It was for sure a long day. For some maybe boring but many will be satisfied. Producers of ships will be happy, Northern Coalition about the result and CCP about the best testing ground for their hardware and software.

System location:

LXQ2-T (Etherium Reach) will be for long the system with most deaths and kills during 24 hours period.

The battle lasted from night to night and both sides showed numbers not many could imagine would be possible. 2/3 of Eve 0.0 population have sent their forces to fight in here. If we look at the results, they are rather one sided, if we check different killboards.

Overall results from NC pov:

Kills: 990
Losses: 99
Damage done (ISK): 47.81B – 47805.64M
Damage received (ISK): 5.91B – 5912.16M
Efficiency: 88.99%

KB links:

We have 90% efficiency and over 1000 killed ships. Thats a huge victory, hjowever we have to keep in mind, both sides fought in horrible conditions and Drone Russian Forces (DRF) had the disadvantage, that they had to jump, bridge or log in into a already overcrowded system. That cant be an excuse, as NC used their numbers and determination to be in system as early as 10 hours before the timer on the outpost run out. This clearly shows how important it is to have overall TZ coverage and not let the logistics on the very last moment. Whoever is first in the system usually has a full advantage.

I also don´t think DRF tried to crash the node, as you can´t really bet on it and the server results were far from predictable. In such battles, noone should judge the other side for using what they think is needed to win. Wars can be dirty and if almost 4000 players allover world meet for one event, just the manhours invested could build maybe few small houses :).

The system is conquered by RAZOR alliance and the outposts is named LXQ2 000 is not enough. Its the first station being captured in Drone regions (not counting IRC ones in CE this year) and after a long time there is a hostile outpost in Etherium Reach, a region i have a soft spot in my heart and will always have as iti will be forever my home in Eve.

Outpost overview:

The battle itself saw both sides threw absolutely everything into it. DRF tried to stop NC advance right away, knowing that their renting empire is threatened. Also it wanted to demonstrate that NC will have to count up to with 1000 players that can be called for defense. On the other hand NC had similar position. They had to prove, they can carry out a full scale invasion, and be determined and able to push no matter how painfull and hard it must be for the hundreds of pilots xing up for the fleets.

There were lot of magic about Drone regions. Many said they suck, and were not interesting. Now attacking an enemy that is used to alarm clock, be very well organised, that speaks language many dont understand made many people fear them a little bit. And it was much more entertaining to attack IT/Bob or Atlas/AAA just to generate the tears or forum wars. Now with the sov changes, there isn´t much left for the NC to do. And yet there was a enemy right at their borders, an enemy they haven´t seen as a threat for years.

With the South collapsing, and the massive sovereignty gains DRF made (as well supporting White Noise. – archenemies of NC) this has changed and i think the NC would die if they wouldn´t have this war. As weird as it might sound, the war the longer will last the better, as the empire usually collapses the faster you have nothing to do. If an outside enemy cannot be found an internal has to be. So for every entity in NC, this war even though its lag and nod crashes and structure shooting, its a creating and keeping a bond between them.

The big question is where and if will the NC stop. Drone regions are huge, and we are just one jump from empire. The danger fro DRF lies in having their drone alloys and minerals exports to empire lines cut back and forced to find alternatives. The renters used for easy empire logistics will have hotdrops and hostile gate camps on entry systems. And as the renting offer in the south has never been better, many will quit and just move to greener pastures. This all is lost money, and money is important.

In the end, the much needed pew pew that was long overdue in this part of New Eden will hopefully bring life again into these forgotten lands. A life that was last seen when Smashkill fought IRC/ED and XIX/SOLAR and later IRC/ED versus NC/RA/XIX. For carebears it also brings much needed spin for the markets for ships and modules. And it makes possible for smaller entities that fly alongside get some space and dream of becoming a Morsus Mihi, Solar Fleet, White Noise. or RAZOR of 2011.

Nice, 100% unbiased reporting there as usual. Love the interviews with the FCs and other players involved. Very informative, with no opinions – all honest, true facts.

Even though I am anti NC because of the way they win just by numbers nothing else and certainly not through there pvp prowess, that lets face it is non existant

I do however admire tham for the amount of numbers they can put togeather and how dedicated they are to a common goal and its against the Russians, perfect everyone hates them anything to stop the russians selfish desire by making money through macro bots, shame you cant get macro bots to fight enemies aint it

NC should be banned from the game for their deliberate lag tactics and attempted sabotage of the Tranquility server.

The NC has very good pilots and very shitty ones, as does every major entity, solo ganking the shitty pilots of another alliance does not make you specificly good as well as shooting people trying to load grid doesn't do that.

If you would ask me now what does make anyone good, i would have no real answer for that, but if you look at the sov. map over the time, everyone who managed to stay on that map or fights his way back on it, thats one way to define good. Not every single pilot but obviously the bunch as a whole.

In this regard of beeing good, 2 of the best entities are there fighting each other.

If we go on that philosophy then we would have to say Red Alliance are the best, lost there space 3 times over and has always come back respect to them

I'm butthurt? Lol ass, I'm in the NC. If I'm butthurt, it's because I had to deal with RL instead of shooting CCP in LXQ 😛

Czech it you want to write un-biased articles you need to stop using words like "We" in your articles, e.g. where you wrote "We have 90% efficiency and over 1000 killed ships." As well you need to get the story from both sides. Only posting the KB links from one side is by default biased.

Remember that each story has two sides and the truth lies somewhere in between, only by getting the story from both sides can you piece together the truth.

heh that was a nice report, but looking at wn killboard i see somthing like 370 kills to 80 losses in the last few hours, any words about this?

  14. The article is unbiased, some ppl here should train "reading comprehension" at least to lvl IV, when he says "we" he means "we" as observers/overseers of an event, not "we" as in "we fucking won".

If there is someone who could be NC biased, that would be me, but we know that being biased would to against the true purpose of this site.

As per the usual there are those that can nothing but whinge & whine about things! The tactic of being first in a system to get the best advantages has & IS used by all 0.0 occupants when attacking defending so to even try to say NC should be banned for it is nothing short of total stupidity.

The DRF knew what the go was just as much as the NC did & they waited till the last moment to make an attempt to either jump in or crash the node as crashing the node would of brought everyone onto the same playing field in the rush to see who gets back in first. (Is that what the DRF was doing? Who knows & who cares as it never worked very well for them this time round).

Is the fight for LXQ over? I doubt it very much & the are rumors that the DRF still has a bunch of supers logged off in LXQ which I doubt they would just want to leave there for too long.

It looks like things might be finally getting better in the way of lag etc & that HAS to be a GREAT thing for everyone that lives outside of the highsec regions of the cluster…

Both sides will use e-peen and kb stats, but none of that matters in the end. Neither side will "win" this despite what the sov maps and kb's say.

The true legacy of this engagement will be the awesome experiences that pilots on both sides take from it. Who does NOT enjoy killing caps, using caps, and engaging in fleet v fleet fights?

Everybody should have a damn fun time no matter where this NC v DRF war happens. Invading and defending systems are obviously objectives, but they serve to create the epic experiences that we will see and have seen so far.

Love fighting you guys, Krutoj. You kick my ass a few times, I'll kick your ass a few times, and we'll both have a fuckload of fun. :)

IDC who holds what systems after this. I just want to see Titan v Titan insane fights with as little lag as possible (*cough*nolag, yeahright*cough*)

@East Gem Massive (BND-16 Resident) Excellent weekend of fun and frolics, great adversaries and I saved money that I could have p1ssed up at the Pub instead will take the wife and daughter for a meal and pop to Ikea.

Nevertheless after a few vodka's and coke's kicked back and thought hey a few more regions to penetrate, explore kill or be killed.

Everyone who was involved (LXQ2) brought content and long may this continue.
