GM intervened and killed all TEST alliance TCU´s deployed in Delve during downtime. This game mechanics was used for a long time, in all conflicts and never has CCP made any action against it. When towers or structures were deployed before DT, they were normally found online afterwards. This creates a precedent and will lead to many speculations, why it happened in Delve controlled by IT alliance and why now.

The biggest problem in any law system is absolute ambiguity and unpredictability. I hope that CCP will take an official statement to this case and clear the issue forever. If not, it creates a big grey area, where GM´s can favor their favourite alliances by explaining and using the rules as they want.

Hi there,

I am writing you in regards to a number of TCUs which were anchored by your alliance a few minutes prior to Tranquility being taken down for an extended patch deployment downtime today. This rather ingenious timing on your part did give you an unfair advantage of sorts as any potential player entities which could’ve disputed these sovereignty claims were unable to do so due to the onlining period of the TCUs almost exclusively coinciding with the server downtime.

In light of this we will be offlining the TCUs in question and your alliance will need to re-online them should you wish to obtain sovereignty in the systems affected. Thank you for your attention.

Best regards,

////////// UPDATED //////////

Due to technical difficulties, the TCUs had to be destroyed instead of offlined. The process has been finished now and I will place 14 replacement TCUs in your hangar at a station of your choosing to replace the ones which were destroyed. Please get back to me once you’ve decided where you want the replacements to be put.

Best regards,

Whats more interesting is that several alliances gained sov during downtime without any notice by CCP. Yet their sovereignty claims remain intact.

////////// UPDATED 3 //////////

GM asks to stop discussing things in public under threat of repercussions.

Hi,

Please stop petition spamming as this will not facilitate any resolution. Please announce this to your alliance now or face repercussions. We are aware of the issue and are looking into it.

Sincerely,

For you non-native English speakers this isn't saying don't talk about it in public its saying tell your alliance to stop petition spamming.

In fact this whole thing appears to be hot air based on the decision to remove the only TCU's that were deployed immediately before downtime. That is something CCP needs to rule on as valid or not but there doesn't appear to be some big conspiracy.

Congratulations Czeck Lion! Your reporting standards now equal those of Fox News, NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN! They're horrible!

"All TCUs onlined during extended DT has apparently been destroyed.

I just spotted consistency from CCP"

Oh I'm sure it's totally coincidental that the rest were taken down hours after the shit storm started.

oh you folks are so quick with your judgement. comparing this website to fox is so pathetic as any nazi comparison to anything else. on this website there is so much space for people adding comments and often times there are more explanations in the comment then in the article itself. stop f***ing whining and correct the news you lazy bitches if you think you know better. at least you have the possibility here. a possibility btw that you don't have on fox. wich (i personally) don't think is the antichrist, but comes very close. (to make one of the aweful comparisons myself)^^

Test Alliance Please Ignore Declares War Against CCP Engineering Alliance

    From: CONCORD

    Sent: 2010.11.03 00:01

Test Alliance Please Ignore has declared war on CCP Engineering Alliance. Within 24 hours fighting can legally occur between those involved. For your convenience we have included the appropriate CONCORD War Rules:

The weekly cost is 100,000,000.00 ISK and you will receive a bill which needs to be paid promptly to maintain the war. If the bill is not paid before it is due then the war will be cancelled. If the war is cancelled then do not pay any outstanding bills for that war.

When an active war has been cancelled, there is a 24 hour grace period during which you can still be legally attacked.

If you are at war with a corporation that joins an alliance then the war will change from being against the corporation to being against the alliance.

If you are at war with an alliance and a corporation leaves that alliance then you will still be at war with the alliance but also temporarily at war with the corporation that left. The war against the corporation that leaves an alliance lasts 24 hours during this period you can attack them until the war expires.

Should you wish to resume hostilities against such a corporation then you need to declare war….

    COINCIDENCE

"Corruption of GMs or developers is a serious claim, made all the more severe by the fact that it has happened before. Several years ago, CCP developer T20's misconduct was famously exposed when it was found that he spawned several original tech 2 blueprints and left them in the care of the Band of Brothers alliance…"

"This latest drama has uncomfortably forced the T20 story to the forefront again, as the defending alliance in Delve is composed of many of the old Band of Brothers corporations that benefitted from the previous incident."

CCP ended up removing the SOV from other corps/alliances that put up TCU's just before the extended downtime. This is making a story out of nothing, as 14 TCU's going up before an extended DT is clearly trying to exploit the DT.

Looking at other that gained sov in that list… looks like Test is the only ones that were making serious claims of space in a hostile area, and they tried to use the update to take the sov without any work. It was cheap to say the leave. I don't see anyone else trying to make a full out sov attack using the downtime.

simply put Test tried to use a grey area to get the upper hand and CCP kept things on a fair level playing field.

Of course this is only allowed and UNCONTESTED when IT has done it over extended DT with POS and Stations. Then it's fair. When test does it with TCU's it's not fair. Because that's completely different.

Bullshit. TEST encouraged its members to petitionspam CCP, an act that is a violation to the TOS.

This is some terrible bullshit on ccp, with all the other stuff that can be done in this game, how are they justified in saying any thing is unfair.

  21. Why do you say they're telling TEST to stop discussing it in public when the only thing they're asking is that they quit putting up petitions.

Seems rather daft to try and them look bad by outright lying.

This comment is correct: "For you non-native English speakers this isn’t saying don’t talk about it in public its saying tell your alliance to stop petition spamming."

While I agree with correcting erroneous reporting, there is no need to dog Czech Lion for providing a free service without which there would be nothing to correct in the first place.

As an attorney, I have to take exception with the comment, "The biggest problem in any law system is absolute ambiguity and unpredictability." That's a gross oversimplification, though you could say it is _one_ of the biggest problems.

It's pretty funny that test/goon asshattery kids just don't realise that they will never win. You are the scum in the society around the globe, and that's the only thing that you never will be in EVE eather.

    So, STFU.

i find it impressive that TEST are bitching about not being able to take sov in delve. They say the only reason they want to take sov is to annoy IT alliance into coming back from the north to destroy there sov structures. But if IT do nothing about tease systems it will be hilarious. they serve to tactical advantage and no one rats in them. TEST will have to pay a sov bill and also paying for the sov structures. The fact that deklein is a long long way from delve someone with 4 gallente alts could sit there in ishtars and take down there sov as long as IT supply the SBU and then TCU. would take a wile but then again KM whoring often takes time. just look at the sad bastards that go back to a pos that has just been blown up after the fleet has left to blow up the rest of the mods.
