be important and has thus caused disarray.

Get back to having fun, enjoy the game. I say props to FINFLEET and X13 for both taking a stand against asshats who thought the world revolved around them.

Perhaps if IT even survives, do away with your complex rules, sort your issues on coms versus IRC and forum wars, and treat those that come to your aid with respect not arrogance.

Well you got it wrong this 2 Corps are exactly this high nosed and selfish ppl, which dont care on allies, think they are better then the rest and leaving even their Alliance Members out there fighting, while they care-bear in their Supers and building more under the protection of the actual fighting ppl.

In the end its pretty simple, a small group of ppl want to control the entire Alliance, and all including the Corps COs should play brave pawns for them.

These are the guys whop actually Bled and fought, They were at 9/10ths of the fights, thats why it was such a huge deal when they didnt show up to 1 fight.

Its pretty simple x13 brings 10 Titans on routine and Finfleet brings 6 and both add another 35 Moms on a regular basis. The last fight would have been drastically differant if they had come.

Im glad they did this, if someone didnt wake up the Alli they would slowly wither and die on the vine.

Pay respect to the old veterans whitin IT and they will guide you to a bigger success then what you possible can do alone these days. I hope the problems will be solved cause it would be a shame to see IT failscade for the sake of New Eden.

And I’m sure SirMolle would rather listen to x13 and FinFleet then some of these newer IT corporations. Blood is thicker then water if you can put it that way.

It’s not an article; it’s a pull from the IT forums with a little editorializing at the end.

X-13 is not an old BoB corp. And while Finfleet was in BoB, it’s not one of the old corps. The old BoB corps are still in IT and aren’t about to forget their roots.

EVEnews24 still hasn’t figured out how to be journalists. Publishing stuff and not fact checking isn’t journalism. Well, not unless you’re the National Enquirer.

Point 4 – oh hell yes, that’s why I joined to ATUK in the first place… and it was a blast. And then IT got less and less… and I played less and less…

Hear Hear. I like the new proposals. I’ve always thought the IT alliance was too bloaty. The alliance is not a 6k character alliance. Its closer to 1-2k imho. Majority of the alliance characters are inactive. I like to see a merger of the corporations as well. The points raised are valid ones. IT have become an alliance for casual players. I personally like the alliance to be more for dedicated players who take the game seriously enough to play almost everyday to achieve goals. Thats how you become the best

Every 0.0 alliance right now are having internal issues, NC shouldnt be so quick to gloat they spent the last several weeks literally falling apart and crying due to PL and DRF.

Goons + Numbers are always having problems, the second North Korea stops holding their hand they will implode; they are the biggest joke of 0.0 who have yet failed to achieve anything on their own.

Hilarious leak tbh. Basing your assessments off one leaked post is a sure way to show your intel is bad. If you had real access you would be able to read all the (more) hilarious replys that really hit home. Our Alliance is going to follow a few of the pointers that the (emo) post demands. FC’s are running the show (if X13/finfleet would even bother to participate in the alliance they would know this) and we are trimming the fat. X13 and finfleet have been given marching orders. Best of luck to them. We wont miss them, they never turn up to ops anyway.

oh, expect Dark Rising to work with us again now the “problems” have been removed

You shouldn’t drink the koolaid here. Who says they’re the best? They do (so just a slight bias) and people who have a vested interest in trying to minimize ITs capabilities.

The best corps are the ones that show up and shoot at stuff; not hide behind the fighting corps and churn out SCs to park in Sanctums.

    2. Rooman IT alliance's Saviour!!!

Dark Rising isn’t going to improve IT & they definitely won’t change just how brain screwed you people in IT really are.

IT has the likes of people like Rooman making decisions & if that is the best you people can do then you have a bigger problem than even you realise (If your willing to admit it).

but you go along blaming others for your short comings, that is going to fix things for sure & you can’t lie to your own members as they can see whats going on.

I don’t know why they don’t just get that Rooman of ANZA to run things! He has a GREAT track record of being a leader, only problem is it usually ends with the alliance they are in falling apart for some unknown reason.

Does Rooman carry a curse from several EVE years ago, or is he just another empty headed twit that has a knack of totally screwing everything up & blaming others for it??…

Who will be the first to head for the door if the other 2 leave I wonder? Who will stay to the bitter end?

You’ve got it backwards. In the old BoB the corps ran themselves and did not interfere in one another’s internal organization. FCs didn’t set policy and do diplomacy: CEOs did. FCs implemented the military policy given them. What these guys wanted turned that concept on its head.

The Five Point ultimatum on IT alliance is a military dictatorship. Should the old BOB veterans tell us when to log on. This is a game. Let them leave if this is what they want.

Realy!!? IT’s Falling from Grace is all their doing. Greed and Selfishness are very bad habbits. Lets take a look a little back to see why all this happened.

    Phase 1 – North War

As you all know when IT + AAA + Atlas opened a Campaign to North, all the things were going well, afterwards in the middle of the Campaign IT has a habbit of joining to the SOV fight as a last late man. Because of this action the Alliances who has first go in to system have most the losses. Atlas have the worst of this losses so in the end they have withdrawn from the Campaign. As AAA has seen same scenario they have acted fastly (i’m from AAA too) and finnished the campaign to prevent more losses because of “IT late coming” to the fights and “The first bugging out” from the battles.

    Phase 2 – Reset

After the fail campaign Atlas has Reset Standings with AAA and IT. After the losses because of the campaign Atlas has taken a serious satback and the RA and their friends has seen this oportunity and attacked Atlas. While all these slaughter continues IT and AAA mutually reset eachother (this mainly came from because of not needing eachother in the coming future and at that time it was summer and nothing to shoot around). As you all reed from forums and from this website INIT has attacked to AAA with PL and WN holding the INIT’s hands as parents. When this happening IT has done the last mistake that it should do and they have choosen side with the INIT. In the end the invasion force of IT+INIT+PL+WN has managed to remove AAA from its lands. The problem has started after this, as you all know cause without PL+WN support INIT had nothing. Maybe IT has illusioned by the numbers of INIT Alliance but as all eve players learned that INIT is a “Empty Nut Shell”. They look big and steady from outside but it crushes to peaces even with a light squeezing. Maybe IT has thought that INIT has strong numbers to assist IT operations when needed but it turns out that INIT was thinking the same thing and IT was get used to help INIT operations. When AAA has got the support of Stain Wagoon + ROL + COVEN + ect ect. IT has not seen whats coming from north.

Phase 3 – In With in With in

I bet all of you have seen once a Yoyo Clown in thier life. A box opens and Yoyo Clown thrown out and scares the hell out of everbody. I think IT has taken this thing very serious and thought that
    – ” Goons and TEST is attacking”
    – ” Baahh they are nothing but a colony of bugs, we’ll crush them while we are crushing AAA and Cooparatives, they are no match for our SCs, they’ll bug out when they have seen our SuperClowns”
    – ” Errr wouldnt it leave us fighting in two fronts?”
    – ” No you idiot we have PetInit in our hands they’ll take care of AAA”
    – “Still it looks like a bad idea”
    – “Bahh coward moron”

As the real facts shown that IT has choosen wrong Allias to itself. Rightnow IT cant defend itself nore its allias (As you all know INIT is making an escape run with thier shoes hitting thier backs to Curse “Litom” system, their escape isnt enough from Catch, they are escaping from Immensea too cause their fellow WN friends has decided to put another kick to thier fallen Comrade.

Phase 4 – Shattering with in

All the events i wrote up there makes the IT reach to this position.

    – First of all IT lost its over-confident with the losses they have taken.

    – In the campain they behave like overlord to its allias instead of acting as a Ally.

    – They allways played one of the 3 monkeys. The Deaf Monkey. They havent listened to their Member Corps’ voices.

    – They have learned lately that 50 SC is nothing compare to the 1000+ numbers of the enemy fleet. Yes SC are awesome assets but without the support fleet of 500+ they are worthless as an Ibis. Because you cannot be at every place at the same time. IT has one Iron hand and yes when it blows it crushes but enemy has 20 Iron Fingers and stabbing from all fronts.

An advice to the IT : “DONT BACKSTAB YOUR ALLIAS IF YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH ALLIAS TO BACKSTAB LATER, OR YOU WILL BE STANDING ON A BATTLEFIELD WITH A BLODY HAND WITHOUT ANY SUPPORT”

This is why i love eve online.
This is an step by step plan how an alliance fails.

Win major battles, take a couple of regions -> check
    Become stagnant -> check
Put isk in own pocket -> check
Getting serious about eve online -> check

Now introducing the push that dropped the first domino block on the next:

    Hostile fleet invading -> check
Grunts losing moral by losing initial battles -> check
Becoming tense & serious in your fleets -> check
Sucking the fun out of your fleets -> check
Wondering why grunts are not logging on -> check
Hesitant to spend more isk/time to counter hostile invasion -> check
Leadership drama becoming apparent to public -> check

While these domino’s are falling, the ground is also tilting slowly to a vertical state.

The only way to recover is to get a grip on the reality of the game.
Convince your grunts to stand ground to their last breath by using motivation and fun as incentive.

Start making your fleets fun, don’t be shy to start spending all your isk to the cause.

BWAHAHA, yeah, look at all the shit you made me type!

………. If IT’s numbers were that low. they should have cut the empire down to match is size.

Now they wasted shit tons of isk, and play time in the quagmire that is fountain. Over extended in a bloated empire…that is now deflating on its own.

Should of cut out fountain a long time ago.

Well, there’s an old saying: be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

With the collapse of IT, its long-time enemies will be faced with an Eve 0.0 divided between the FC/Clusterfuck naptrain and the DRF serfs, with a weakened -A- holding a tiny bit of the south until one of those two sides crushes it for LOLs.

Goons achieve their avowed goal of a ruined eve – not by scamming everyone and forum trolling, but because all chance for PVP is gone.

Athough while I say Goons, naturally the blame for this mostly rests with Molle and his cronies. Their massive hubris opened the door for this, and it appears the wakeup call from Hagaroth went unheeded (and was probably attributed to him; doubt any soul-searching happened inside their alliance at the necessary levels).

Even PL won’t be able to keep things interesting in a 2-power Eve, since at that point their services won’t really be needed.
Ruskies and Naptrain rat so much everyone has personal supers to ferry stuffs to Jita, giving up PVP because the servers can’t handle the hot blob on blob action of 6000-10000 in a system.
CCP reacts by screwing up sov mechanics even worse.
Ships get spun, then everyone leaves for Tanks and Minecraft.

      Becoming bitter vet.

FinFleet and X13 are assets of great importance to IT alliance not just because of their current super-capital fleet capabilities (possibly the biggest super-capital holders in game per-capita corp-wise), but also they are regarded by many outside IT as the only competent corps left active in IT Alliance.

Are you drunk, stupid, high, retarded or all four? Finfleet and X13 have been in fleets, but they comprise a small fraction of fleet composition. Looking at the various battles this is easily confirmed in about 15-20 mintues. So again, Are you drunk, stupid, high, retarded or all four?
