Battlereport by Manfred Sideous (HAVOC):
Not long ago in galaxy close and near lived a alliance named Systematic Chaos. A alliance on life support from its masters IT. Relegated to the corners of space like a glue eating child with a dunce cap. Normally its existence was only acknowledged when pilots void of entertainment sought out a punching bag. However , one day not long ago as a collection of alliances and hired guns descended on Against All Authorities the child with its dunce cap found its courage.

This is a story of revenge as the good pilots of Burn Eden & Havoc crusaded to the corners of space to place the child with the dunce cap back into “IT’s” corner.

/roleplay off

Havoc and Burn Eden want to inflict revenge on the people that attacked AAA. We are no longer a part of AAA but all the same the attack on AAA was a attack on us as well. So we are visiting these groups 1 by 1 exacting some revenge starting with the weakest Dead Terrorist and moving up the food chain as we go. Which on our second stop brought us to Systematic Chaos. Recently they had moved there pilots over to Impass to assist INIT , CO2 and ED.

Satan and I gauged that if we were to hit Systematic Chaos’s home space and caused enough trouble we could pull SysK home to defend and feed on there fleets for our entertainment. Doing this would lessen the defenders faced off against CAAASEROL. As we started to plan and prep for our little incursion we learned Psychotic Turtle’s group Peanut Factory and another small group INFLUX from Soul Cartel were already in the area for there own reasons.

So after a short period assessing the area we moved in. Our first target was the system of EIMJ http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Period_Basis/EIMJ-M. This was the home of SysK’s only renter Galactic Syndicate http://evemaps.dotlan.net/alliance/Galactic_Syndicate. At first SysK was choosing to ignore us compelled to stay in Impass. The usual strategy was employed by SysK that most alliances first try against Burn Eden ” Ignore them” was the call made to everyone. So we dropped a SBU and started nuking there entire Jumpbridge network forcing there pilots to move by gate.

It wasn’t until the 1st I-Hub RF timer that we saw a fleet from SysK try to stop us. Together joined by there renters. We fought it out with them that night http://evemaps.dotlan.net/alliance/Galactic_Syndicate. Ultimately we lost the SBU but SysK failed to rep the IHUB this would be there signature mistake in almost every encounter. We would widdle there fleet down all night and make them pay dearly to accomplish killing the SBU. Usually by the time they accomplished this task it was late and they were usually spent.

As the Station and I-HUB exited reinforced a 2nd time SysK called there pilots home from Impass. Haha we had succeeded at our first objective now it was time to feast on there fleets and make sure the call home lasted. This evening as the I-Hub and Station came out SysK put out a RED PEN for the whole alliance and renters to show up. Apparently a batphone was used as IT moved several Supers and a Armor Hac fleet to: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Delve/CX8-6K poised within 1 titan range of EIMJ.

We had scouts all over as we are a small group using expensive stuff so we always try to cover our ass by at least having as much info as we can. As IT arrived we scouted them and the joke was made that ” Ladyscarlet made the blip on the map larger and they were easy to scout”. So we kept our supers logged off as IT had them in check and just concentrated on obliterating the subcaps http://killboard.eve-havoc.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=62457. Ultimately though we lost the SBU and SysK saved there system.

Next we set our eyes on L5D http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Period_Basis/L5D-ZL where Ceptacemia http://evemaps.dotlan.net/corp/Ceptacemia has CSAA’s @ Planet 1 Moon 1 and Eve Defense Force http://evemaps.dotlan.net/corp/Eve_Defence_Force home of the infamous ASCN “PR Man” John Mcreedy had a CSAA @ Planet 11 Moon1. We decided to up the anty a little bit this round. We setup in system deployed SBU and a Dickstar. We had hoped that SysK would come battle to save there system and hopefully put a dread fleet on our Dickstar.

It seemed we hit a nerve with L5D. SysK would idle stront timers and pos gunners in there CSAA towers around the clock. The usual claims of “nothing is in build” were made but we had credible intel that Ceptamia had a Nyx in build and Eve Defense Force had a titan in build. So the first fight over the system looked something like this http://killboard.eve-havoc.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=62654. The outcome was the sbu was killed but after losing some carriers they were afraid to rep the IHUB after losing the bulk of there subcapital fleet. Once again we put a new SBU up and placed the IHUB back into its 2nd RF. Also SysK were now paranoid of Spies and a CEO meeting had been called.

So we knew the next fight over the system would be huge as I-HUB was due out for its final timer and shortly after the Station came out for its first timer. The system had almost all upgrades in the hub CSAA , Jammer , Generator , Anomalies and etc. Also Molle was moving to the states and since we hadn’t fielded our supers the last time IT was on standby there would be little chance of IT having theirs on standby again. So I convoed SuperTwink and gave him a heads up of the situation. Twinkey was game and said he was in. Sure enough the next evening SysK formed there fleet complete with carrier blob and IT formed a drake fleet but no caps were placed on standby.

As the I-HUB exited RF SysK put there subcaps on the SBU along with IT Drakes and there caps on the IHUB to rep. We had already been thinning out support through the evening in anticipation of NCDOT coming in. We wanted to make sure we could execute a clean drop and SysK and IT would be left with nothing left to threaten tackling NCDOTs caps. We prepped a Havoc carrier with cyno and warped said carrier in slightly above the SysK carrier fleet. As the carrier engaged warp 5 dictors uncloaked from pounce spots and warped down and wrapped SysK capitals in a web of bubbles ensuring none would escape. The only letdown is even with the superior force SysK and IT mustered they chose not to field any of there supercapitals. O well take what you can get was the rationalization.

Our carrier landed and cyno went up. SysK comms erupted in chaos with the FC yelling im “fleet warping you im fleet warping you” but failing to realize all his caps were nicely bubbled. In poured NCDOT carriers and supers. We warped our snipers and support on grid as well anticipating IT and SysK’s panic. In came IT and SysK subcaps trying all they could to mitigate the “surprise sex” that NCDOT were administering. Before our carriers 10 min cyno was down all hostile caps were dead. Our snipers had eliminated any remaining support http://killboard.eve-havoc.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=62954 , http://www.northern-coalition.co.uk/?a=kill_related&kll_id=8111611. A total of 24 carriers had met there demise in the space of about 8 minutes. NCDOT warped off field and then cyno’d back out with a “High’Yo Twinkey and Away”.

SysK & IT managed to kill the SBU but due to losing there carrier fleet the I-HUB wasn’t repped. We placed another SBU and killed the I-HUB as SysK and IT stood down. KIlling the I-HUB was the icing on the cake for the evening. Furthermore , SysK had now fallen into paranoia kicking people from fleet limiting comms and denying even basic info to there pilots. Over the next few days SysK leadership went absolutely ballistic kicking corps and demanding all corps purge any member that had joined the alliance within the past few months. The best part was a good portion of the intel comms feed and etc was coming from long-term members who were fed up with SysK leadership. Forums are Lokta.org’d to the point that there is no life on the forums at all. CTA’s were REDPEN complete with threats of show up or be kicked. When Pilots tried to ascertain basic information they were scrutinized and accused of being spies.

Next was the final station timer in L5D. I should point out between all these large events we were cockfagging all there bear systems and ganking whatever moved in the area. We knew we wouldn’t be able to play the NCDOT card again. People had however taken notice of our shenanigans. DNS had volunteered to bring a bomber wing to the system and DBRB brought a roam of Nano Hacs down to play as well. The plan was as always kill all that we could and in the event that SysK failed to defend and we broke sov we had a funny plan in place. We decided that we would give TEST the system to get SOV in as SysK pilots were and still are in need of a massive Aid Flottila. TEST had agreed to take the sov if we broke it to stage “Shenanigans” from.

However the night played out with a good K/D ratio for us and pals that joined in on the fun. http://killboard.eve-havoc.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=62983 Sysk & IT killed the SBU with IT withdrawing soon after from system. They hadn’t repped the station so another SBU was anchored although when the pilot warped back into online it SysK had to there credit decloaked a bomber and onligned the SBU themselves. BAH ” Gameover” it was late and were short handed being the night before Thanksgiving alot of our members were off to visit family and friends. SysK still had a sizeable fleet in system and taking back control of the situation would mean killing the Hijacked SBU and deploying a new one. Defending it for 3 hours and then hitting the station. So we took our leave and shut down for the holidays.

During the next few days we didn’t play as people were enjoying the holiday and doing things outside EVE. During this time SysK finally came in and shot our dickstar with a BS fleet. The poor bastards shot that thing for over 6 hours to get it into RF. We had decided already before this point that we were basically done with the campaign. We didn’t attempt to save the dickstar as it came out of RF only sniped a few ships to killmail whore a little as we withdrew.

Conclusion:

It was a fun short campaign our primary goal was achieved of making SysK return home to defend. We also got alot of fun fights and had a pretty nice time. It was fun watching SysK squirm and ostracize there own members and corps and sad at the same time. I have been at odds for a long time in the past with Goonswarm. However I think they do get one thing correct they dont redpen the shit out of there pilots or lokta.org them a Goon is allowed to spread his wings and be all the Goon he can be. I think this is the enlightened path now and SysK was clearly in the darkages of EVE social paradigms.

Disclaimer* Fuck this is a wall of text. I don’t presume that im super cool or relevant in our actions. However I hope people get some satisfaction out of reading tales of our shenanigans. It is also nice to take a small group of people in the state the game is in today and make the impact we did. GF SysK!

Though seeing how fast you destroyed SysK I am surprised that you did not continue your campaign as you could have completely removed them if you kept the presure on. In either case, it was a well written account of the battle and I wish I had been there on either side to just have some good pew pew.

It is and always will be easier for Raider Alliances to choose when and how to fight, but in the end without a Space holding Alliance in their back they cant achieve anything but good KB ratios.
I will always respect the ppl who undock and fight over others, as long as they dont post how elitist they are, so loosing some ships to get experience, well a good trade afterall.

Since you love to tell 1/2 truths and BS the crap out of everyone to make you and your cronies look good, why dont you at least make up stuff that actually seems plasuable? I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m not here to lecture you on how to work your propaganda machine (the one you so desperately seem to like since you might be lacking elsewhere?) All I’m saying is, at least make stuff up so people can believe you.

By the way, I joined Sysk 3 weeks ago and I haven’t gotten kicked or even warned.

BE has always been the kings of finding some angle that’s very tough to defend against and exploiting it. I think about half of the significant, game changing nerfs in the history of this game are due to something they came up with.

If you’re flying “unprobable” ships now, better enjoy it while you can. Whatever BE is doing ATM is always a prime candidate for a date with the nerf bat.

CL, if you’re going to let people blog and engage in shameless self-promotion here it’s no longer a news site. I don’t really care one way or another, but if you’re going for “news” this ain’t it.

Unless you are willing to pay for professional journalist then the journalism post on this site will be less then perfect. The greatness of eve and its fans sites are the ebb and flow of player created content in the sanbox that is eve. The drama and conflict keep us all coming back to the game. Everyone in the game plays there part carebears , gankers , The proclaimed elite , the blobs etc etc. It is only human nature for everyone to have there own bias. Since this site is based around providing information over a wide variety of topics from a wide variety of contributors there will be bias’s. So what this whole article is stating is that absolutly nothing happened since the last time , but you wanted to explode the facts some more and then conclude by claiming victory. The fact is that Sysk still hold all the sov and haven’t even lost sov in any of their parts of space. So in the end , you managed to change absolutly nothing except shooting some ships.

yawn. Too long so I skipped parts

I give you thanks for teaching some nubs in the alliance about following orders and how not obeying a simple order or broadcast spamming can kill you or the entire fleet. I am sure that people who participated learnt something there. Nothing new for me but it was a good opportunity for others to learn.

As somebody mentioned above, SYS-K is not a PvP power house. We’re not good when it comes to big fleet, as most of alliance members are concentrated at skirmish warfare. This was a good chance for the alliance to experience against skilled opponents who’d use any means possible (spy, connections, etc etc) to boast and chest beat to the maximum extent about how they’re great and how their KB looks pretty. At first it didn’t go well, but time passed and I saw quite an improvement in overall fleet. There were still some mistakes here and there which led to individual loss but we managed to lower losses each time a fleet was fielded, and finally ended up killing one of the Nightmares as well. Not to mention the fact that from middle point towards the end you guys were too busy warping out all the time as soon as you warped in that it just got to a point of boring SBU shooting.

Yes, we did pull out of Impass but anyone knows that a war far away from home is just asking for it. It wasn’t a wise decision to field support campaign 40 jumps away from home and people were too spread out. And it just so happened that you guys were causing a bit of annoyance while we were away, so it was a good call for us to get everyone back into same place.

You managed to pull us out of Impass? Not really. It wasn’t because we were scared of you that we pulled out. There were suspicions that if the sov was broken (with the aid from whatever alliances you could pull) then it would be trouble. While you were ‘flexing’ your muscles it wasn’t actually you that we were worried about, but what was standing behind you that we were worried about. Sounds like a kid showing his tiny muscle off to his school mates while his big daddy stands behind him, no?

Either way I think I will stop here now. This wall of text is making my eyes pop out.

Oh please… Please don’t make it sound like you did all of this action with some elite battleship group. You had 11 supercaps destroy the jump bridges and put the station and IHUB in reinforce. The only reason you destroyed so many ships during the SBU battle was because it was clear your objectives were far different from Sys-Ks’. You could have made a run on the IHUB or Station while Sys-K was destroying the SBU, but you choose to harass the fleet. The only reason why you destroyed so many carriers on the 3rd battle was because of your supercaps, not your elite sniper fleet that ran whenever anyone got close enough. Was this good PVP experience? Yes… Did you kill a lot of ships? Yes… Was this some glorious battle that will be spoken of for all time? I think not…
